why would two guys clinging to their jobs by the thinnest of margins trade the best player on their roster? The last thing they need is to watch another one of their players go be successful somewhere else after last seasons hard knocks disaster.

I think the Defensive line is going to get the treatment the offensive line got a few years ago. one or two proven veterans, mid level guys...a connor mcgovern for the Dline if you will and then they will draft 2 or 3 Dlineman in the draft however it plays out that fits the best at their spots, end or tackle. I think the big money and maybe the first round pick is going to the secondary. They have 6 corners currently and I imagine they move elam, so maybe draft and sign a corner. I personally think they need a free safety and let rapp and bishop fight out the ss spot. Mid level safety like Andre Cisco on a short team friendly deal. We will know what they think the positions that they feel they will have a shot at in the first and second round I think by who they show interest in starting this week in free agency. I for one won't be shocked to see them sign a corner and a Defensive lineman first.

DK Metcalf deal never materialized for Packers I'm told the Packers never made an offer to the Seahawks for DK Metcalf, contrary to multiple reports. Brian Gutekunst and John Schneider are good friends from their time together in Green Bay, but a deal between the two for Metcalf was never a realistic possibility.

How does cincy now pay higgins and chase after that metcalf deal? it seems like they will have a serious issue here.

most importantly, he is a great locker room guy and is all about the team. He is a perfect fit. I hope they work out a 3 yer deal with him. He can maximize the targets he gets with his speed and wont complain when he is not the main guy, which he wont be. Meanwhile, when the steelers lose 17-9 at baltimore in december I am not so sure it will be a nice locker room to be in.

Of course. i am just asking who would give up a premium pick knowing you have to turn around and sign a deal with him that is north of 32 million. I did see a packers beat writer speculate that a 2025 third rounder and young player could get it done. the bills could offer a 2026 third rounder.

I just read that Hendrickson turned down an offer from Cincy that was between 30 and 32 million. Who is going to trade for him when he wants that kind of money? What kind of draft pick could they even ask for in this situation?

There are plenty of costs in the south that level out the income tax. cost of insurance and property taxes for instance are absurd in the south and will only be rising in the future.

Again. This is what happened in the Zeke thing. His gf was pissed he dumped her and they had some big argument in his apartment. What happens when you give up premium picks or a pick and give him 30+ a year and then he gets 3 catches for 25 yards. do you think he is just going to be cool with not getting a ton of balls? I don’t. The bills need an outside wr or two but they need to be on board with the offense and the role. He doesn’t strike me as the guy who will stay on the team first bus if the team struggles for a bit. at this point there is no reason to give up draft picks for players. Garret was the exception.

So it’s only a two for Metcalf now? wait a few weeks and it will be less. I don’t want any part of his salary however.
