  1. Dane Brugler had a senior bowl report mentioning some guys that could be had in the 2nd round late first that I imagine will be on the Bills radar. Edge rusher: Mike Green, Marshall Anyone who follows my work knows how glowing my thoughts are on Green as a prospect. But — no bias here — he had the most flashes of a very flashy edge group in Mobile. That bull rush on Conerly got the most attention, but Green consistently made plays with bend, burst and violence. I chuckle whenever I see someone caught up on Green’s size instead of focusing on the ways he wins. He is an easy first-round grade. The question is: How high will he go? My three highest-ranked edge rushers in Mobile — Green, Texas A&M’s Shemar Stewart and Boston College’s Donovan Ezeiruaku — all performed well. UCLA’s Femi Oladejo also deserves mention for looking, and then playing, the part. He is a stock-up prospect. Defensive tackle: Darius Alexander, Toledo This year’s defensive line class is loaded, and it includes several likely early-rounders who were in Mobile: Ole Miss’ Walter Nolen, Kentucky’s Deone Walker and South Carolina’s T.J. Sanders. But it was Alexander who had the most consistently impressive week. It didn’t matter whether he lined up on the edge, over the B-gap or as a nose, he won with fluid body control and strong hands, using a club-rip on one rep and then a firm bull rush the next play. Defensive linemen that are 6-3 5/8, 304 with 33-inch arms and this type of talent rarely fall out of the top 100 — and I’ll bet Alexander doesn’t, either. Cornerback: Quincy Riley, Louisville One-on-one drills are such a tough ask for cornerbacks — there’s no pass rush, no hook or post defender; there’s only green grass for the receiver. Yet, I was consistently impressed with this cornerback group in Mobile, especially Riley. The Louisville product consistently stayed in phase with receivers and did a great job turning his head or reading the eyes of the receiver to make plays on the ball. Another aspect of Riley’s week that was impressive was the way he coached up the other corners. When a player such as Darien Porter returned to the huddle, Riley pointed out different leverages and route tells to help him on his next rep. Riley’s combination of experience and quick-reaction skills will serve him well in the NFL. Others who impressed: Western Kentucky’s Upton Stout, who’s small (5-8 1/4, 178) but stayed attached to receivers all week and made it difficult to complete passes; Florida State’s Azareye’h Thomas, who was already in the top-50 mix but made a case for the first round; UCF’s Mac McWilliams, a late addition to the Senior Bowl roster who left no doubt he belonged because of the way he covered during drills.
  2. Carter is a 3 tech like Oliver and is olivers backup and hopefully he gets to the point where he can play next to Ed in pass rushing situations. He has nothing to do with replacing Jones or playing the 1 tech spot. Taylor Rapp has missed both chiefs playoff games and missed the steelers playoff game last year too. If I ran the bills I would be looking to upgrade the position this offseason and move Rapp back to the third guy, the dime defense guy ish. Bishop will take hamlins spot. They need to find a Corner, a starting safety for Rapp's spot and two defensive lineman this offseason.j Garrett is a nice dream scenario but it's not going to happen. This is a draft filled with good defensive players. They need to nail this draft and rebuild the defense with more talent, affordable young talent. This would allow them to push the cap a little at wr where they should just sign a vet who can play day one. For me, I'm signing Ty Johnson, Mack Hollins, Gilliam back to the team on day one. Then I am signing Darius Slayton. The draft will be about building a new defense, hopefully with more talent and speed. If a WR who is an x that can make a difference falls to them in the first or second round that is fine but the premium picks need to be used on defense. A young drafted defense that is all signed for a few years allows you in the next two years to resign or extend the talent we have on offense, Cook, torrence, mcgovern etc.
  3. Important to note Coleman had a serious wrist injury and Kincaid played the last 8 weeks plus playoffs on a torn pcl.
  4. Hello Darius Slayton. He is a perfect fit. I hoped all summer they would trade for him. I hoped during the season they would trade for him. Then they traded for Cooper. Slayton is explosive, 6"1 199 lbs, great locker room guy and desperate to be on a winner. He won't break the bank like Higgins. He is perfect for Buffalo.
  5. No thanks on Cooper. If they resign him they better be resigning him in line with his production level. They should find a more dynamic player outside to go with what they have and I am hoping they resign hollins. I hope they do it in free agency. Personally, and I banged this drum all summer and september, I would kick the tires on Darius Slayton. He is an explosive outside WR, A great teammate and locker room guy and he is desperate to be on a winnner. He could bring the tools this team needs to make some more downfield plays in these big games they are missing. He should not break the bank like Higgins. They are similar in size, Higgins is a little taller. Slayton can be more explosive imo. So that's my free agent wr guy. Darius Slayton. Sign him for 3 or 4 years and backload all the money to the final two years etc. Then go all in on defense.
