  1. Tough to debate logic like that
  2. That's great, I'm glad you have your rules about what names you call stadiums. I don't think this is an issue worth debating about since there isn't a right answer is subjective. Exactly! If you grew up a Mets fan you know the Mets play at Shea like Seaver will always be The Franchise.
  3. Wow I wish I were as cool and smart as you, coming up with conversation ending lines like that. Despite being "put in my place" I'll respond. To recap: I originally write that I get the sense that there is some tension brewing between the Bills and McCoy based on the subtle digs I when I read McDermott's statements about McCoy not attending the voluntary work out and McCoy's prior vague statements that seemed to indicate he was leaving. I didn't take sides with either the coach or the player, I don't know enough about what is really going at 1 BD to do that. Someone over reacted to my post as if it was INSANE to speculate on that. In reply I pointed out that McDermott seems to be a "no-nonsense" my way or the highway guy and McCoy has been pretty outspoken. It is certainly possible that they might not be seeing eye to eye. Again not blaming anyone just throwing out a suspicion or speculation which I hope is incorrect. Can we have conversations and express opinions without the drama and personal attacks?
  4. Agreed! Then they all bend over backwards trying to find ways to validate Kaepernick
  5. That's a little over the top don't you think? You find it impossible to even think that an obviously hard-nosed, no nonsense coach and a player with a history of speaking his mind and having public spats with a coach are not getting along? You're right that is crazy
  6. I hate to see the Raiders leave Oakland, it just doesn't seem "right" and those fans are among the best in football. That being said the article is full of half-truths and some outright lies. I've been to the Oakland Coliseum (2012) and it is truly the worst stadium I have ever seen and I have been to been to 34 in my lifetime (some of them have been replaced). I would say the idea of eminent domain for a football team is both idiotic and unconstitutional but since the appeals process would take it through the 6th Circuit Court, never say never I don't believe that for one second, the value of all the major sports leagues grows at a rate that far outpaces inflation. If they were really ready to "give the keys back" they could sell the team for a nice profit in a second.
  7. I was thinking the same thing, I am hoping (praying) he told them that this will be his final year and Little Bill is going with him. That would explain why they are holding on to Garoppolo (signing him to an extension now would raise attention)
  8. I'm not complaining about the gesture which is nice and all but I think the collective sentiment of Bills fans at this point is "just show me results on Sundays". We're all a little hung-over from the Rex excitement.
  9. New Era Field & First Energy Stadium, both factories of sadness. On a brighter note, I was at Shea (it will always be Shea to me) for opening day! LGM!
  10. I wasn't suggesting he call McCoy out more directly, I was saying that I think he did in fact call him out indirectly with his answer.
  11. My concern remains that Tyrod hasn't used the TE we already have who was wide open on a number of occasions. As far as being on the field at the same time I don't see many teams, including the Patriots using a lot of double TE formations in the wide open passing era, We also heard a lot about how Spiller and Jackson would be used creatively on the field at the same time. I'm not sold on using the first round pick to build depth,
  12. That was very cool, thanks!
  13. I said the same thing right after the Super Bowl when they talked about how the Falcons played right into their hands.
  14. Agree with all your points. I think getting him in the 4th or 5th round is reasonable.
  15. I agree with you on most points but I have two issues A) We have a pretty good tight end already who was open quite a bit. 2) Our likely starting QB for next year couldn't/wouldn't throw to him. If the Bills take Howard it will remind me of the decision to take Spiller #3 despite having Fred Jackson and Marshawn Lynch on the roster, Remember reading about how "although those guys are good, Spiller is a can't miss/all-time talent"
  16. You're right about the article but I get the sense that something may be simmering between the Bills and McCoy. McDermott could have cleared the air by saying that he spoke with McCoy and he had personal reasons for not attending ect. ect. ect but instead said ". "It is voluntary, though. That is what it is. I'm encouraged by the guys that are here, and that's really where my focus is at this time." Its like when your wife/girlfriend says,"do what you want".
  17. The Bills/Dolphins - Dolphins/Bills was pretty interesting
  18. I was glad when it happened and I haven't changed my mind.
  19. The line "He got the best years out of Tim Couch" made me spit out my coffee.
  20. Its not about how tough I had it or how easy "kids today do" its about understanding history and recognizing the game has changes and its not possible to compare across the eras. I never said Brady couldn't make it in the older game its just a fact that his numbers would be different because the rules changed. Yes I am learning not to debate with someone who supports his arguments by restating his premise.
  21. Great description! I think we look pretty good this year. Its the Islanders who are break hearts this year
  22. You'd never get Brady, Rodgers or Russell Wilson either
  23. You make some very good points and I was a little taken back when I read this quote from Terry Pegula about his vote regarding the Raider relocation " I know that the fans in Buffalo went through some hardship mentally wondering what was going to happen to their franchise. But you know, these things happen." These things happen??? Ouch. You are absolutely right when you wrote that the NFL wants a team in Toronto and no team will be allowed to move ther as long as the Bills are in Buffalo. All that being said, I still think the Pegulas want to keep the team here in Buffalo.
