If we have to turn to Mike White for more than a few quarters, we are done. But if he can give some intel on the Jets and Dolphins, I'll be happy to have him
-
Is Toohill good?
-
Wtf on Hardy
-
Does anyone have the actual roster?
-
Gore got banged up in the last game too. I'd be surprised if a team would claim him but maybe the whole bloodlines thing would appeal to a rebuilding team lacking RB depth such as the Vikings, Saints, Giants, etc
-
Exactly. I also think people are downplaying the roles Kincaid and Knox will have this season.
-
Shakir is gonna ball out
-
If they are confident in the health of Samuel and MVS, I am not really sure any player left moves the needle.
-
They'll get one or both of Hamler and Shavers on the practice squad and call them up in case of injury.
-
Zappe is a guy I'd be fine with throwing in the game if your QB went down with an injury in the 2nd quarter and let his adrenaline carry him through. But he's not a guy I'd want starting the next week. He seems like an in-game backup but not your actual 2nd stringer if that makes sense.
-
The thing about keeping a guy like Hamler is would he actually be claimed by anyone? To me he seems like a cut and practice squad guy who you call up early if Hardy is indeed hurt and then move on. I just have a hard time using a 53 man spot on him.

I think Knox and Kincaid are going to be on the field together a lot. Likely with Kincaid in the slot. 5 WR's is acceptable for this team although injuries are always a concern. What this tells me more than anything is that they feel good about Samuel's and MVS' recovery

Curtis Samuel Turf Toe, Other Injury Updates

I was probably semi in the minority thinking that the WR room was good enough. But they have to bring in someone of significance at this point. I know that's difficult at this point but you gotta find a way. -
If you could get a day 2 pick for Cook would you pull the trigger…
stlbills13 replied to julian's topic in The Stadium Wall
That's awfully close for me. I just think with the unproven WR's, it's good to have 2 high end RB's. Plus Davis isn't proven yet either. But if somehow a team would offer you a 2nd and a 4th for Cook, I'd probably have to take that deal. -
I know it's not the easiest system but we need Bishop to be a starter. You gotta get that kind of investment out of 2nd rounders at non premium positions.

AFC Best Case Worst Case Season Outlook July Edition
stlbills13 replied to corta765's topic in The Stadium Wall
Worst case scenario. 17-0. Josh throws 52 touchdowns and adds 18 on the ground for a historical 70 TD season with just under 6000 total yards. James Cook rushes for 1000 yards and Coleman, Shakir, Samuel also have 1000 yard seasons with Coleman already being classified as a top 10 WR in the NFL. Guys like MVS, Claypool, Hollins emerge as legit deep threats and defenses have no idea how to stop the Bills with Kincaid (1000 yard season) and Knox (10 TDs) dominate underneath all season. Ray Davis proves he can be an inexpensive backup with a wildly efficient 6 yards per carry and 750 yard season. The offensive line keeps Josh upright all season to the point where Josh has to play golf on Mondays and Tuesdays to get exercise after barely having to move on Sundays Von Miller rebounds with an 18 sack season including 4 of Mahomes in the 55-3 regular season win for the Bills. Greg Rousseau adds 22 sacks of his own and potentially prices himself out of Buffalo as he's being called the best defensive end in the NFL. Ed Oliver is such a threat with pressure up the middle that opposing offenses run 2 RB formations at all time to help their QB. Epenesa and Solomon get a combined 16 sacks where they're basically untouched. Milano and Bernard are the best LB tandem in the NFL with a combined 30 INT's, sacks, and forced fumbles. The secondary capitalizes on the intense pressure with 20 picks, 8 of which are returned for touchdowns and Elam emerges as a Marcus Peters type big play threat. Cole Bishop becomes one of the best safeties in the NFL and the Bills are known as the most desirable place for all safeties. Babich and Brady are both on the shortlist for every head coach job in the league and McD silences all critics both in the NFL and within Al Qaeda The Bills, with their 38 point average margin of victory, get ready to host the 5th seeded Ravens (whom they beat 41-6 earlier in the season) in the first round of the playoffs when CBS cuts to the director of the CDC partnering with Roger Goodell announcing the rest of the season has been canceled due to a virus caused by Aaron Rodgers mixing two psychedelic drugs with the fur of Australian sheep covered by the blood of Brazilian beatles. -
I'm really starting to love this WR room. We quietly got better

My thoughts - A QB of Allen's caliber can elevate a WR group - In today's NFL (and basically all periods of the NFL) I prefer to look at it is the full pass catching group and not just WR's - Between Kincaid and Knox, I feel that you have two very good options - Shakir and Samuel are legit good in my opinion. My only fear is that your 4 most proven pass catchers are probably best as slot/tight end positions - Coleman is unproven but he's a bigger body guy who at least seems to have the right attitude. If he could even fill the Gabe Davis role, I think you can get by - Call me crazy but I think either MVS, Claypool, or Hollins will be a regular factor/threat Is it better than last year? I don't really know. Diggs is really really good and was the focus of a lot of defensive gameplans. Kincaid should take a jump. A healthy Knox will at least give us more options. Shakir is ascending. He'll never be a superstar but he will be a big factor.
