  1. I'm retired.
  2. Should be interesting/fun. Who will be the next King Of The Mice?
  3. I disagree. The player who hit him took a clean shot and stood him up, taking on an opposing player - which is fair. It was a snap-snap-bang hit in the blink of an eye. I don't think the BAL player had any intent to injure whatsoever. And I think Cribbs' trying to make something happen, despite the impossibility of the situation, is what a good player does. Nobody likes to be shut out... And BAL is fading - 0-0 at the half against CLE, and 16 pts. against a very troubled club in a prime time game. Flacco seems to have the sophomore blues. IMO, they better look to the secondary in the draft. And LB.
  4. Thanks. It should be a decent watch - Miami(OH) has come up short late, in recent contests.
  5. Very, very sneaky. Ta.
  6. BAL's offense has fallen into the toilet...
  7. The Bills' official site lists no one - as an Offensive Coordinator. Van Pelt is cited as the QB coach. http://www.buffalobills.com/team/coaches/index.html Is there any other "official" team site that doesn't name an O.C.?
  8. Not a thing wrong with putting forth a good conspiracy theory at this point, Coach T.
  9. It is. But well-written, easy to read, no spelling errors that I noticed. I'd a bit surprised if Schottenheimer returns to the NFL. I've thought that if he wanted to coach again, he'd seek a college position. Dunno...
  10. I always root against DEN because of their years of going after other player's legs. Then PGH - I lived there for 11 years, and many of their fans were crude. I referred to them as the "Hungarian Rhapsody".
  11. TO has 1 td catch. As of last week, before the TEN game, he had 23 total catches out of 50 tossed his way, and led the league with 9 drops. TO is no Houshmanzedeh, a player that took pains to help out a Fitz w/ CIN and would help out an Edwards in BUF. Better they signed him. Reed comes closest, I suppose. And he for years, was an object of TBD derision. At least he throws blocks. While we are firing coaches, include the WR coach, whoever he may be...
  12. A good center is a blessing, paying dividends for years. Move Wood and see if he can do it. They missed a six-day window and didn't ink 7-year savvy vet G/T Scott Kooistra with 83 game appearances under his belt. They have needs; I expected them to act. I understand rosters, contracts etc. - this fellow would have helped. Johnson caught 9 of 9 tossed his way. So much for keying on a 2-5 opponents' best player... Speaking of TO and fouls - I mentioned in a previous thread about PGH and their dumb PFs against CIN. Sure enough - Harrison punching Whitworth. Idiot... Did you see the game? I did, and I'm still vicariously sore all over...what a hard-hitting performance by both clubs.
  13. 3rd round pick DE Michael Johnson is getting plenty practice reps, as well as plenty playing time. And he's been effective. Orkapo is getting starts. Later draftees Cushing, Matthews, Maualuga are getting starts and press ink thanks to their performance. When I invoke TBD and don't log in, I often see a site named "Buy AaronMaybinGear.com" or some such in the ad box after the OP. I can't imagine a team that isn't giving their top pick adequate practice time. They have to - if only that they have try and make sense of the $ they forked over. It's just not possible to get around the fact that he shows nothing yet. He even failed to garner his usual 1 credited tackle per game against TEN. You expect that a #11 DE can contribute something, especially one touted as having that "lightning-quick" first move. My understanding is that NFL tackles are flicking him away as easily as a booger they pick out of their nose. Perhaps he's a late bloomer affected by his $ holdout...we'll see if a full camp next year helps him.
  14. It would. But as I noted above, their LBs and coaching are duds.
  15. The entire LB corps should be indicted. Young tossed 9 passes to Johnson, and he snagged all 9 (!). And one has to assume that they had the sense to key on him, especially since their best wide-out receiving threat was out... The task at hand was to do whatever it takes to neutralize a 2-5 opponent's best player. I would have spent the 1st half pounding him into the turf, even when he wasn't getting the ball.
  16. He also does some cameo commentary work for NCAA games.
  17. I always liked his post-game conferences. I also wonder why any big-time collegiate coach would leave those situations with the money, tons of side benefits, and join the NFL ranks and then be faced with changing player's diapers and trying to stop them from banging rattles on their high chair trays - constantly.
  18. He's recuperating from a dislocation of a plate in his left arm vs. USF, on Oct. 15. Missed 3 games; without the injury, Colleros sits. Colleros has filled in well. He reminds me of their former qb Ben Mauk. Collaros, like Mauk, is a fine collegiate qb - but probably not NFL material. Pike has a shot, injury question marks aside. It was a surprise that UC Coach Kelly put Pike in against WVU - the "guessing game", if you will. UC's been a surprise - picked to finish 4th in the Big East, losing 21 of 22 starters from last season. Kelly's a good coach - rumors constantly swirl about him going to ND. Pike in the NFL - dunno. He certainly benefits from good, very aggressive coaching, WRs Gilyard, Binns, Woods, TE Alli, and RBs Pead and Ramsey - as well as the current spread offensive trend in the NCAA. As well as a generally decent defense. He shows a good vision of the field, good arm, and senses pressure. But as a poster mentioned - only one and a half season's work. All in all, a pretty good year for the Big East - UConn, Pitt, Rutgers, WVU, UC, USF are decent clubs. UC ranked at #5 is deserved IMO - in addition to their conference games, they beat Fresno State and Oregon State. But a lot would have to happen for them to move up.
  19. Final: 18 - 12. JAX knocked off NYJ, TB leads MIA by 1.. MIA ball at their 41, 1 minute left.
  20. Silver lining - we might have seen them punt on 4th down.
  21. Where's Maybin? His 1 tackle/game streak is in jeopardy.
  22. The bookies are getting nervous...TEN was giving 7 points.
  23. Only 6 total punts so far...weird.
