Ha! That niners team couldn’t run the ball that’s how the giants beat them. If I remember correctly they had some issues in the secondary. i think Buffalo would have killed them. The wild card would have been the fact that Steve young would have started and his ability to scramble. I think buffalos front 7 would have forced them into tough 3rd downs all game and they would not have been able to keep up with the bills offense. oh well.

The national media narrative since the Bills won
MikePJ76 replied to ChronicAndKnuckles's topic in The Stadium Wall
I was watching pti on youtube last night and Michael Wilbon said he has been rooting for the ravens for reasons he cant get into.......Isn't he a bears fan? what does that statement mean? also just to nitpick, Jackson was not perfect on the final drive. He started the drive by missing a wide open Isiah likely. If he hit him they score sooner and the bills can not just take a knee. Why that gets overlooked I don't understand. -
yes that was my point. He had nothing to do with the game. Montana got hammered by leonard marshall, broke a finger and injured his sternum and then a few plays later Erik Howard knocked the ball out of Roger Craig's hands and LT Recovered. it was 34 years ago today actually. Had craig not fumbled the niners win and the bill probably beat the niners by 7+. But that is the way it goes.

the morning show is talking about the giants niners 1990 nfc championship game. They just said it was a battle of backups because montana was knocked out. I imagine neither was alive at the time but thats enough for me today.

Seems like Glenn to the jets and Saleh to Jax. that leaves the saints and the raiders. I'm hoping McCarthy is a serious candidate in New Orleans. Not sure he is. I think Joe Brady is smart enough to not take the saints or raiders jobs. Wait until next year and see what’s available.

Part 2- Another disaster by McDs defense in the playoffs
MikePJ76 replied to RoscoeParrish's topic in The Stadium Wall
This week is a very different battle. the chiefs like the bills do not give the ball up. I believe the chiefs have not committed a turnover in 8 straight games and the bills have had a record 12 games this year where they did not commit a turnover. -
Josh wanted to lateral on that 3rd and goal
MikePJ76 replied to stevestojan's topic in The Stadium Wall
I wanted to Marry Tiffany Thiessen (still Do) but much like josh and the lateral I didn't. -
I was wrong about Lou Anarumo. I thought he would replace Aaron Glenn in detroit but he is replacing Gus Bradley in Indy.

John Harbaugh Presser After the Loss - I always respected him

Him and matt hassleback should probably keep this to themselves. -
Heard Bryan Broaddus on the radio here in DFW a few minutes ago talking about how saleh and shad kahn the jags owner have a good connection because of their shared faith. he went on about saleh not drinking alcohol and being a very serious person. Also mentioned saleh feels he didn't get to do it his way in ny and thinks he can in jax. I hope this is true because if that job goes brady probably isnt getting or doesn't want the saints job.

AFC Championship Game Week Thread - Bills at Chiefs
MikePJ76 replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
Seems like Jerry Jones is preparing to swoop in and steal all the attention this week with the hiring of Brian Schottenheimer. Every show and talking head will stop whatever they are doing and spend all day on that dumpster fire in Arlington. -
what is going on this morning? Did the WGR callers finally get america online and find tbd or something. Those damn AOL and Prodigy CD's are still causing problems.

Sounds like Brian Schottenheimer is the leader in the club house. -
Dalton Kincaid- why so underwhelming this season?
MikePJ76 replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall
I hope the offense functions as a high performing unit. They are built around the running game. Kincaid and Coleman are a part of the running game. the game plan was clearly not about attacking the ravens through the air. Coleman drew a really important penalty that set up a td. if all that is important to you in football is wr’s and tight end stats then you will never be happy. Winning in the playoffs in the cold is about being physical and being smart. and for the record no I am not worried about two young players and separation. -
Dalton Kincaid- why so underwhelming this season?
MikePJ76 replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall
I will never understand the mindset of most fans. the constant complaining about Kincaid and Coleman is really absurd to me. -
Not passing judgement but the people who call into the station sound like mental patients who got a hold of a phone and immediately called in. i get the station is about fan involvement but the callers are so bad. the shows are fine I guess. I enjoy Sal and one bills live. but damn the callers, the only thing worse than their sports opinions is their insistence on telling everyone about their feelings on todays other events. As if anyone listening didn’t know that they are. I don’t understand why the morning show does not have big guests on. Morning shows around the country get the best guests, sports or non sports related. WGR does not.

The bills were at home, they more than likely barring some huge mistake would not have been inside their own 5 and they had all their guys on offense. so no there are none. Starting at your own 30 at home with all your guys is vastly different.

Joe Brady, Josh Allen, and the playcalling
MikePJ76 replied to Low Positive's topic in The Stadium Wall
I noted during the week that something in the Baltimore scheme gave buffalos passing offense a real hard time this year. That second Miami game and both Baltimore games. even early in the titans game the bills offense had issues. That is another team running the ravens ish scheme. -

You could also credit the ravens for playing good defense.- 110 replies

They had the ball inside their own 5 without shakir. It was a tough ask against a very good defense. that Houston game has no parallels to yesterday.

My opinions on cooper are well known. i am shocked they have not run slants and skinny posts more often with him. He is perfect for those and crossers. but I honestly don’t care if he never catches a ball here again as long as the bills win. He won’t be back and he was really expensive costing a top 100 pick but if they win I don’t care.

If you did a poll before the game every single one of us would have been excited that Allen would have had the ball in a tie game with 1:33 left. but for the first time maybe ever the other team made a critical mistake. that Andrews drop was like if frank wycheck air mailed a ball two rows deep into the stands instead of a completed forward pass to Kevin Dyson.
