  1. I think guys like Wood, Levitre, Bell and Meredith will make a big leap forward this offseason as they spend more time in an NFL strength and conditioning program.
  2. I would hope in response to this that the NBA would significantly up its quality control. Three palming violations on Iverson right after he criticizes a ref should warrant an immediate investigation. In fact, all leagues should adopt high quality control standards to root out agendas, just call the damn game without an agenda.
  3. I really did not think it happened as much between the refs. My take is that Donaghy is exaggerating the "subtle" message from the league to make himself seem like less of an outlier. My suprise is how the refs take the game into their own hands as often as they do. And given MLB's plethora of blown calls this postseason and their absolute refusal to even consider replay, it does make me pause just a bit.
  4. Ummm....RG is the toughest interior OL position, much tougher than LG, at least according to Ross Tucker who wrote the best article on breaking down the OL positions I have ever read. Here is the article.
  5. The link below has some of the most explosive stuff I've ever read about a sports league. Just amazing. I know to take it with a grain of salt, but its pretty damning. http://deadspin.com/5392067/excerpts-from-...ant-you-to-read And here is some commentary about the excerpts, with anonymous quotes from league execs confirming its truth. http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_ylt=AiEw...o&type=lgns
  6. I think Boselli was better than all 3 (Jones, Pace and Ogden) when healthy. I never saw another LT absolutely stone Bruce Smith cold, one-on-one.
  7. This actually will make more of a difference than most think. My wife and I honeymooned in St. Maarten for 2 weeks, in February...well after football season and before baseball season. It was great and we would love to go back. But everything is priced on the Euro. Right now that just about adds 50% to the cost of your trip (excluding flights). If you are looking to leave the US, Mexico is not a bad deal right now. Neither are certain places in S. America (Argentina, Costa Rica, but not Brazil). But your options are very limited. I have no knowledge of Tahiti/Bora Bora currency. Too long of a flight for me. Also, BTW - this Administration is just as bad as the last one for the dollar. The last decent US President for the dollar was Clinton.
  8. Poz is too slow to play OLB. He is borderline too slow to play MLB in a Tampa 2. I think he would excel playing closer to the LOS in a conventional 4-3. We need an impact OLB. If we get that, Ellison and Draft to the bench as depth guys. Poz, Mitchell and new OLB as starters. We then would have LB depth.
  9. Lots of options you just laid out. I won't pretend to know which would be best, but if we have a need, I'll bet there is a way.
  10. Because all the robberies, assaults, drug dealers etc. are all locked up, the police have nothing better to do. Are you friggin' kidding me? Reason number 437 that my backyard is completely surrounded by trees/bamboo and no neighbors can see in.
  11. Apparently, Marty was negotiating with the Sabres in the offseason to come back. He figured he would go to the NYI and get to play more. If our backups are so bad, I could see a deal being made to bring Marty back. I think Marty's deal is relatively inexpensive from what I remember.
  12. Wow...just WOW! And while I really don't think Leach would be a great pro coach, any coach referring to his players' "fat little girlfriends," is pretty damn funny!
  13. The CLE showed me this team is awful. If we had won that game, I could be convinced to start believing. Since I was at that miserable game, no way this team is any good at all.
  14. Yeah, where were they against Miami and the Browns? They didn't show up in either game. Total mail-ins. A direct result of punting on 4th and 1, with 7:00 remaining against NO, IMHO.
  15. Great for three game teasers if you can get 10, tease a big line down to a near pick em.
  16. I gotta say that for all the sh*t I give Brandon, Modak et. al., Wood, Byrd and Levitre sure seem to be some great picks. Hamgartner is also a very good signing. Very nice job Bills front office. If they had just taken Oher instead of Maybin...
  17. How about this...FHA loan to a 4 year old!!! Seriously. A four year old. The times a comin soon to short the phone book. http://www.businessinsider.com/four-year-o...s-money-2009-10
  18. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;_ylt=ApBp...o&type=lgns With the 11th pick in the draft, the Buffalo Bills select too-small-to-play-every-down DE Aaron Maybin.
  19. For $60 million, I'd live in a cardboard box for a few years.
  20. He cost himself big-time by staying in school. Awful decision. If you will be a 1st round pick (in any sport BTW), you leave school immediately and get your cash.
  21. Any luck? The Post story implied she was a real MILF.
  22. A 4-2 team would have closed out NE and made ONE play against the Browns at home.
  23. Not sure I'd characterize her as gay, many words come to mind, but gay is not one of them. Not gay
  24. You do realize one of the side effects of living on steroids (not the MLB kind, the real medical kind) right? Destroys your joints, increases weight gain significantly etc.
