  1. No guarantees but the way they were playing that year I think they would have gotten by the Bengals. Allen and the offense were unstoppable. But we will never know.
  2. Agree. Plus, it's not like McDermott hasn't been given a fair chance. This will be his 7th year as coach of the Bills. At some point you have to wonder if he is the guy to get them over the hump. If he fails, this year then I could see his seat getting warm.
  3. Look at Elway as an example. He didn't win a Super Bowl for the longest time (although he did get to and lose 3 of them) but the Broncos managed to build a team around him nearing the end of his career which allowed him to win 2 Super Bowls. The Bills have time to win with Allen, but I am not sure that McDermott will be the coach when they finally win a Super Bowl with him.
  4. If the season goes south for any reason, I wonder if Terry fires McDermott but retains Beane or he cleans house and gets rid of both of them. In the latter scenario Terry would probably need a consultant to come in and help him hire the new GM/HC. Or Beane will lead the search for the next HC assuming they do move on from McDermott. I can't see Terry leading the search for the next management team. Despite being the owner, he is a football fan not a "football man".
  5. Nope they need to be better. With McDermott calling the shots on D this will all come back on him now if they fail again
  6. Taron Johnson did have that 100-yard INT that sealed the win against the Ravens in the playoffs.
  7. Better play at LOS on both sides of the ball. Last year in the Super Bowl both the Eagles and Chiefs had the #1 and #2 OL's in the league. The Bills were ranked #26. On defense they need to do a better job getting after the QB as well as stopping the run.
  8. Same. That was Moe, Larry, Curly stuff right there. Starting at their own 25 and they get into FG range. I wouldn't care if the Chiefs had 100 timeouts. It's still 13 seconds. You just don't lose in that situation.
  9. It definitely looked like it. The Bills shot themselves in foot. In the 2nd half the Dolphins had the momentum but the Bills still escaped with a win. If Tua played I am not so sure the Bills win.
  10. He was outcoached in both playoff games last year. If the Dolphins didn't have a scrub at QB then there is a decent chance they don't advance to play the Bengals.
  11. Maybe but I don't think he gets in on his first year of eligibility like Peyton who was obviously a slam dunk for the Hall.
  12. I wanted Josh Rosen and was upset the Bills took Allen. Thankfully Beane knew what he was doing because I sure as hell didn't. Not that my meaningless opinion matters anyway.
  13. Depends on the player. Eli won 2 Super Bowls and both against the evil empire, but I wouldn't call him a great QB. He was a good QB even a very good QB but definitely not an all-time great. It will be interesting to see if those 2 Super Bowls are enough to get him in the HOF.
  14. Bill went to 9 Super Bowls and won 6 of them with an elite level franchise QB. There isn't another coach in the NFL who is even close to that.
  15. They still have Mac Jones as the QB. Bills should sweep them. Actually, they better because sweeping the Jets and Fins will be tough this year. At worst I hope the Bills go 4-2 in the division.
  16. You will also need to Terry Pegula to become a George Steinbrenner type of owner for this to happen. Better make sure the playoff game is at home as he is winless on the road. 0-4 JAC, HOU, KC (2).
  17. The Buffalo News on Twitter: "Murphy said via text he isn’t ready to be interviewed, but he did send this reply: “I’m going to wait until late July before I decide whether to come back. Still some recovery to do.” https://t.co/h9MpyyqLnd" / Twitter
  18. Hopefully Kincaid can have a big impact this year.
  19. This is really no big deal as other teams do this as well. Football doesn't really start until TC in July. Even then most of the starters don't see any preseason action. If they do it's usually for a series or two.
  20. They both do. Terry said in an interview when both were hired that both of them report to him.
  21. Just look at the Jets and Giants as examples. At Giants Stadium both teams sold out the stadium with season tickets holders and had a waiting list as well. At MetLife both teams now advertise to buy season and individual tickets. PSL were a disaster in the NYC market. It also didn't help that both teams sucked for the past decade. If the Bills in a much smaller market without the corporate support that the NYC area can offer, they better put a winning product out there or they will be playing in front of sparse crowds like the Jets and Giants did.
  22. Terry wasn't so patient with the Sabres when they were a clown show all of those years. The Bills of the last 6 years have been much better than the Sabres of the past decade, but Terry has shown he will make major changes if he feels it's necessary. New stadium on the way the Bills better field a winning product considering what the cost will be for fans to attend their games.
