  1. unreal that nobody was killed. Lotto odds to escape that accident with their lives.
  2. I'd probably pick Forrest but I'm surprised no mention of Apollo 13 yet. I love that movie but actually think Ed Harris was the best actor in that film.
  3. So.... your son provided her, and her family, with a story that will last that girl's lifetime. That's truly 'the gift that keeps on giving.' I have four kids so I'm fairly immune to any story like this. I've experienced some variation of most. The good thing is that most people with a child will be the ones that understand the best. All you can do is what you did....clean that crap up and move on. Hope the rest of your weekend is a bit more uneventful.
  4. Pretty much no chance anyone is cleared to play football while on anticoagulants. Even NBA player Chris Bosh was denied clearance given use of anticoagulants. This pretty much sums it up. I'll echo that. Do you have the Beatles white album? I love Fletch.
  5. Seemed like a nice round number. I joined you at 100. Great cause as well based on what I read.
  6. I don't post much anymore...no time. However, I felt a comment was deserved here. Well said...and so very true.
  7. Twenty plus years of being on call tells me ......absolutely.
  8. Exactly. I was in last year of med school and remember the joy of being able to get 'local' articles via DandC....though I was hours away (that new fancy internet thing was cool). I found the twobillsdrive site and officially joined a few years later.
  9. As a parent of a child with significant disabilities, I have a little extra 'love' for people like him. As was noted above, his time with this child is not a photo op. He walks with walk with his sister. From afar, he seems like a wonderful human being. Nothing but respect and well wishes. It sounds as if his greatest achievements have been, and will always be, off the football field. Considering he's one of the athletes that surpasses the lottery odds and makes it to the professional level... that's no small compliment.
  10. First response in thread and absolutely hilarious. Well done.
  11. I've always said he was the greatest football player I've ever watched. So, suffice it to say, I'll take him at WR. He broke records like Gretzky....there are no contemporaries for those guys.
