  1. He threw two INT's against Northern Illinois, my recollection of his pre-draft assessments were that, and I paraphrase, he might be worth a look in a down year for QB crop. Hey, I really hope you are right about that but other than Russell Wilson a lot of those running QB's don't have a lot of sustained success in the NFL. Even Cam Newton has been up and down.
  2. You'll find them after we lose three straight to The Patriots, Seahawks and Bengals and stand at 5-5. I still think the team ends up 8-8 this year with wins over 49ers, Dolphins x2, Jaguars and Browns losses to Patriots, Seahawks,Bengals,Raiders Steelers and Jets. 8-8 will have lots of fire Rex People looking for scalp. Best case is they beat the Jets and Bengals and end up 10-6.
  3. IDK he lost his starting job at OSU in his senior year, He strikes me as a guy that will drive you crazy his entire career, some good games them some awful ones with bonehead decisions. I hope I am completely wrong but that is my intial impression
  4. Most of these guys are better QB than I think Tyrod will be based on his play so far.
  5. Doesn't look good that's for certain
  6. I think the best course of action might be to see what you can get out of him this year in Rex's new defense. If he has a strong year, sell high. I think he is a ticking time bomb.
  7. That is two QB's in 4 drafts (I'm not counting undrafted Jeff Tuel) BTW I'm personally not very high on Jones who lost the starting QB job in college. That's my point, it isn't going to work every time but it seems to have worked pretty nicely for the Packers, Cowboys and Seahawks. More than ever the QB is far and away the most important position. Keep looking at people until you strike gold.
  8. Old school I like that, I wonder how many folks get that reference.
  9. We can disagree, both scenarios are possible, only Gilmore knows for certain
  10. I was definitely a "draft Manziel fan. I watched him play in at least 6 games (I am an Crimson Tide fan) I thought he had great intangibles and would bring some excitement for to the Bills. I didn't think he would be as much of a head case as he turned into.I also wanted the Bills to draft a lot more QB's than they have. I believe that this approach of "waiting to see if he pans out..." approach the team has taken with Manuel and now Taylor is short-sighted. You need a plan B. To quote the late John Wooden "if you're not making mistakes you're not doing anything."
  11. As the late-great Johnny Cash once sang "Don't take your guns to Philly Nigel, leave your guns at home son, Don't take your guns to town"
  12. I like a little more meat on the bones too but good line
  13. He did look better passing over the middle but the check down stuff was a little frustrating
  14. Well said! Keep up the good work.
  15. This angle shows Gilmore stepping to the right to get out of the way well before contact is made even more clearly. If he is getting into proper tackling position the headbutt isn't an issue. I don't dislike Gilmore and I am not using him as a whipping boy but he needs to make that tackle or at least slow him down.
  16. I agree 100%, but sadly he made himself into the villian
  17. Why the sarcasm? Are you the only one entitled to an opinion? That's why we visit this site to express opinions and thoughts?
  18. Gilmore didn't have to take Blount head on, he could have gone for his legs instead of the pretend tackle he tried
  19. I'm with you, I like the red helmets
  20. At least no Spiro Dedes, and for that we can be thankful
  21. Do you blame them? The Bills are sadly an afterthought across most of the NFL
  22. I agree 100%, and the announcers never even recognized that point. In fact it would probably have worked out better for the Cardinals if Peterson had just knocked the ball away rather than intercept it at they started the drive inside the 20. It wasn't a well thrown ball though. Although the result was better than an incomplete pass I would like to have seen a better throw
  23. All true
  24. I agree that Losman was a mistake but I still think Donahoe wasn't given enough time to show what he could do. I think he is a top-notch football guy and the frugal Wilson wasn't happy with his free spending.
