I understand. I just feel like after they cut him they are going to be looking for a guy just like him on a 1 year cheap deal. Kind of like what they have in him already. Maybe they cut him and use the money to bring back smoot and then draft two young dt's. I won't be shocked if they cut him for sure.
-
I wouldn't cut daquan until after the draft honestly. I mean I wouldn't do it at all and I am of the belief they will draft two DT's but i can't imagine they do it before the draft. on the other hand, waiting until after the draft to cut him is a really lousy way to treat people. That is not really in the Bills DNA to behave like that. So I guess if they want to cut jones it will be early in the league year so he can find another job and they can use that money. I am hoping they do not though. A DT Group of Ed, Jones, Carter and two rookies one who might be a first rounder or 2nd rounder could be a really good group. if you cut jones then you have to replace him along with bringing in new guys who are hopefully difference makers, jones is a good player to have as part of the rotation.

Ok. Have a nice day.

Are you saying the Bills are not a talented good team? I simply do not understand the mindset of most fans. Which moments was he sulking? Josh just missed him on what would have been a big play td vs denver, he ran a great route and was wide open. Then he drew a huge PI flag. When was he sulking and not playing hard? If he gets hit in stride here and fights off the corner and scores its a great play. kind of similar to plays he had started to make earlier in the season before the injury. https://www.veed.io/view/5cba3bf0-d127-46d8-b14c-4d56d2346ea6?panel=share

NFL Off-Season Free Agency/Trade Positional Breakdown WR
MikePJ76 replied to billsfan89's topic in The Stadium Wall
Mike Catalana said something interesting on the podcast with sal and matt today, He thinks Howie roseman is going to search around and see what the market is for AJ Brown. -
Yea the bills offense was terrible. Maybe next year it will be good.

Whole family are scumbags. Just like Andy Reid’s family. their time is almost up, the worm officially turned on them in the court of public opinion this postseason and they will be hated like they have never been going forward. i am so looking forward to mahomes the classless poor sport losing in the future, on and off the field. He and his family deserve all of it.

Coleman was a 21 year old rookie who had a wrist injury which derailed his season. you make these posts as if Coleman’s ceiling is 550 and 4 touchdowns. completely foolish opinion. Ladd being worth Coleman, shakir and a 1 is one of the most ridiculous things I have read here. I’m surprised you didn’t say sky Moore is better than Coleman and shakir.

is this a threat or something? You said they drafted Carter because he was good in the community. That is false. He was drafted because he is a scheme fit and can play the 3 inside and the 5 outside like he did in college. He also is an excellent person who was a 3 time team captain at a school which requires more than fogging a mirror to get into. He is going to be a good player here going forward, on the field and in the locker room. I mean he may never be an all pro like Troy Franklin but I am pretty confident he is going to be good here.

what? the commanders had 6 picks in the top 100. They had the number 2 pick in the draft. your comparing apples and oranges. Teams have always had the 3 year rule on drafts going back to Tom Landry who essentially was the one to make that a thing. if the bills had the 2nd pick in the draft and took nabers or somebody you would be raving about the bills draft because anytime a big time qb/wr/pass rusher is taken in the top 10 and plays well everyone raves about the draft even if the rest of the guys were just good players not great ones.
-
You said the point was there is only 1 DT on the roster. There are 3. Carter had a serious wrist injury, had surgery and returned and tried to play through it.
-
whoever you were listening to you should stop listening to. The Bills have 3 DT's on the roster for 2025 at the moment not one. Good Grief.

so cooper didn't slip then? seems convenient to leave that out.

Free Agents we like for the 2025 Bills?
MikePJ76 replied to Desert Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
They would be sacrificing the premium picks for essentially 2 drafts back to back, the cap implications would cause them to lose at least 3 maybe 4 key players. This would also mean there is zero chance of keeping Groot. You think this is a good way to operate an organization? -
What? Damn our fans hate Josh Allen. Amari Cooper slipped on the second down play. Had he not slipped it was a monster play, because he slipped and had to get going again Karlaftis was able to catch him. There was nothing ahead of Cooper but grass. Perfect play call, perfect execution in the blocking except Cooper slipped and lost his momentum. Our guys outcoached Spags on this play and it would have been the equivalent of the Allen game winning play in Buffalo in november vs the chiefs. if Cooper doesn't slip and gets going the Bills are playing the eagles.

