  2. Posted in another thread but here is Dane Brugler's draft for Buffalo where he has them taking Two WR. Buffalo Bills 1 (17). Brian Thomas Jr., WR, LSU 2 (60). Cole Bishop, S, Utah 4 (128). 3. Here is brugler's breakdown on Nelson Ceasar III 16. NELSON CEASER III | Houston 6026 | 254 lbs. | 5SR Missouri City, Texas (Ridge Point) 6/3/2001 (age 22.89) #9 BACKGROUND: Nelson Ceaser III, one of five children, was born in Spring, Texas (north Houston). Ceasar’s mother died when he was 9, and his father died when Ceasar was 12, so he moved in his with aunt and uncle and grew up in Missouri City. Ceaser played soccer and some basketball and track growing up, but his father (Nelson Jr.) and uncle (Michael) were both standout football players in high school, and he wanted to follow their path. His uncle played at Texas Southern in the early ‘90s (with Michael Strahan), and his father was recruited by Oklahoma. Ceaser started playing football at age 11, initially on the offensive line before moving to defensive end, which became his natural position. He attended Pro-Vision Academy (a Houston charter school) in middle school and played on varsity while still in ei ghth grade. For high school, Ceaser transferred to Ridge Point High, where he was a three-year varsity letterman pass rusher. He was named defensive newcomer of the year in the district as a sophomore with 55 tackle s, 14 tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks and two forced fumbles in 2016, helping Ridge Point to an 11-1 record. As a junior, Ceaser recorded 36 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, seven sacks, four forced fumbles and one interception, earning unanimous first team All-District honors. As a senior, he helped lead Ridge Point to a 10-2 mark and the program’s thirdstraight district title. Ceaser finished with 40 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, seven sacks and one forced fumble. His 21.5 career sacks set a school record. Ceaser also lettered in track with a personal best of 45 feet, 10 inches in the shot put. A three-star recruit, Ceaser was the No. 32 weakside defensive end in the 2019 recruiting class and the No. 59 recruit in Texas. Foll owing his breakout sophomore season, he received his first scholarship offer (Texas Tech) in January 2017. Over the next two years, Ceaser collected several Power 5 offers, including from Arizona, Arkansas, Iowa State, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma and TCU. He grew up an LSU fan and didn’t seriously consider other offers, because he thought the Tigers would eventually offer — which didn’t happen. Once he realized LSU wasn’t an option, Ceaser opted to stay close to home and committed to former Houston c oach Major Applewhite. Ceaser was the highest-ranked recruit in the Cougars’ 2019 class. Applewhite was fired two weeks after Ceasar signed and replaced by Dana Holgorsen. Ceaser accepted his invitation to the 2024 Senior Bowl. WEAKNESSES: Length is good enough on paper, but it doesn’t consistently show in his play … inconsistent snap anticipation (flagged for Offside vs. Rice and TCU) … struggles to unlock counters when facing powerful blockers who jar him off schedule … can be pinballed around and out of the play when stunting inside … a little tight when attempting to make quick direction changes … can be engulfed on the edges by physical road graders in the run game … hand strength is only average as a tackler, leaving him sliding off ball carriers when not squared up … doesn’t have functional experience dropping and covering zones in space.
  4. Here is Dane Brugler's 7 round mock....Bills Picks, Take it with a grain of salt as always. The only guy to ever really get close to being accurate was Rick Gosselin's day of the draft final mock because it was made up of what he was told from teams not him watching film. Also Dane Brugler gives me youth pastor vibes and freaks me out a little... 17. Buffalo Bills (from JAX)*: Brian Thomas Jr., WR, LSU (Projected trade: Bills trade picks Nos. 28, 133, 144 and a 2025 second-rounder to the Jaguars for No. 17.) The Bills need their draft picks to remodel the roster with young, low-priced depth, but general manager Brandon Beane is an aggressive drafter and has never shied away from moving up in the first round to get his guy. Thomas is an outstanding size/speed athlete with better route-running skill than given he’s credit for, and he’d give Josh Allen a new WR1 on offense. 60. Cole Bishop S Utah 128. Javon Baker WR UCF 160. Beaux Limmer G/C Arkansas 163. Nelson Ceasar III Edge Houston 200. Tyler Davis DT Clemson 204. Ethan Driskell OT Marshall 248. Buffalo Bills: Kimani Vidal, RB, Troy It would be a surprise if the Bills don’t address running back in some way on draft weekend — probably before this pick. But Vidal is excellent value this late in the draft and could be a capable backup behind James Cook. Buffalo Bills 1 (17). Brian Thomas Jr., WR, LSU 2 (60). Cole Bishop, S, Utah 4 (128). Javon Baker, WR, UCF 5 (160). Beaux Limmer, G/C, Arkansas 5 (163). Nelson Ceaser III, Edge, Houston 6 (200). Tyler Davis, DT, Clemson 6 (204). Ethan Driskell, OT, Marshall 7 (248). Kimani Vidal, RB, Troy
  5. Instead of spending draft capital. I think a solid plan would be to go to Michael Gallup and give him a 1 or 2 year deal, he won't cost that much. He is similar to Gabe Davis and can step right into his role. This guarantees they have a big sideline guy to play the x. Gallup if healthy all year could have a very good year with this team. Then draft the Best player available at 28 and then again at 60. One of these two picks will be a wr. Then they will have some capable young veteran wr's and a young developing player in the wr room to go along with two good tight ends, a couple of good backs and a good offensive line. and most importantly they go into next year with an already capable team, a bunch of new cap space and 4 good picks. Those picks next year can turn into 4 young cheap players who put the team over the top. I hate the idea of trading away next years picks and I absolutely can not understand people willing to trade 60 to move up an then have no 2nd or 3rd rounder this year.
