Sal just said he expects Gabe Davis to be activated to the practice squad soon and eventually to the active roster at some point. His Return abilities alone would make the bills better before he even plays wr. They will definitely find a way to use him. Speed is deadly and can be used in so many different ways. The problem now is Pittsburgh has been linked to him for awhile and now Denver also which means the cost of the trade will be higher. Pittsburgh signed MVS today so maybe they will just stay put and use him. He has an expiring contract and they can not give up a 3 for him. At most a conditional fourth.

it's nobody's faul carter, sanders and oliver are hurt. this team is just cursed with injuries to its defense. If all those guys were healthy it would be a pretty damn good group lining up every week. Of course though they are all hurt.

If they do something like this it better be with the intention of signing him to a long term deal. If they give up a 3 they have to make him part of the team with a four year extension or something. That will keep his money down and keep him on the team. Everyone everywhere just doesn't care about draft picks because they have missed at wr but what if the next time they nail it and get a good player in the 2nd or 3rd round. That player will be cheap and locked in for 3 to 4 years. I hate the idea of trading picks for wr during a season but something is clearly not right at the moment with the passing game and Samuel and Palmer are always hurt so they need to do something. My biggest hope is it is someone who plays every week as a baseline. Allen does not want to take chances and throw balls to moore or samuel it seems at all so they need to do something.

I know he won't throw this to samuel but I want to see him throw this deep post to samuel, even if its incomplete. I think it could help if he throws this a few times. There have been three games now where samuel is running this deep post and he does not take it and give him a shot. I know on this one he has to hold it another half a second which he might not have but I really want to see them throw this deep post. These plays so many times end up as holding/Pass Interference or TD's. They get thrown in every game every week. We are not even attempting them.

Are you talking about the plays in the video? The second one is not even thrown to moore. The second one josh had three wide open targets, Shakir is open off the play action with a blocker in front, josh didn't throw it. He had moore for an easy TD here. This is imo a perfect play call. Moore has the inside and there is no safety help. Josh just held the ball. then he threw it late and short to Davis who was also open. I also think he could have fired it in their to shavers right away between the corner and safety if he wanted to.

Here are a couple more plays that I think could have been completions. Feels like a lot of little things that are changing drives. HItting a few of these I think will change some things. This first one is tough because the edge is free and unblocked. May be an impossible throw but once again coleman is running across the field left to right open. this one I really do not understand why allen is looking short to long. Moore is open all the way through this, this imo should be a TD. Throw the ball to moore before he makes his break and this seems like a simple TD and I bet moore would have looked really wide open. Just didn't pull the trigger because it appears he is going short to long in his read. Even if he hits Davis with a clean throw he may score if he makes the guy miss.

just as an example, Here are two plays from yesterday where Josh could have given Coleman the ball with easy throws. He went to hawes on the play action and threw it deep for no reason to shavers. Coleman is open on both plays and if he gets the ball he probably makes nice plays there. Little plays like this add up. I think he should be given opportunties like these. He never gets the ball.

I don't buy Josh struggles throwing left in any way. Go watch the fourth quarter of the season opener vs the ravens, made a bunch of terrific throws to his left.

The defense looked much faster yesterday. Some young guys made some big tackles that we have seen go for big plays this year. hancock's great tackle on the breakaway run and andressen made a great play on the screen which had he missed could have gone a long way. Hairston looked the part yesterday. On the sack by Groot at the ten yard line, taron johnson had great coverage, hairston seemed to know exactly what to do on his side in zone and bishop took away the spot where Dalton wanted to throw the ball. Great play from the defense. Hairston, Bishop, Hancock all looked quick and athletic and seems like if they can keep growing on that it could make a big difference.

Honestly i don't know. When watching the all 22 I see Coleman getting open a lot more than people are crediting him for. He is not getting thrown the ball. Versus the dolphins and saints I saw him wide open on Dig routes and the ball goes elsewhere. Yesterday I saw him open on about 5 plays that I have seen so far and the ball goes elsewhere or like yesterday Josh made that weird in between throw between coleman and kincaid that was a worm burner. The other thing I have noticed is that after plays where coleman was open but didn't get the ball Josh seems to force him the next ball. The big one was that saints game, he didn't give him the ball on the deep dig where he was wide open and threw to knox incomplete but then the next play was the interception which he threw late and forced to coleman on the go route. I have more hope for coleman than most and I think he needs to be thrown the ball more. I also think they should be taking at least one deep shot a game to samuel.

I don't know I am watching the all 22 at the moment and to my untrained nfl eyes Coleman was open a number of times and didn't get the ball and samuel hit another deep skinny post like the pats game and josh threw it to moore instead, which was fine because moore was wide open...josh just missed him. On that play samuel was behind both safeties. its a ball that is thrown in every game when you watch each week. Allen just didn't want to risk it I guess. on the play action pass that went to hawes for a first down, Coleman was running across the middle of the field wide open and it would have been a 20+ yard play but josh went to hawes for the quicker shorter throw which resulted in a first down. I think the team needs help at wr for sure but at the same time Allen is not pushing the ball deep when the plays with deep routes are called. I wonder if he will force it this week.

i thought 11-6 ish to go into the season because of the way they handled free agency and now I feel like i underestimated how bad it was. So 10-7 seems right.
