Since viruses don't recognize state borders, you need a national response to a pandemic, period. There are no states rights in a pandemic. There was a story just published that Jared Kushner had a national plan he and a group of advisors were ready to launch in spring. But at the time it was only "blue states" that were being hit hard. It was decided to kick the job to the states to embarrass those governors. Sadly, the idea that blue states would get it under control, while red states would eventually be hit and struggle with it, never occurred to them then.

I'm a big THC fan but honestly the few times I've tried CBD products (cream, pill, vape) I didn't notice any effect. But that could also be due to the lack of quality control on CBD. Anyone can claim something is CBD whether it has any or not.

I went back to my old league, that is playing despite Covid precautions. They let me work out before the games. Had no choice because none of the rinks here in NH are offering stick-n-puck for the general public yet.

Some of you might know I've had Conformis implants installed in both knees. It's been 14 months for my right knee and 8 months for my left. I've been dying to see if I could return to playing hockey, so I laced up my skates and got on the ice for a 20 minute skate with a stick and puck. The first 30 seconds felt like I was going to wind up on my arse, but I found my balance returning quickly. I kept skating until I felt my first "twinge." I wasn't able to cross over yet, and I didn't try a sideways snow-spray stop yet. But I feel like I might be able to start playing beer league in a few weeks if I keep going. I still feel an echo of that twinge in my left knee but it's not bad. I have to get stronger in both knees. I have not done much more than walking and biking since my recovery.

I've had some inspired creative solutions come to me in altered states. A lot of nonsense too, but I do hit on a few.

That would work for the Jays but not for Yankees, Mets, Indians and Pirates games. Why Cleveland and Pittsburgh are blacked out in WNY makes no sense. SNY and YES cover the Yankees and Mets, but how are you supposed to watch Indians and Pirates games? What channel?