  6. Going to go buy a couple of new 4k movies and spend the day with them sunday or just play the guitar all day. I refuse to watch Andy Reid. I hate him and absolutely am not interested in watching them to be the first team to 3 peat. This is just awful.
  7. absolutely no way you trade for that contract. He is a guy you wait to get cut and then give him a reasonable 2 year deal.
  8. They should give him a barrel and push him out in the falls. or you know whatever way they feel is appropriate to just make him go away.
  9. Cooper Kupp may get cut. He is not perfect but he would probably produce a lot more than amari cooper did. he gets hurt a lot though. i agree with you though. Go plug in a vet wr and resign hollins. Then build a better defense through the draft.
  10. Great Job GunnerBill. Count me in on all the defensive lineman we can get. Dane Brugler had Kenneth Grant going 32 to KC in his first mock. If He fell to Buffalo they would surely take him right? Also my friends son is on the Oregon staff. I will ask her to ask him about derrick harmon and see what feedback I get.
  11. these threads are all filled with the same people being negative. Amazing reading this stuff.
  12. This was Year 1 of a new run. New Coordinators, new philosophy on offense and a more laid back head coach. A great draft and a few moves in free agency and this team will be right back in the playoffs if health allows next year. The most important parts of the team are in their prime.
  13. he has two rings and is going to the hall of fame because Steve Spagnuolo had 4 fantastic pass rushers and they beat. Jeff Garcia, Tony Romo, Brett Favre on the road and then Tom Brady Then in 2011 Perry Fewell found a way to do the same thing with a little less on defense but he got similar results in beating Matt Ryan, Aaron Rodgers, Alex Smith and Tom Brady. Manning was great against GB in both games but make no mistake he is going to the Hall of Fame because of those pass rushers.
  14. the nitpicking over this one play is maddening. All these analysts and former players no exactly what they are implying by harping on this one play. Kincaid catches it you never hear a thing from these people about the protection. It would just be a miraculous throw and catch that set up the Bills to win.
  15. Sir you missed a fantastic yankee season. Truly enjoyable. John Sterling came back and called the playoffs and he was amazing. They have built an excellent team for this year also. Best pitching staff they have had since the late 90's imo. Aaron Judge and Josh Allen are one in the same. Great people, great players who are worth rooting for. I hope you can find your way back to yankees baseball this summer.
  16. it was obvious he never really recovered and was gutting it out. still disagree with all the people who are down on him but I wish he would have caught that ball. Having a deep ball in the 4th quarter two years in a row dropped vs the chiefs in the playoffs is just a kick in the nuts. Hope he is great next year.
  17. Trolls for sure but there are a lot of people I am noticing we have not seen posting in a while and they are the ones in every thread saying Allen isn't good enough. Its pretty obvious they believe it. I just want to know how to block posters so I can be here in peace.
  18. They didn't do anything conservative yesterday. What is he talking about? They went on 4th down repeatedly, they blitzed, they played man to man, They were aggressive before the half and Allen made the best throw of the game to hollins for a TD. What is cowherd talking about? Sounds like his usual generic nonsense that he says.
  19. Can someone tell me how to block people?
  20. I can't believe people are spending all this time nitpicking that final play. then the results are all josh choked and was fooled. Amazing. Kincaid catches the ball its an all time play. Now all of a sudden josh is a choker.
  21. I have complete confidence in the front office. They have put together an excellent offense and only cooper and hollins wont be back. I imagine Johnson resigns here again and fingers crossed hollins does too. I wonder if Beane will try to settle the other wr spot with a vet . If Cooper Kupp gets cut I imagine the bills will be interested in him. anyway, this offseason is all about defense for me. If you can score 29 in kc against the chiefs defense in the championship game and you lose then the issues are all defense.
  22. this is how the whole offseason is going to be isn't it? these opinions are about as bad as it gets. Some fun total td stats. what a joke. Wish I knew how to block people on here.
  23. Amazing. he was playing in a 7 on 7 drill for 90% of the game at home. Allen was on the road against the best blitzing team in the league. Allen was under pressure from the first snap of the game until the last and he stood in there and made great throws all night. Mahomes missed some throws and fumbled. Anytime he was under any pressure which was very little he looked pretty different and not cool as a cucumber.
  24. I am glad. Screw Him. I dont want anyone but Allen.
  25. Benford and Rapp. Two years in a row rapp and a starting corner were out vs KC in the playoffs. What is it now 4 straight years our number 1 corner was out in the playoffs? That is just bad luck. BTW I really hope benford is ok today.
