  1. A 4-2 team would have closed out NE and made ONE play against the Browns at home.
  2. Not sure I'd characterize her as gay, many words come to mind, but gay is not one of them. Not gay
  3. You do realize one of the side effects of living on steroids (not the MLB kind, the real medical kind) right? Destroys your joints, increases weight gain significantly etc.
  4. Ding, ding, ding....we have a winner. Almost went last year, but had to cancel. Hopefully going to make it next year. Not sure what I'm doing yet, but this is currently the leading contender.
  5. Pretty rough quote in that article.... "Thankfully, I'm now in remission from my arthritis – I just have an annual operation to replace whichever of my joints has been destroyed."
  6. Please let this guy get canned in Tennessee.... And hired in Buffalo!! This guy can coach football!!
  7. Don't get me excited! That would be a true dream come true. Jeff Fisher is one terrific football coach.
  8. Noticed that myself. There were multiple checkdown options, Fitzpatrick looked them off and fired a strike to Evans. I almost could not believe my eyes, it was so damn refreshing. Say what you will about Losman (or even Bledsoe), but they both tried to go downfield a lot more than Trent. OF course, neither knew when you should checkdown, whereas Trent has no idea when to throw downfield. Maddening.
  9. Just thinking and talking about the Bills....the effort in the NE/TB and 3.5 quarters of the Saints game was terrific. The last 6:00 of the Saint game and the Mia and Cle games have been horrendous. What changed? Well, we were down 17-7 to NO, 4th and 1 at our own 37 and Dickie J punted, giving the best offense in football the ball back versus taking a shot at keeping the drive alive. How much does one call impact the whole season? The whole attitude of the team? I'm not certain, but we went for on 4th and 1 twice against NE and our team played hard all game. It seems to me after that call against the Saints, we just quit...on the whole season.
  10. What he said. Never have bought one of the Donahoe-era clown costumes and never will.
  11. Thats already happening at Citi, its getting much smaller. See Article
  12. Its all cover your a$$. The unions have a tough choice, support Obama who they helped elect and push this through, thereby screwing their members due to the Cadillac plan tax, or oppose it and lose influence in Washington as the ones who helped kill healthcare. They chose option C, call for a public option, which they know people don't want, but the radical left does. The public option goes in the final bill and the final bill loses to the Reps and Blue Dog Dems. Same with Snow. She came out supporting the Senate Finance Committee bill, saying she's making history. The public option, which she already opposed, will be in the final bill that she can then vote against and say its because of the public option. She looks like the moderate Rep who tried for healthcare reform to Maine voters (who may favor reform with no public option, I have no idea). Friggin' hypocrites, every single one of them.
  13. Really? I think permitting over 200 running yards in 2 out of the last 3 games and having very little interior pressure on the QB qualifies as a problem. Plus, the guy could play end in a 3-4 or DT in a 4-3. Insightful.
  14. I don't think anyone is against healthcare reform, just that it needs to address additional things (like tort reform), while not blowing up our deficit.
  15. IMHO, I think he's pretty dead-on. http://www.nytimes.com/2009/10/14/opinion/...rss&emc=rss
  16. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;_ylt=Aheb...o&type=lgns Step it up Bills! I give a 2nd and a 4th easy, and then I give him the big contract and put him next to Stroud. You know he's going to be motivated to play NE 2xs a year. And he's been very good for Oakland. This is the type of guy you go and get. This would enable you to use your 1st rounder on a LT or QB while also bolstering your D. There is no downside here save the usual injuries. GET IT DONE!
  17. I disagree. In 84 and 85 we had just won the division in 80 and 10 games in 81, so we were decent a short time ago. In 1967 and 1968 we were coming off 2 AFL titles and just lost to KC for the right to go to SB I. In 1970 and 1971, you were not far removed from the mid-60s and had a young OJ (whho admitedly was looking bust-like) and a young OL that was beginning to gell. 1997 does not even make this list. One year removed from 8/9 playoff seasons and 4 Super bowls. 2001 we were sold the goods that we would take our big cap hit in Season 1, and then be OK. It sounded logical and we were still only removed from the playoffs by 1 year. In 1999, many had us going back to the Super Bowl. 2005 was rough, but this year will be worse, due to length of time we were even relevant. Point is with the possible exception of the 1967-1972 period (only 6 years BTW), the 2000-2009 (and counting) stretch is the single worst period of Bills football in our history. We peaked at 9-7 in 2004, our only winning season this decade. Putting up a 4-12 or worse record this year would be the most soul-crushing season in our history. It just means that after a decade of rebuilding, we are father away than ever. Now, I'm going to drink some scotch after typing this depressing post.
  18. We haven't had the mid-range passing game in years. We can generally run the ball, the screens worked very well against NE to counter their aggressiveness and we will try to hit the homerun on occasion, but the consistent mid-range game has been missing. 10-30 yard plays are winning NFL football. You don't need to hit that many, but a few per game is enough to back off the safeties.
  19. Makes you think twice about dealing a proven player for picks.
  20. Jabari Greer and Fred Jackson to name two.
  21. No question and you can acquire layman's knowledge over time. I'd rather pay for expert knowledge.
  22. Exactly why you need an advocate. Its not their job, but you had better be thorough in what you claim. And someone who has never dealt with this before will not know the proper questions to ask, where to push back etc. Without talking to the independent adjustor (who was a friend of my wife's uncle), I would have had no idea about a lot of it.
  23. I have it in a box somewhere. I'll have to look for it. They made songs for each opponent that year, I think the tape was sold by AM&A's.
  24. No, it wasn't an independent adjuster. We spoke with one who came out on the recommendation of a friend. This guy usually gets 10% of whatever the insurance co gives you. Our claim was too small (less than 50k) for him to take. He did give us some decent tips however, like hiring an inventory company. And, yes, the insurance company is trying to get away cheap. Just put you back together without regard to what may be lurking behind the wall (i.e. mold) that could be a problem later on. Oooops, now your kid can't breathe right because there was a latent mold problem....sorry, statute of limitations has run, you are SOL and have a dimished quality of life. Sorry, not playing that game. Fix it right the first time. I've had Service Master at my house three times already.
  25. Yeah, had to change my reference in American Pie from us sucking for 5 years to 10 years. Just awful.
