  1. Can Josh wear a visor on his helmet next week or do players need special approval for that? I know he’s worn that tinted one at training camp a few years.
  2. I’m picking the Saints this week as home underdogs vs the Mac Jones 49ers. (+140)
  3. I suspect the bills are anticipating playing more 3 LB sets this week with Dorian Williams & having an extra LB active to help the special teams load (if needed).
  4. DT Logue and LB Jenkins are the 2 callups this week.
  5. If Strong turns into the next 6th round gem, does anyone think Hairston could be a fit at nickel? I wouldn’t mind seeing Taron shift into one of the Safety roles - maybe not mid-season, but next year or so.
  6. I’ll be watching to see if Codrington is on the injury report this week. He was equipped with a knee brace to finish the game and sometimes things like that will swell up and be worse in the days after the game. Returns really are back this year and he is a plus returner - hope he’s fully ready
  7. I’m not the 5 grand guy ha! But yes I was surprised by the Dolphins outcome. I should pre-face any of my future recommendations in the thread and advise people to pick the opposite - that’s probably the best way to get rich! 😂
  8. Too easy - Matt Prater!
  9. I’m a little surprised to see the Dolphins/Colts as basically a pick-em game. I know the Dolphins took a step back with their defense - specifically the CB’s, but is Daniel Jones the one that’s going to exploit that weakness? I think a healthy Tua & their offense is going to score in bunches. I don’t love betting on the dolphins but the line on this game seems like the oddball to me this week.
  10. Can any of our Madden playing friends show us the tackle rating comparison between Bass, Prater, and Ray Davis? There has got to be a way for us to figure out the right answer to this!
  11. If my math is correct the bills will need 6 inactives for tomorrow (I don’t think they filled Bass’ spot on the 53 -unless I missed it). WR Moore OL SVPG OL Lundt CB Tre White DB Hancock S Franklin the other one I could see may be Javon Solomon if they want another DB active.
  12. Great, now you have me thinking about the Chiefs as a wildcard team for the Bills first round matchup … what a disaster lol
  13. What’s the rule about allowing the defense a chance to substitute when the O subs? does that not apply on 4th down?
  14. Thanks for the warning - It always takes me a few games to get used to players that switch up their numbers. Hopefully he plays just as well in number 14!
  15. I noticed LB Ulofoshio was added to the Browns practice squad. I haven’t seen any of the other Bills cuts be added anywhere yet - I’m always interested to see where some of these guys end up and get their next opportunity.
  16. DT Brandon Pili from the Seahawks practice squad might be a good addition to the active roster - Get him in the building for a few weeks to compare with Logue and then go from there with whoever is best
  17. Sucks for Carter. I agree with others that the drop off to Logue/Phillips probably wont be noticeable. But does anyone want to pretend to know anything about other teams practice squads - we could swipe someone else for the active roster and keep Logue/Phillips on the practice squad as well. Who’s out there that would be interesting?
  18. I’d be fine with them taking a gamble on Caden Davis for the beginning of the year - his leg looked alive when he kicked in the preseason.
  19. Appreciate you posting these details and giving a place for this type of discussion. One question I had for anyone that may know is how a player like Zach Davidson would be viewed for practice squad. Would he need to be one of the 6 vets (drafted in 2021) or would he still be considered a first year player since he’s probably only be on an active roster like a handful of games?
  20. I just peeked around other teams practice squads to see if any of the bills cuts landed elsewhere - I don’t see any ex-bills anywhere yet which is pretty interesting. I’d thought there would be some interest in some of the younger O-lineman (Gouraige, Mike Edwards, even Jacob Bayer) that the bills didn’t retain - but maybe this just shows how thin the margins are for these fringe players to hold onto their NFL dreams. (I did notice the Jags put TE Quinton Morris on their practice squad. I thought he had a good chance to be TE2 with the Jags but obviously didn’t work out. Any injuries happen to the bills TE’s, I’d expect them to bring Q back).
  21. I thought the Bills Caden Davis had a pretty good leg - wouldn’t surprise me at all to see him latch onto a place like this and replace Sanders altogether
  22. Hopefully the terms of his new deal don’t allow the bengals to franchise tag him. Watch him have another big year and have to stay under Bengals control …
  23. Is it possible Sanders or Walker got injured coming out of the preseason game? And maybe they wanted to get this news out before the injury news comes? Something just doesn’t seem to be adding up with the timing of this.
