New stadium to have real grass - per BB last night
MikePJ76 replied to Desert Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
after driving most of the NYS thruway this summer and seeing the signs all over western and central ny it seems grass is legal.....so the bills are just giving the people what they want. You don't want that! Hank sold lies!! St. Augustine gets a fungus/disease everytime it rains more than once a week. I used to love this grass and now I hate it! -

I just do not think that is happening. If anything they don't believe shavers/hamler/shenualt can get open vs nfl db's i would guess. or They are going to cut samuel or send him to IR.

I remember in the 90’s star players used to leave at halftime of preseason games. arrogant Troy Aikman used to do this all the time. now we have all 22 game film and can analyze everything along with the backwards hat YouTube scouts and endless sports radio guys with their beards. there was a time when I would never even consider watching a pre season game.

One Thing No One Is Talking About Regarding Last Night's Game
MikePJ76 replied to MPL's topic in The Stadium Wall
their season is probably going to come down to what happens with the four games vs Boston this weekend and then ultimately how well they play against the orioles. Baltimore might decide the east. NY has 7 left with Boston and 7 left with Baltimore. They also have 7 left with the white sox and 3 vs washington. If they can get 3 of 4 vs Boston anything is possible for this season. -
One Thing No One Is Talking About Regarding Last Night's Game

Hey leave baseball out of this. Plenty of people are watching it and the next 35 days in the run to the end of the season is going to be awesome. There are as many or more great young players in mlb than the nfl. There was only one baseball game on last night and it too was pretty great with the mariners and mets playing in williamsport. if you are not watching mlb you are missing out. -
Thats not bishop getting beat in the second clip. Bishop is on odunze over the middle. Erik Turner just pointed out that because the bills didn't game plan they just let bishop take OZ the wr there in the TD play, he said in a real game the bills would not let him take oz there and would end up taking kmet.

how could he take adavantage of a situation where the ball isn't thrown to him or is thrown over his head....or as in the one play was tipped and knocked down?
-
ok I have to get back to work. I will watch the second half and add some plays later. I will say this after watching the all 22, Mike White was Terrible. The interior of the oline struggled. Strong and Hancock made some mental mistakes it appears that led to blown coverages. Strong is a poor tackler and looks uncomfortable chasing the ball carrier in open space. Hoecht looks like he is going to have some issues playing the run based on this first half, which means nothing. Dorian williams was all over and looked to be playing with the most energy of anyone on the team. Moore was open repeatedly and did not get a catchable ball or got no ball. He is a lock for the roster.
-
Safeties appear to make a mistake here, seems like Hancock but I am not qualified to say. Gore is wide open and White doesn't throw it to him and takes the sack. Hancock with another excellent tackle inside the five Moore open yet again and the ball is air mailed.

I have been scattering these in various threads. I am just going to make a thread for them and add as I go. Here is the bishop play where he (They) gave up the Touchdown Bishop covering Odunze in the slot Moore getting open on a crosser on 3rd down but ball goes to Latu. Moore getting open again on an arrow route but the ball is tipped. Hancock seeing the run and making the tackle for a loss Hancock making a play on the back in the crowd inside the 5 Dwayne Carter, Dorian Wiliams and Hoecht blowing up a screen (i forgot to remove the audio here, was listening to sal) Strong and Hancock appear to communicate before the play but then one of them makes a mistake here and doesn't pick up the underneath crossing route. Coach Addae is immediately yelling at one of them.

Good Night / Bad Night - Pre-season Game 2

Hancock again with a nice play to stay clean and slow down the back. -
Good Night / Bad Night - Pre-season Game 2

Hancock making a nice play here sniffing out the run and filling the lane and making the tackle. -
I think he is a lock. Watching the all 22 and for the second week in a row he is open and the ball goes elsewhere. Much like last preseason where I saw coleman winning but the ball wasn't thrown to him by the backups I knew allen would throw to coleman. I feel the same way with Moore. He is winning and getting open and either getting no balls or bad ones. If this was a regular season game and moore is this open on a 3rd down Allen is going to throw a dart here and hit him for a 20+ yard play.

Good Night / Bad Night - Pre-season Game 2

Sounds like no. Mcgovern tweaked his hamstring in practice friday apparently. If Mcgovern doesn't play Allen is not playing for sure. -
Bishop seemed to be ok in man to man here with Odunze.
-
Sure looks like he got picked naturally when the wr switched, then the wr beat him inside and then hamlin cuts him off when he dives to make an attempt at the tackle.
-
Here is the Bishop play in all 22.
-
Dewayne Carter blowing up a screen last night. Last week this was a problem and carter and hoecht recognized it right away after winning at the line of scrimmage.
-
yea I guess he wasn't in man or maybe he was, the wr switched and he was caught chasing. I really don't think they are going to put him in that situation much in the regular season. I will make a video of the play from the all 22 quick.

Good Night / Bad Night - Pre-season Game 2
MikePJ76 replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
I am watching the all 22 at the moment and I have to say the bishop stuff is being blown way out of proportion because of one play where not for nothing but hamlin should have made the tackle and bishop shouldn't be playing man to man with wr. anyway, Carter blew up the screen on the second drive, he won off the snap and then recognized it was a screen and got in the way and forced campbell to throw it into the ground. The bills looked like they were in cover 1 and depending on the formation just sending whichever safety 15 to 20 yards deep....in the first three drives anyway. -
THIS BILLS TEAM NEEDS TO WATCH ROCKY 3 NOW!!!!!
MikePJ76 replied to HailMary's topic in The Stadium Wall
Personally, I am hoping they all install the arm wrestling machine stallone had in his rig in over the top. This way they can workout on the way to the stadium too. mostly it is very important to remember the immortal words of bull harvey, -
Its pretty early to be declaring it a bad draft. Bishop who everyone is flipping out about because he got beat playing a wr man to man a t the line of scrimmage played 1 and a half series last night. Sederick Van Pran Granger's injury is a bummer this summer and the fact that he probably won't play at all this year stinks but he is a player that seemingly will be a starter at some point or given the opportunity to be a starter. They like grable and he seems like another guy that is being developed. Ray Davis proved who he was last year. He is the perfect number 2 back. Carter is the one who is the most dissapointing to me. He played in a similar system in collge and played the 1, 3 and 5 technique at end in college. I thought he would at least be able to stand in there and play the run well even if he had no pass rush ability. He has struggled this summer it seems and yesterday he looked exhausted in the second half of the game. Im curious how many snaps he played last night. Coleman is an ascending player. It seems to be calling the 24 draft a bust is very premature.
