  1. Brownies are punching CIN's lights out, despite only leading by 3. B'gals haven't got a first down since the 1st quarter.
  2. CLE's come back to make a nice game of it. Cribbs has over 100 ret. yards. Nice looking rookie wr named Mohamad Massaquoi has 4 for 125. 1st and goal on CIN's 8 for the tie. EDIT: Anderson tossed an int. His first - Palmer also has one.
  3. Poor Brownies... 14 - 0 Cin. Out-gained 155 - 12, 9 fd to 1, only have 2:17 TOP Browns get stripped on CIN 27, DE Geathers takes it 75 yds for a td.
  4. CIN-CLE. They're usually loaded with picks - the uniform colors are so alike. CIN drives down with some Carson Palmer usuals...one delay of game, one averted by calling a time-out, an audible that is always a run left. Then CLE blocked the FG try.
  5. The spin is ramping up - blame Republicans for wanting to embarrass America, blame Bush...no doubt the race card will be flung sooner or later. The enabling press will be active all weekend featuring the WH apologists.
  6. Here's the league IR/PUP list so far. The Jets have been fortunate... http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/injuries/pup
  7. There's always John Beck...he's out there just waiting for the call.
  8. People may well cry after the milk is spilled. Don't cry beforehand. He's a rookie, there is a learning curve etc.
  9. I always read Jack's posts. Witty, informative - what else is there?
  10. Put in six OLs and stop the pretense. After 3 games, their wide out reception total is 24. 10 to Reed. As someone here noted, Fred piled up more than half his yards against a very weak club (TB's rookie HC and OC called one of the worst games in my recent memory, btw.)
  11. May I quote you?
  12. Have you checked out your printer driver cd(s)? I've an older Samsung laser printer, as well as a Canon inkjet multi-function job. Both of them had Nero, Adobe, etc. toss-ins on their driver cds.
  13. Stop off in OH, on your way up to Rachacha. Not free, but close enough...a 750 ml glass bottle of Windsor Canadian 80 proof belly-warmer goes for $8.90 here - and no tax... http://www.junglejims.com/beer/index.asp
  14. I certainly hope he recovers. But if you ever wonder about this or that notable... http://www.deadoraliveinfo.com/
  15. (minus 11).
  16. ..."The NFLPA has filed a formal grievance over Mangini fining a player $1,701 for not paying a hotel for a $3 bottle of water." Well, Thou shalt not steal... Anderson getting the start is good news for CIN. IIRC, the last time he played them, he tossed 3 picks. And there are almost always picks in a CIN-CLE game. Their uniforms' various color combinations are so close. I've seen years of QBs on either club making making terrific throws right into defender's arms. If CIN can, they should wear their orange popsicle suits (orange jerseys and pants). Gawd, they are horrible. The only contrast is those black fungus stripes on their helmets. EDIT: Last years' pickfest total was 8...five flung by the Browneyes and three by the Ohio River Candy Stripers (a.k.a. the ORCS).
  17. Or he could have said "I stunk and we all stunk.", then left the room.
  18. He ended up at CIN in an odd way (these days). A player swap - Leonard for DT Orien Harris. STL cut Harris, and DET signed him, then recently cut him. That's the way things go. STL couldn't find a way to keep Leonard on their roster, CIN the same with Harris, and then DET. Harris got 4 solo tackles and 10 assists with CIN in '08 in spot duty. I can't say that I noticed his play, though. He could be an unpolished gem or a stiff - beats me.
  19. He's done a decent job on ST duty.
  20. I've mentioned him in previous posts. He's been on the edge of roster cut-down time with CIN for a couple of years. IND put him on their roster in their SB year. I don't think he got in a carry, though. That blocked punt was nice - but the thing about him is that he has the keen eye for blockers, offensive and defensive. He's not a juker. However, he is lightning fast after a hand-off and can turn the corner and get through a mess in the middle. I'm surprised that he hasn't been picked up by some club, if only for his overall ST play. There are plenty of good players out there - but roster limits, other position needs, contracts etc. conspire. A good front office always combs the backwaters... and the Bills should take a hard look at the cut LB Darryl Blackstock. If CIN's Maualega's knee injury takes a turn for the worse, Blackstock will get the phone call.
