  1. Jordan Schultz on Twitter: "Source: DeAndre Hopkins will visit the #Patriots on Thursday. This comes after what I’m told was a successful visit with the #Titans. DHop, a 5x All-Pro, continues to weigh interest from around the NFL. @theScore https://t.co/v1wCEPbpNJ" / Twitter
  2. Schoen is in a tough spot. You don't want to break the bank for an RB in today's NFL and Barkley does come with a history of injuries. But he is the best player on offense. I could see the Giants taking a step back this year. They really should go in the direction of acquiring more picks and building thru the draft. Trading Barkley (I doubt they will) is probably a better move long-term then signing him to a big contract. I give Daball all the credit in the world for what he did last year but that team doesn't have enough talent to be a Super Bowl contender. Not even close at this point.
  3. Nope. I should be. My dad bought Jets season tickets in Namath's rookie year. Started taking me to the games when I was 5. So, I go back to the Shea days. But OJ was my favorite player growing up and that is how I became a Bills fan. My first great memory with the Bills was the 1981 WC game at Shea. I was there. Bills jump out to 24-0 lead only to see the Jets make a furious rally. Bill Simpson intercepted Richard Todd at the goal line with about 10 seconds left as the Bills held on for a 31-27 win.
  4. Born on Long Island but parents moved to NJ when I was 5. Have lived in NJ since then.
  5. Nice try. California’s budget whiplash: From a record-setting surplus to a massive shortfall in one year (pressdemocrat.com) Business and people are leaving in large numbers. SF a once beautiful city is now garbage. Keeping voting blue CA. There is a better chance I replace Josh Allen as QB of the Bills then there is in CA being a "great" anything.
  6. The only thing Newsome destroys is CA. I don't feel sorry for those idiots as they voted for this POS.
  7. Because the Jets and Dolphins got much better. Road games at KC, CIN, PHIL make the schedule much tougher. To me 10-7 is the floor with 12-5 being the ceiling assuming injuries don't play a major role.
  8. I am not saying they will, but the option is there. Even if Johnson wanted to go back to NY, he would have to get the ball rolling on getting a new stadium built. To go through all of the political red tape to get the approval takes time. As we all saw with the Bills.
  9. We need something to replace the Hopkins thread. Might as well be a Barkley one.
  10. With the lease at MetLife both teams can opt out after 15 years. Then they can opt out every 5 years after that. The Giants have no desire to leave NJ, but it is well known that Johnson would love to go back to NY. He did try to have a stadium built in Manhattan a few years back.
  11. But what about wide right.
  12. I agree I don't get it either. Some fans care. If you went to a Jets or Giants game at MetLife, you would see its split between NY and NJ license plates on the vehicles. A large portion of the Jets season ticket holders still come from Long Island.
  13. Same here. But this year I will be rooting for Dallas to win 3 games.
  14. I doubt he will, and he said he wants to retire a Giant, but he is clearly unhappy with the lack of progress on a new contract. The Daily News also reported this in today's paper. That Sports Guy on Twitter: "This feels very much like the Le’Veon Bell situation with the Steelers in 2018. Giants were willing to make Saquon Barkley the highest paid RB in football. Saquon turns it down, believing he’s worth more, and is kicking around the idea of sitting out" / Twitter
  15. There are some fans in NJ who complain about both teams having NY in their name. They want them to change it to NJJ and NJG which neither team will do. The NY brand name sells. NJ not so much.
  16. If I had to pick an NFC team it would be SF. Always liked them going back to the days of Montana, Clark and "The Catch" against Dallas.
  17. There is a bar near me called Duffy's in Paterson, NJ. They have a strong Bills following. More Bills fans go here to watch the games then Jets or Giants fans. Which is odd since we are talking Northern NJ which is Jets/Giants territory. The place is packed when the Bills are playing.
  18. If they can beat the Jets at MetLife, then the Bills have a great chance to get off to a fantastic start. After the Jets game the Bills will be favored and should win every game before a really tough one on Nov 5th at Cincinnati. The Dolphins will be tough but that one is at home so the Bills will be favored. I know the Bills lose games to teams they should beat as they do that every year. But if they start 1-0, they will be favored in every game until the Bengals game. Most of the teams during this stretch really aren't anything special. at Jets Raiders at Commanders Dolphins Giants at Patriots Bucs at Bengals on Nov 5th
  19. Mary Kay Cabot on Twitter: "Updated: Deshaun Watson still wants DeAndre Hopkins, but it's a longshot for now. No FA visit to the #Browns is scheduled, and they're not looking to add a big-name receiver https://t.co/DhqSJEG7eF" / Twitter
  20. If injuries don't play a factor, then the Pats will finish last in the division. The Bills, Jets, Dolphins are better teams.
  21. The only one who is better than Josh right now is Mahomes. Maybe you can make a case for Burrow, but I think Allen is the better overall athlete. Herbert, Lawrence, Hurts are all up there but I don't think any of them are better than Allen.
