  1. KC getting hot at the right time seems to happen often. I’m of the personality that gives credit where credit is due. There’s no point in discrediting a team that has continuously knocked out our team in the playoffs. Give them credit and maybe receive positive karma in return.
  2. Not to get sidetracked but you said similar things last offseason. You said KC would take a step back and Cincy would be our competition. My response will be the same as last offseason: KC is the defending champs until proven otherwise. They will be the Bills (and all AFC contenders) biggest challenge.
  3. Man this thread is getting off track. Anyone have updates ? Is Rice getting life?
  4. He enjoys golf so this doesn’t count.
  5. I’m sure he can’t wait to play the Bills too…probably with the same wet fantasy going the other way.
  6. It worked for KC. When your superstar qb gets paid the largest chunk of cap space this is the way. That superstar qb has to elevate his to maximize their potential. Mahomes did it. Allen can too.
  7. When KC traded away Hill the media went after them hard that offseason. There were pundits that picked them to not win the division and some even said missing the playoffs entirely. That was a big motivator for their team as evidenced by the players comments after winning Superbowl LVII. So far I haven’t seen the same level of disrespect towards the Bills after losing BOTH #1 and #2 receivers. But it’s still early in the offseason things can change.
  8. This will be an interesting season for him. He has the opportunity to unequivocally say he makes the receivers not the other way around. I hope Bills don’t over reach for a big free agent like Higgins or Aiyuk. Draft a couple of receivers and let Allen elevate them. That’s what elite QBs do. He can be a force multiplier.
  9. What are you going on about? I think you may have misread?
  10. While the defense didn’t put up much of a fight against their offense Allen did get the ball last with a chance to win. Yes he did his job but I bet he wish he could’ve driven the team to a touchdown with little time left to ensure a win. I’m sure he’ll do better next time that opportunity presents itself.
  11. This was what I took from Davis’ comment as well. Whatever throwing sessions they did was when they were back in Buffalo. Your thread posed a legitimate question. It’s not calling Allen lazy or being slanderous towards him. People are taking it the wrong way. It’s also debatable how much it would help Allen personally to do the things other QBs do. He knows best what’s good for him. This is a big season coming up. He needs to solve that KC problem in the playoffs and now would have to do with new receivers. Yeah I’d like to see him get together to Samuels for instance. There’s still plenty of time before OTAs so maybe they’d still do it.
  12. Not when it gets in the way of how they feel.
  13. Because the engine is Mahomes not any receiver. Looking forward to see Allen be the same way this season.
  14. Professional football players making time in the offseason to get together without any obligations truly is incredible.
  15. This offseason stuff is catching on. Wonder when it’ll make its way to Buffalo?
  16. Wrong game. But I agree with your take about the ‘look at me’ moment.
  17. Oh completely agree that this extra work may or may not help certain guys. While KC receivers were struggling last season I now see why Mahomes wouldn’t criticize them. They’re showing up for extra work to support him in the offseason so if anything it strengthens the bond of loyalty they have for each other. They ended winning the Superbowl so who’s to say their method didn’t work. What’s also interesting is Mahomes working out with potential draft prospects during these sessions. It’s like test driving a car for a few weeks. That’s how they ended up with Rashee Rice last year. Andy Reid has also said that their offseason Phase 1 plan gets implemented by Mahomes during this time. So when they officially meet for OTAs they’re ahead of the curve. I can see more and more QBs and teams will start doing this exercise more formally like Mahomes has. It’s a copy cat league and you can’t argue their success.
