  1. I thought trading away a 1st for Diggs was tremendous help for Allen.
  2. Haha. Online posts have no tone of voice context so readers will fill that in with whatever suits their interest. So no you didn’t hit a nerve. It’s all fun to get through my day. For me it’s definitive because of history and players turnovers. It’s hard to argue with those. So now I’m insecure on top of being a child. Lol. Ok I’ll have a drink tonight to that! Cheers and go Bills!
  3. I think we will be better. Getting younger is a great move for the team. But it’ll take time for young players to match (hopefully exceed) production from those vets. This coming season will be a testing period of sort with new younger talent. If things go well 2025-2026 season could be when it happens. If Bills don’t hoist a Lombardi that season I think the coaching staff will be gone.
  4. Saying we can win it in a year with roster turnovers of major players on the team is what children do when they can’t comprehend the reality of a situation. When the adults explain what the situation really is the children would start calling people names because they just don’t like it.
  5. It wasn’t meant to be sarcasm. The quotes were quoting what most here say. Yes I agree that the WR room needs an upgrade. Even more so now that Diggs is gone. My response was to the poster that said we can win with scrub receivers like KC did because we have Allen. We can all see that is not true given what has played out. No snark intended.
  6. That formula only works for Mahomes and KC. Bills need multiple all pro receivers otherwise it’s ‘not giving Allen weapons’.
  7. Agreed. Because ‘realistically’ we didn’t get to the afccg the last 3 years much less the superbowl. Now the team is turning over its roster to go younger. I think they will be better for it eventually but not this coming season. Do or die for this coaching staff in 2025 is my guess.
  8. Define contender? Making the playoffs? Sure. If contender is a realistic shot at making the superbowl next season? Then call me foolish. Bills closest opportunity to get to a superbowl was 4 seasons ago. Since then they’ve not gotten pass the divisional 3 times with ascending and stable teams. Now with major roster turnovers they’re suddenly going to achieve more than they’ve ever had? Yeah…no.
  9. Better as a team is not the same as a better team. In that context I agree. The distractions were too much to bear. Flip side is he won’t be here to attract defensive coverages that opens up for other guys. It’ll be interesting how defenses will play them this season.
  10. Change thread title to ‘We can still win the East’.
  11. I mean they were successful for a while. Sometimes it’s best to part ways. And no. I hate everybody I work with. lol
  12. I don’t think Diggs made Allen but he did helped in Allen’s development. Now that Allen is at a more mature stage of his career it’s a good time to move on. They both seemingly don’t want to coexist anymore.
  13. It may be but it had to be done. You can’t have your qb and star wr splintered like that. Bad news is Bills might not even get to the divisional round next season to flop. Or maybe that’s good news? Take a step back to move forward.
  14. He re-signed. Damn you’re good. 👍
  15. Well summarized! The Allen discussions always get cloudy because some people cannot bear the thought of him having anything to do with the Bills failing. So even the most truthful criticism of him will be met with revolt and all the other points get tossed to the side even though those points are agreeable by all.
  16. It’s a team game so of course his teammates have to be good to win. But within the parameters of the game he holds the most decision making power. So it’s imperative for him to improve on that aspect regardless of the team around him. It’s useless to have great weapons if he’s making the wrong reads. That’s all most of us are saying. Look at KC this year with terrible receivers. Yet they’ve managed to win it all with Mahomes making the right decisions to maximize their offensive output. That’s where Allen can operate at but he isn’t because the processing and decisions are not there yet.
  17. They’re hoping to rehabilitate his career like they did with McKinnon’s. He’s a lot younger than McKinnon too.
  18. Not when the team keeps losing home playoffs games. lol.
  19. If it wasn’t clear before it should be absolutely clear now that Mahomes and KC is different in the playoffs when it’s win or go home. He and KC have a survival gear that’s not present with the Bills. Also their offense was moving the ball at will throughout the game so to think they wouldn’t be able to at the end is kinda wishful. Look how easily they picked up that 1st to close out after the missed fg. So yeah let’s just disregard all those regular season games against KC because they mean squat when it comes down to crunch time. We keep touting those regular season wins against them and some fans were overly confident before this last game. Hopefully this latest lesson reminder will stick going forward.
  20. Why stop there. Let’s see what happens after Reid retires. Even then there’s still plenty of space to move those goal posts.
  21. How many times did Vinatieri bailed out Brady? That’s not the point as Brady is considered the goat. Let’s say Bass made that kick. So now Mahomes has 1:45 roughly to take his team down for a winning fg. You’re confident that Bills would be able to stop him? Whenever this topic gets discussed it’s always all the other part of the team that needs improving except the main part. Allen is a top 3 qb in the league but he does have room for improvement. Just like all other QBs, including the best guy in Mahomes. Edit: Regarding your op I haven’t seen the national media crapping on Allen. I watch alot of national sports shows. The narrative of Allen is not being able to get past Mahomes in the playoffs. Even though Allen lost to Burrow that’s not really discussed at all. If you’re reading comments on Twitter and YouTube etc then it’s a different story and one that should be ignored.
  22. Yes he did…in a game that was 2 years ago. It can’t be just 1 time. We’re talking about playoffs here. Where the cream rises to the top. It has to be consistent. All was on a platter for him this past playoffs game against KC, at home no less. Had the ball with a chance to eliminate Mahomes and KC. Home crowd cheering on. It would’ve changed his whole narrative this offseason. So how did he answered that opportunity? By being impatient at the worst possible moment and ultimately didn’t even advance the team to the red zone. Giving his struggling kicker a tough kick in that condition. So the narrative will continue. He has to improve his mental game to take it to level where Mahomes is operating. Until he does Bills will be going home early in the playoffs as always.
  23. I agree with 13 sec. Allen did his job. Coaching staff screwed up. Also credit should be given to Mahomes and KC for taken advantage of that situation. In elimination games elite QBs like Mahomes will score with the ball last and game on the line regardless of what defense it is. Eagles and SF had top defenses in the last two Superbowls and couldn’t get stops to secure a Lombardi. This is the playoffs level I’m hoping Allen can get to at some point. Where everyone knows he will lead the Bills to a winning score regardless of the defense he’s up against. More playmakers will definitely help with that cause for sure, to your point.
