  1. There will be one more move made after June 1.
  2. The Sabres don't lack talent. In fact Lindy Ruff is inheriting a mostly playoff caliber roster that needs a few tweaks. As for why the Sabres have underachieved for so long, it's mostly bad luck. Sure there were a couple of questionable hires. But mostly you look at the names going in and think they were strong. Dan Bylsma was a cup-winner. But he rubbed Golden Boy Jack the wrong way. Phil Housley had a great rep as a player and amateur coach, plus he was a former Sabre. People love that. Jason Botterill as GM, same thing. Former Sabre. Came from the Pens organization where he won a cup. Ralph Krueger was the talk of the league when he coached the Oilers. They all seemed like good ideas at the time. At least Granato left the team in a better place. They were in shambles after Krueger. Donny got them to within a point of a playoff berth. There's also this notion that Terry is/was cheap. That unfortunate "maintain lifestyle" memo left a bad impression. Most of that came down during COVID. The Sabres were losing money even before the lockdowns. But people forget the massive contacts the Sabres handed out to players like Ville Leino, Jeff Skinner and Christian Ehrhoff. Those deals somehow made the Sabres worse. Leino never even scored a goal for Buffalo in his final year.
  3. The Sabres are his first love. He's not selling. Of course I also said he wouldn't fire Granato. 🤷‍♂️
  4. It could be just him trying to learn as much about the NFL as he can. Terry is living my dream of owning a Buffalo sports franchise. And I would be just as clueless coming in. Nothing wrong with observing. Just don't get in the way.
  5. Huh? The man who avoids press conferences like the plague loves the limelight? 🤔
  6. The average NFL stadium life span is now around 20 years. https://venuesnow.com/the-shrinking-nfl-stadium-lifespan/#:~:text=The standard lifespan of an,Soldier Field%2C completed in 2003.
  7. Wait till the day they decide to build a new one.
  8. I swear the Bills will eventually end up the only NFL team that plays outdoors.
  9. This class of UDFAs are definitely a long shot. But the Bills have 2 UB players now, both DBs. Cam Lewis and Ja'Marcus Ingram. There always was a close relationship between the Bills and UB Bulls. Before UB built their own fieldhouse on campus, they used the Bills facility. Made it easy to scout players, I guess.
  10. Rendering of a proposed new Chiefs stadium, built in Kansas, is leaked. Oh look, it's a dome. 🤔
  11. Nothing happens until June 1.
  12. Yeah. These rookie tryout players try to get multiple invites. So few get invited to training camp. Andreesen was the rare bright spot for UB last year. He's a player McDermott likes. Non stop attacker.
  13. Lancaster kid gets a shot with the Bills. I hope he sticks.
  14. Gee, no one reminded of that fact in at least 5 minutes. 🙄 We all thought the Bills drought would never end too. People tend to think you get worse as a team for every year you miss the playoffs. So at 13 years the Sabres must be the bottom of the NHL barrel, right? The Sabres have tons of talent in Buffalo and a boatload of prospects tearing up the AHL in Rochester. Donny got them to the doorstep last year but no further. Now it's Lindy's turn. I'm the meantime you can follow the Amerks playoff on AHLTV.com.
  15. If he doesn't stick somewhere, a year in the UFL would be just the thing.
  16. McNulty kicked for the U at Buffalo for 4 years. A cannon for a leg but accuracy was an issue early in his career. He would miss XPs regularly. 🤦‍♂️ But he gradually improved and become fairly reliable by his final year.
  17. Make every team carry one such player. Why not?
  18. I love it when Bills fans act like Beane is some kind of idiot when you look at the loser parade we had at GM since Bill Polian. 🙄