Free Agents we like for the 2025 Bills?

How would the team handle the salaries of Metcalf and Garrett? They would have literally no draft picks in the top 5 rounds left this year and probably would be without a few for next year. This would also cost the team players next offseason. So a bunch of guys like cook/shakir/bernard and benford might have to leave because there is no money left. Then you couple that with having no draft picks to replace those players. exactly how is this a good way to run an organization? -

they are absolutely not trading Kincaid. Slight overpay? He will count 32 million this year on the cap, how are you making room for that contract. He is a free agent next year, are you trading away and 2 and a 4 and then cutting other players to make room for him this year to have him walk next year. that would mean they traded a 2, 3, and 4 from the 25 draft for two wr who won't be on the team in 2026. this would be an epic mishandling of the cap and the roster and would set the team in a bad direction. The only way a guy like Metcalf would work in buffalo is if they traded him to buffalo for like a 4 this year and a 3 and 4 next year and buffalo gives him an extension and his cap numbers are small over the first three years and you live with huge dead cap hits when he is 31 and on. Mortgaging the future by giving away two more picks in this years draft and then letting multiple players walk because you can't sign them because you paid a wr in a trade again is a bad way to do business. They will never admit it but I bet they are pretty bummed they don't have that 3rd round pick in april after what they got out of amari cooper. Couple that with the Diggs drama and I bet it would take a minor miracle for the Bills to trade high picks and give huge money to a wr again. I imagine the draft is the way forward at the position. -

He is a great player. Giving up a 2 and a 4 in a year you are rebuilding your defense and then being on the hook 32 million for that player is truly insane. If they made some deal that involved Seattle getting that number lower then the latter of our 2's would be ok. Before any trade would be made he would need a new contract. I just don't think they are going to sign up for DK metcalf at 32 million a year for like 5 years. What would it say to the other soon to be free agents on the team if they gave DK Metcalk 32 million a year? He will have to get traded to someone with a lot of cap space. -
Will Josh Host SNL In The Near Future?
MikePJ76 replied to ChevyVanMiller's topic in The Stadium Wall
man I hope not. I really hope he has more integrity than that. Selling crappy products and being the spokesperson of soul less terrible corporations is just the worst. Hopefully he remains one of the good guys and wins a few championships and just continues to do charitable events and functions. Let someone else sell all these terrible products. -

Yes. This is from a list of guys who might get cut for cap reasons. No way you trade for a guy like that. There are a few on the list though who fit the bill for buffalo no pun intended. Vets looking for prove it deals or older vets maybe looking to win. -

This is kind of interesting. Green Bay Packers: Jaire Alexander, CB Alexander has played in only seven games each of the last two regular seasons because of four separate injuries. There may be a disconnect off the field that hasn’t become public, too, despite general manager Brian Gutekunst saying otherwise. Cutting or trading the two-time second-team All-Pro before June 1 would free up about $6.8 million in cap space. Alexander has the third-highest cap number on the team for 2025 behind quarterback Jordan Love and defensive end Rashan Gary. That may not be worth it for how little he’s been available and whatever else might be going on with the 28-year-old. — Matt Schneidman this too. Washington Commanders: Jonathan Allen, DT One season remains on Allen’s four-year, $72 million extension. The terms included a $22.47 million salary-cap hit but only a $6 million dead-cap charge. Washington has significant cap room regardless, but it also has DT Daron Payne counting north of $20 million and an Allen replacement in 2024 second-rounder Johnny Newton on the roster. Allen’s streak of healthy seasons ended with a pectoral tear, though he surprisingly returned before the playoff run. His power and pass rushing would be missed. However, his sack totals have declined annually since recording nine in 2021, and he is entering his age 30-season. — Ben Standig -
The football trifecta and where do the Bills stand?

Since you have Michael Irving on your list I think you should add Jason Whitten. No what I am saying.... We all need a laugh right. -

Im not a fan of cooper's honestly but to be fair he just slipped. If he hadn't he might still be running like forrest gump. instead we all ended up shrimp boat captains. -
Let's be honest, Josh probably has 5 good seasons left

trading all your picks away is the fastest way to become a bad organization
