  1. That's BP. Can Josh hit a 90+ curve?
  2. "Who on earth would pay for TV that's free?" - someone when they invented cable tv
  3. Surprisingly little. Since 1998, when this site was called Hyperbills and was affiliated with the D&C, I moved from Rochester to NH. Became self-employed in 2004. Kids moved out. Got older and more rickety. That's about it
  4. https://buffalonews.com/news/local/education/medaille-university-will-close-after-sale-to-trocaire-college-falls-through/article_a98f1590-f33e-11ed-9e36-67165ed47805.html?utm_source=buffalonews.com&utm_campaign=%2Fnewsletter-templates%2Fbreaking&utm_medium=PostUp&lctg=4093463&tn_email_eh1=8ee4dc94f7abade68eb6f29d57c194d4d86f05ba This is a shock to me. Any alums here?
  5. It will be either Colorado or Calgary in the west, to be decided this Saturday.
  6. Gonna try to remember every car in order since age 16... Rambler Ambassador Toyota Corolla Station wagon Dodge Dart Chevy pickup VW Ghia wagon Ford station wagon Volvo station wagon Chevy pickup VW Diesel Rabbit Another VW Rabbit Chevy Astro Van Mercury Sable station wagon Sable sedan Dodge Caravan Ford Windstar VW GTI Nissan Altima Another Altima Hyundai Sonata. I'm sure in forgetting something
  7. But we also obsess over that WR from Northwest Southeastern State. I don't see the difference from following college to following a spring pro league. They are all sources of potential NFL talent. But it's not just about developing players. There's coaches and officials too. Did you notice how many female officials the XFL used? https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/2023/05/12/reggie-barlow-xfl-defenders/?outputType=comment&no_nav=true
  8. Isn't the entire concept of an extra point after scoring a gimmick? What other sport does that? The reasoning behind a 3pt XP is to make it harder to put a game away. In the NFL a 17 point lead is 3 scores. In the XFL 18 is still a 2-score game.
  9. I think they would. Same in the NFL or college on 2pt XPs.
  10. It's not easy to get the 3. If we can obsess over the draft and rookie mini-camps, I don't see why spring pro football is such a turn off.
  11. Turns out Arlington was a championship caliber team without a QB before week 7. I doubt he's recruiting anyone, but Dawson Knox and Jordan Ta'amu were college teammates. Nice of him to come to San Antonio you watch.
  12. That will never happen. Not because the NFL has a problem with these spring leagues. Quite the opposite. It's because any direct involvement with these leagues opens them up to further potential CTE liability. So the NFL will remain arms-length from the XFL and USFL, while still working with these leagues through official training, and using them as a laboratory for rules changes.
  13. Arlington is dominating so far. They traded for QB Perez in week 7 and boom.
  14. Some of these players will be invited to NFL camps. How is that any different than watching a college game? Besides these are 2 better teams and they have 11 weeks behind them.
  15. No ex Bills players but one ex head coach...Greg Williams is DC's DC I have to say I liked hearing the officials audio, especially on replays. I thought overall the XFL was very well officiated.
  16. DC vs Arlington. The Renegades were a controversial playoff team, sub .500, St. Louis with a better record got shut out. But they took out top seed Houston to get here. https://www.espn.com/xfl/story/_/id/37569074/xfl-2023-championship-preview-games-schedule-players-know-watch-picks
  17. That's way fewer than usual. I wonder if some of the tryout invites to rookie camp will have a better chance to stick?