  6. yea that is not a good trade. This team needs that 2nd round pick really bad. Dan Fetes had some ideas that make some sense today on buffalo plus but no team will go for it...He was trading 60 and next years 1st rounder to get another 1st rounder this year. so they would have 28 plus another first and no 2nd or 3rd. That seemingly will never happen and also trading away next years 1 is as crazy to me as not having 60 this year when they draft.
  7. Cody Schrader. For whatever it is worth here is what Dane Brugler has to say about him. I think the team needs a power guy who plays physical. SUMMARY: A two-year starter at Missouri, Schrader was the bell-cow back in offensive coordinator Kirby Moore’s RPO, zone-based run scheme. After four years at Division II Truman State, he walked on at Missouri and went from seventh on the depth chart when he arrived in 2022 to leading the SEC in rushing in 2023. (He also became the first player in SEC history to record 200-plus rushing yards and 100-plus receiving yards in a single game.) There are different ways for running backs to force missed tackles, and Schrader’s weapons of choice are determined play speed, jackhammer feet and R-rated violence at contact — he forces defenders to match his effort on every snap. He gets stronger as the game goes on, as evidenced by the fact that he posted better yards per carry (7.1) and more first-down carries (23) in the fourth quarter than any other quarter last season. Overall, Schrader doesn’t run with desired tempo or elusiveness, but he is an attitude runner who sets the tone with his physicality and contact balance. There is a place in the NFL for his competitive run style and make-it mentality.
  8. Absolutely no way in the world would this make sense. If they give up 60 in this draft they are nuts.
  9. I like Suzyn and I will miss them together in the booth every night.
  10. Suzyn is not a play by play broadcaster.
  11. I am so sad about John Sterling retiring today. Not a fan of Justin Shackil and the other fill ins and Yankees baseball on the radio will never feel right again.
  12. Elite WR are great. They win a lot of games in september and october. They have very little to do with winning championships. Giving away an entire drafts worth of important picks is total insanity. I 110% believe this team can win with 1 or 2 more good players at wr. They clearly need an X wr to play outside and someone who can make contested catches on the sideline would be great. Not important enough to burn two drafts on however. The same people dying to give away this year and next years draft for one of these top 10 wr will be the same ones complaining about the defense and depth of the overall team by the middle of the season. Just let the draft come to you and take BPA. There are plenty of wr in this draft.
  13. I can not believe what people are willing to trade to move up for a wr. Its total insanity to me. They absolutely can not move this years 2 in any scenario that doesn't give them a 2 back and eating Diggs cap number and being in this situation I think dictates they keep that 2 next year from the trade. They need all the young affordable players they can get. I am hoping a EDGE rusher falls to them/a wr they like falls to them or they move back and get a 3 for this year or another high 4 and 5 for this year.
  14. I love the idea of staying put or moving back a little and grabbing a third or early 4. I think it would be awesome if they stayed put and had some good luck like Jared Verse falling into their lap.
  15. I would be a fan of the Bills doing something like Trading 28 & 160 to Washington for 36 and 67 taking Coleman at 36 and Balen Trice at 67 or Chop robinson if he falls at 36 and Troy Franklin at 67 or maybe Coleman at 36 and Javon Bullard at 67. Not sure why washington would want to do this however and Buffalo would lose that 5th year on the contract
  16. Just downloaded dane brugler's beast draft guide. Going to actually start paying attention to the draft now. It seems wr are deep and plenty and with next years draft supposedly having more talent overall available it seems its the suckers move to trade up this year for a wr. I really hope they do not, I would in fact prefer they stay put at 28 and take the BPA and then move back from 60 to acquire a third. Then maybe package those 4ths and 5ths to get up again if they need to. Coming away with 4 contributing players seems like a necessary evil given the roster at the moment.
  17. I hope he works smart and gave his ailing body a much needed rest. This fan bases obsession with trying to tear down Josh Allen is exhausting.
  18. they are going to give him a record setting contract, cee dee lamb also and Dak prescott. I can't imagine lamb or parsons going anywhere. The cowboys whole identity is drafting in the first round and losing in the first round.
  19. He is now a second rounder. The Second round is where Felons and injured guys get drafted.
  20. Parcells wouldn't even address T.O. by his name in 06 after Jerry Jones signed him. The very first thing Owens did after signing was tell the media he is not available for Mini camp or offseason work in may because of prior commitments. Parcells must have been ready to quit on the spot but he stuck it out until the end of the year. Owens nearly got into a fight with assistant coaches and he overdosed on pain medication accidentally early in the year after getting injured in a game and Parcells would still not call him by his name! if the owners or head coaches let them get away with it these guys always keep going to see how far they can take it. I am so glad this is over in buffalo.
  21. those are numbers coming from an agent though, we have no idea what the contract is at this moment.
  22. I agree. All the backward hat youtube guys and the what do you think of this mock...(aka look at me I need attention) twitter guys would give up everything for a wr. I disagree completely with that. IF randy moss was there and u knew u were getting randy moss I could understand...otherwise you are hurting the organization spending all your draft capital on one player. Staying put or moving up a little or back a little is always the best move. More than 10 spots seems to expensive to me and doesn't make much sense given the state of the defense.
  23. I cant imagine that collins deal is much. I would imagine at best he is on the fringe of the end of the roster. If any undrafted guys or late round guys come along and outplay him in camp he will be toast. He has a history of being lazy and is always battling an injury. I believe he has some issues with his hip after his car accident a few years ago in Dallas.. I think that robbed him of a little of his abilities.
  24. I hope they take 160 and 133 and get into the third round somewhere this year. I also really hope they do not move this years 2nd under any scenario.
