  1. FYI: If you have MSG+, the Amerks @ Hershey game tonight and Thursday will be on. No word yet if the rest of the games will be. But you can see Games 1 and 2.
  2. If you want places in Buffalo to stay in, the best neighborhood is Elmwood Village, which is Elmwood Ave from Bryant St up to the 198 parkway. Lots of restaurants and shoppes. I think the AGK art gallery renovation should be done by then. Next best is Allentown which is Allen St from Franklin St to Wadsworth. Chippewa St from Main to Elmwood is the night club district. Other things and places to see are Canalside downtown, along with the naval warship and submarine you can tour. Buffalo Riverworks located in what they call Silo City, a collection of old grain elevators being turned into an arts and nightlife district. The Sabres might be playing that weekend. Might be worth seeing a game. And speaking of Niagara Falls, if you go, stay on the Canadian side. It's a lot nicer with way more to do, and a better view of the falls. I don't know what the current requirements are for crossing the border but bring your passport and you'll be good. PM me for details.
  3. Plus you have Jiri Kulich tearing up the AHL playoffs at 19. Good vibes all around in just two years.
  4. I have to ask, do you pay more than passing attention to the Sabres? Because to say we don't have our "Josh Allen" when we have Tage Thompson, Alex Tuch and Rasmus Dahlin, and "Stefon Diggs" players like Dylan Cozens and Jack Quinn, and now goalie Devon Levi, is just bizarre.
  5. "Yes, but Lederhosen chaffes me so."
  6. I'd rather they have a play-in round like the NBA. Make those extra games mean something.
  7. Top Sabres prospect Matt Savoie ended his Junior season and is now with the Amerks, who if you haven't been following, are on a tear in the AHL playoffs and are one of the Final Four teams for the Calder Cup. Jiri Kulich is on a 6-game goal streak, and now you're adding Savoie to that roster?
  8. It's more the inability to admit an error. You have Twitter warriors on a crusade suddenly faced with proof their screeds were wrong, they can't say "oops. " It's easier to just deny the evidence and carry on.
  9. There are still people on Twitter doubling down on him being guilty despite evidence to the contrary.
  10. How many team owners are experts in the sports their teams play?
  11. I prefer doing that. I don't eat or drink at games. Don't want to stand in line. Don't want to manage my food in a crowd. You'd think that with Hochul securing stadium funding, Del North would have the advantage, huh?
  12. This must put them on notice when the Key Bank Center contact comes up. That's me as well. I always go to Wegmans market cafe first. You didn't explain it very well the first time.
  13. Eewwww, is that what was on the cup? It's how the league got Jerruh to ease up on trying to move the Bills. Edible food that doesn't require a second mortgage.
  14. Anderson himself remarked how gratified he was to see a packed house to listen to songs that were 50+ years old. I think he played "Owner" because it was short! 😂 Every other song they played last night clocked in at 10 minutes +. @LeviF As for "tattered remains," Anderson is who you want to see at this point, not Steve Howe pretending to be Yes. That band that Anderson had was tight.
  15. But look at that set list. Pretty deep otherwise.
  16. That's the going rate unfortunately. No such thing as discount tickets when you are a contender. Great point. December games will be a lot cheaper.
  17. Same is true of hockey. Once youth programs started in Arizona and SoCal, kids from those programs are getting drafted into the NHL.
  18. Jon Anderson and the Band of Geeks brought the house down at the Riviera last night. Standing O's after every song. Even at 78 the guy can still hit the high notes. yours is no disgrace perpetual change close to the edge heart of the sunrise starship trooper awaken --intermission-- and you and i I've seen all good people gates of delirium roundabout ----encore---- owner of a lonely heart
  19. It's probably why he left. Don't be shocked if some big names start getting dropped. If I'm Jeremy White I'd be nervous. Companies look at the largest paychecks first. And WGR has plenty of Buff State comm majors to fill air shifts.
  20. This is a bit off topic but I wanted to share this here. https://www.sciencealert.com/dog-brains-have-unexpectedly-grown-larger-scientists-discover If you're like my family, we speak to our dogs like people. The brighter ones, I think, pick up quite a bit after a couple years of living with their humans. I'm not surprised their brains are getting larger.
  21. Hey, I'm in town for Jon Anderson at the Riviera!
  22. I bet a lot of those ads are what they call "PI" or per inquiry. Ever hear an ad that has a code? ("Call now and use the code 'WGR'....") That's to identify what media brought in the customer. Stations get paid only for responses. It used to be something only heard overnights. Now?
  23. Share price down to 9¢. https://www.allaccess.com/net-news/archive/story/228101/trading-of-audacy-stock-shares-halted-due-to-nyse-
  24. If it isn't the Bills I don't think I'll watch. I already subscribe to too many services as it is. Even if it is the Bills I'll have to think about it.
  25. Malcolm Subban had been doing well.
