  1. Dunno. I struggle to remember the name of a guy who was my first supervisor in a job that lasted 10 years. I'd be surprised if Boldin's memory about the long past is better than mine.
  2. Heh. What about the thousands of jerks that populate any NFL stadium, standing, screaming, shouting, and abusing the team's other fans, ruining it for them, all game long? Let alone any fan of the competing team. You are certainly out there - you post and brag about your behavior here, from time to time. Justifying such by saying that "I" paid for a ticket. "I'm" a fan. "I" don't give a flying fu*k, If they can't stand it, F them. Boozed up drugged up, going in, boozed up going out. And now pleasing themselves by holding this or that player to a hypocritical standard that they haven't met themselves since they were a 2-year old filling diapers. I don't see Lynch as being a menace to society, or a thief, or a person who goes out of his way to abuse others for the purpose of getting his groin stirring, unlike certain members of the paying, baying crowd. He's erred. He erred against the rules of his employment. He broke laws. For that, he may lose a bunch of cash. That's his look out.
  3. Yep. B'gals G/T Stacey Andrews signed the 1-year top five deal. A 4th rounder who struck gold. Got a knee torn up in the latter half of the season. That's bad, but he got a bucketful of cash up front. Who knows? He may never play again, but if he has a half of a brain and he watched that money, he will live a secure, fortunate livelihood for the rest of his natural life. Nice housing, car, food, etc.
  4. The Ohio Legislature took action against this charlatan bunch... ..."In March 2007, a federal court in Ohio upheld, with slight revisions, that State’s anti-funeral picketing law."... http://www.adl.org/special_reports/wbc/default.asp
  5. That should make concession and parking prices rise... The NFL should elect P.T. Barnum into their Hall of Fame.
  6. A trade made in heaven...RB Marshawn Lynch from BUF to CIN for WR Chris Henry plus cash. Both clubs gain needed firepower!
  7. He did - after many years. Folks like Ward Connerly and Niger Innis have been ridiculed and scoffed at for years by the race racketeers.
  8. Always a bad idea to take a look at a guy with an uncanny ability to get open...
  9. Unless some team feels that he has tackle or guard potential, I always thought that he would fall into the 2nd round.
  10. Simms doesn't strike me as a QB with any sort of an especially distinguished career. http://www.nfl.com/players/chrissimms/profile?id=SIM339462
  11. Nope - he was on NE's squad in 06 and 07, and was active for some games there. Yep - he was a ND player. http://www.nfl.com/players/coreymays/profile?id=MAY716331
  12. The IRS considers winnings like this as income. Just like folks who win stuff on tv game shows. So you will be getting a 1099 to add to your income, and pay taxes on. Bon apetit!
  13. Like Jim Leonard? AFAIK, Harris never played with Bflo.
  14. Yep. I'm not entirely sure of the laws for transport in OH, other that physical separation of ammunition and firearm. I occasionally visit a local indoor range...ammo in the passenger cabin, firearms in the trunk with quality trigger locks. Were I stopped for a traffic infraction, and were asked about the presence of firearms, I'd say so. I cannot conceive of a charge being levied. My efforts were in good faith. If almost inconceivably, my vehicle was stolen with firearms in in, I would contact the police and give them a description and, the serial numbers.
  15. IMO, LBs Rashad Jeanty, Brandon Johnson, and S Chris Crocker would be decent additions to Bflo., albeit at a price. LBs Corey Mays, Darryl Blackstock, DT Orien Harris should get a look, as backfill players. http://news.cincinnati.com/article/2009021.../902180378/1066
  16. That's a good reason to keep a 6-pack of a liquid nutritional supplement in the house, like Ensure. They are a quick shot of needed protein, sugar, fats, and vitamins. Use such judiciously otherwise, though. They contain a fair amount of potassium, so caution for folks on certain BP and heart meds, and constant use brings the risk of being reliant on something sans much fiber becoming an easy out, instead of proper eating.
  17. Don't discount the pain. The Hamilton County, OH Sheriff, Simon Leis, was beyond maudlin on tv as he spoke of the departmental layoffs - 90% percent were officers and low-level clerical staff. He did go on to say how the higher-ups were vital, and key to managing the reductions. Still, there was that shock among the public roll. I've suffered three layoffs in the private sector - I can't imagine what is going through the minds of people who though they had a life-long sinecure (as was so for many years) and treated us hoi polloi with smarmy disdain through the years and years...
  18. Indeed. There was some squaker here claimed that turboprop aircraft were dangerous. Perhaps he might recall the planes that the US Government uses as hurricane chasers, the planes used in the North Atlantic in running the USCG International Ice Patrol. My ratings: 1. DC-3 2. C-130 3. B-52 4. Cessna 150 series 5. Anything else - you pick.
  19. What do you know about Boehner? His congressional district is next to mine. I've known of him for years. His opposition to earmarks, pork. So now you know his name. Do you know his legislative history? Of course not. You merely exhibit the common leftist knee-jerk reaction...including your childish dismissive preface to the man's name..."Bozo". But that's the alpha elitist, well-heeled liberal way, eh? Belittlement, hate, a sense of superiority along with the conning of millions and millions.
  20. Since you are sure, please educate us all, and let us know exactly what those valid reasons are that make Cincinnati known as one of the worst places for race relations. Don't omit black hatred, as you search and tell us. I await your facts.
  21. Nice to see you once again, take the captious tack and miss the big picture...
  22. As a retired bar fly, and as a service for bar drinkers everywhere... Make sure all your vehicle lights are functioning. Leave that bar with a burnt-out headlight, brake light, don't bother to use that turn signal, etc., you are a candidate for stoppage - you didn't comply with the ubiquitous vehicular laws. Which are easy to comply with. Evidently less so if you are an authentic load...which the police well know.
  23. Dunno. But if there's truth to him spending big bux on supplements, the implication is that he needs them to get to a size that makes him considered as a draft choice. If he is doing so, he has other worries to tend to...now and in his future, IMO.
