  1. Ditto. I'm all paid up so I'm going to let it roll and hope there's a chance to see one game live.
  2. Nah, that would not go over too well. You have a team that's been spinning its wheels for 9 seasons. Pulling a stunt like that would anger most Sabres fans.
  3. Well how many major league ballparks are sitting around unused? The idea of sharing a park was quite the long shot as well. Fenway Park doesn't have a massive clubhouse, so they built makeshift lockers in the concourses of the stadium. Could that not have been done at Sahlens Field? Could LED lights been installed in the past few weeks? Could bullpens have been moved to outside the outfield wall? I find it a little hard to accept that a park that is acceptable for Triple-A ball is that far from usable for MLB. I suspect it's more the players not wanting to be in a lesser facility, not that it can't be played in.
  4. I'm not sure why I'm taking this so personally. It just feels like they are stringing Buffalo along. You have to admit this is a major clusterbunch for the Jays. It feels like they were caught flat-footed by the Canadian government's decision.
  5. You have a special situation here with the pandemic. Everything is less than ideal. You only play a 60-game season, only half at home. You'd think a team could suck it up for two months and deal with a cramped clubhouse. Don't forget they have the entire facility to spread out into. Lighting could have been upgraded by now. The Jays had 6 weeks to work things out. If they had committed to Buffalo most of their grievances could have been addressed. Instead they strung us along like a prom date hoping to do better. Frankly it's hilarious watching them embarras themselves, announcing the deal with Pittsburgh only to have the door slammed in their faces. I hope they enjoy that 60- game road trip. That's going to be sooooo much better than playing home games in Buffalo.
  6. Well I feel better knowing this. Don't you?
  7. Are the Bucs playing the Raiders this year?
  8. Makes you wonder how focused the Jays are on the season if their players are whining about how nice their temporary home is.
  9. A freshwater crawfish. And quite tasty.
  10. By his hometown hockey team. On a real note, Bulldog Chris Parker's goalie son was drafted by New Mexico of the USA junior league NAHL.
  11. That includes me. A stop at the McKinley Rd. Wegmans is what I tailgate with.
  12. That would be a Rutgers record.
  13. I was skeptical but I'm starting to think it might be on time. Why? Because major retailers are enforcing mask use. We still have 50 days to bring the curves down.
  14. Turns out the players don't want to play in Buffalo 'cause it's icky. Here's the best solution for the Jays: play all road games.
  15. I drive 45 minutes into Massachusetts just to shop at Wegmans once a month.
  16. He's going to be Kanye West's running mate.
  17. They could install fountains like the Bellagio Dancing Waters around the court.
  18. Good interview with Lewis and Jaret Patterson who FYI was ranked the #4 RB in college football going into this season.
  19. Our numbers ticked up slightly but are still much better than most of the US. Considering how close we are to Boston, a place that was a hot spot not long ago, that's pretty good.
  20. I live in Manchester and have not seen a word about the Jays considering playing here. The NH Fishercats are Toronto's AA affiliate. We have a 6500 seat park along the river with a Sheraton hotel in the outfield. (No, really.) https://stadiumjourney.com/stadiums/northeast-delta-dental-stadium-s273 It's 15 years old. I don't know if it has LED lighting or if the clubhouse and player facilities are MLB quality. (Probably not.) While there is that one Sheraton hotel next to the stadium, it's a few blocks before the next closest one, but that's it for downtown. All other hotels are in the outskirts. So there are nowhere near enough to house visiting teams.
  21. https://buffalonews.com/sports/buffalo-bound-canada-denies-blue-jays-permission-to-play-in-toronto/article_2bd47384-c92a-11ea-b29e-b3ec114b6725.html Canadian government won't lower quarantine requirement for visiting teams. So it's Buffalo or some sandlot.
  22. There's a slight difference. We hope the team gets a little better. We don't expect it to cure disease.
  23. So that's the go-to explanation anytime Trump does something inexplicably stupid? "It's to own the libs."
