  1. He seems to have done a good job with the WR's I hope the Bills retain him
  2. I can work with that! Oh I know its not easy, but the zone certainly doesn't work You are right on about hitting him, hard and often. In fact I would take a page out of the '70's Oakland Raiders playbook and hit him really hard even after he has thrown the ball. Be very aggressive and make him wince and whine. Sure it may cost you a couple of 15 yard penalties but I would do it early and give him something to think about and he clearly does. I'm not talking about intentionally hurting him but finish your tackle. Its funny that is something I thought Rex would coach his team to do like his father.
  3. You can't be a Bills fan, where is your bitterness?!!! This is the happy "why can't we all get along" song of a Patriot fan lol.
  4. I agree, not confidence inspiring at all
  5. I couldn't agree more, every time he has a bad game or loses its the same formula that you just wrote.
  6. I am have been a Johnny Football guy from the start but not even a month ago he was hanging out in clubs drunk and smoking cigarettes. He still doesn't get it,
  7. Watching Brady dismantle the Steelers (again) and hearing the announcers talking about how Brady loves to face a zone defense and how bad it was for the Steelers to continue to play zone against him my memory flashed back to this article from the Bills website: http://www.buffalobills.com/news/article-1/5-differences-to-expect-in-Sean-McDermotts-defense/410476f5-5ef0-4c2d-88c0-6c223b97d6c1 The article titled "5 differences to expect in Sean McDermott's defense" has this as the first point. "1 - Lots of zone In stark contrast to Buffalo’s previous man coverage scheme, McDermott’s scheme plays a good deal of zone coverage. Cover 3 along with Cover 2 and Cover 4 are among the more popular calls on the back end of his defense. “In Carolina they played a lot of zone under McDermott,” Kelso said. “When they went to the Super Bowl they were playing a ton of Cover 3 with basic zone defense and had linebackers that really understood leverage control and where to drop and whether they needed to be inside or outside of receivers. “McDermott’s defense is going to be more of a base type defense and guys will understand where they need to be and when they need to be there as opposed to being in man coverage. Rex played a lot of man, sometimes some two-man. They didn’t have any one thing that they settled on, but it was more of an aggressive man defense with combination coverages. “It’s more of a match zone. You’re not dropping to a spot on the field. You’re dropping to a spot in relation to where a receiver would be in your area of the field.”" I feel like I am watching one of those documentaries that dissect a disaster that happened and go through the time line of events that led up to it.
  8. Bills build a winner versus Brady retiring... which do you think is more likely or likely to happen first? I would bet my house on the latter.
  9. We are of the same mind my friend! As a life-long Mets fan I wanted the Cubs to lose more than anything. I don't have anything against the Falcons or Ryan I just don't want them to win a Super Bowl before we do. Exactly, misery loves company...
  10. Okay so the screamingly obvious choice here is the Patriots who would continue their reign of cheating terror over the Bills and rest of the NFL as well as force us all to hear from obnoxious spoiled (likely drunken) Patriot fans about how great the Patriots and Brady are. (I live about 30 minutes from Boston so I know ut worse than almost anyone). However, A Falcons win removes another team from the dwindling "teams that have never won the Super Bowl" list leaving us to be grouped with sad sacks like the Browns, Bengals, Lions ect. Either way the outcome is miserable and I will probably cheer for the Falcons (and of course career ending injuries to Brady)
  11. First time I've watched the Falcons this year but he sure looked like the real deal yesterday. One more hill to climb and I hope he does.
  12. I wouldn't complain about the Bills keeping Tyrod, as long as continue to look for a better long-term solution. To borrow the catch phrase of the late great Paul Harvey, here's the rest of the story...Bills were never going to win a Championship with Fitzpatrick so 7-9, 8-8 versus 6-10 who really cares? Schwartz may have had the Bills playing good to very good defense (great is a stretch) but he was a not a success as an head coach (29-51 .363 winning percentage) That is certainly history worth remembering.
  13. Tyrod isn't the worst QB in the league and I wouldn't be upset with the Bills starting him next year but I do want them to find Plan B, draft a QB. Taylor is okay but he isn't, and never ever will be, in the same category as either of those two QB's who lost yesterday. Big Ben actually had a very good game and the Steeler D shown up at all they would have been in that game.
  14. I'd say 20-50k, season ticket holder since 1996 (6 tickets for myself and family) and with travel expenses from NYC and now Massachusetts.... ugh.
  15. I don't think the number changes regardless of the QB/Coaching changes unless of course the starting QB is Romo or Rivers next year. I don't get the sense that fans are very excited about the new coach and while it seems everyone want the Bills to explore plan B for QB the fans don't seem to Rob Johnson hate him. To quote the 45th President I think we are mostly sad.
  16. Brady had nothing to do with this, he didn't destroy his cell phone because of text messages he had with the fan he always destroys his cell phone when he get a new one.
  17. Im in! Like you Im a Johnny Football fan. If he ever got himself right he would make Sundays fun again
  18. You might be right but i think he has the makings of a pretty good coach
  19. It was a joke Season ticket holder for 22 years...want to watch the football game while its being player duh
  20. I agree with you on both counts.
  21. Need more and bigger bathrooms at Rich Stadium
  22. Yeah I'd much rather be paying $4.50 a gallon for gas and home heating oil. That was terrible that he helped make America energy independent. Think of all the financial hardship his fracking caused for our poor brothers in the Persian Gulf. There most likely wouldn't be teams here to "disappoint" you and this "deserving" fan base if it weren't for the Pegulas. At worst case they made some bad personnel decisions in leadership roles but it would be very unfair to imply they weren't trying to win. I think they have been very generous to the people of the Western New York.
  23. Really good list; my only serious disagreement would be Rodgers/Brady, I would sadly put Brady #1, almost on a level of his own. If I were putting together a team for one season there is absolutely no question that I would take "the QB who sits to pee". The rest of the list is hard to argue with but from personal preference I would put Wilson #5 and Stafford 12 or lower. Agreed, matter of personal preference
  24. I think he quit because he couldn't work with Whaley; for that I don't blame him. I agree that Marrone probably held his leash pretty tightly but I its my suspicion that both them have matured and learned from what went wrong here. Going from HC to an offensive line coach can be pretty humbling.
