Edwards is solid and really thrived in that 6th oline/3rd te role. Good to get those kind of roles filled so we can concentrate on the big dogs we need

Had a dream last night that Harrison fell to the 11th pick and the Bills traded up to 11 but drafted a defensive end instead. One of the worst nightmares I've had.

I think politicians are finally going to act after this. I bet you'll see a law in the next few months that bans Super Bowl parades.

He seemed to unlock Shakir. He also seemed to find a good balance for Josh. Need to see a little more aggression and less throws right at the LOS. But I support the hire. He and Josh basically need to live together this offseason.

As long as it screws the chiefs somehow I'm good with it -
Mix and match Allen/Mahomes and Reid/McDermott
stlbills13 replied to Lifefan1's topic in The Stadium Wall
Allen/Reid would be better than Mahomes/McDermott all else being equal. -
What realistic coaching changes do you expect?
stlbills13 replied to BigBadBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Special teams change and I could see an external defensive coordinator with McD still calling plays. -
No Burrow. Weaker KC. Finished the season reasonably strong. Mahomes comes to Buffalo. Purdy or Goff waiting on the other side. I know this team wasn't dominant bur yeah I kind of thought it'd happen

McDermott will scapegoat himself using injuries as an excuse

Other than Poyer's forced fumble, the defense essentially made ZERO plays last night. If it weren't for the offense's time of possession, we could have given up 50 last night. -
Can We End This Nonsense About Homefield Advantage Now?
stlbills13 replied to K D's topic in The Stadium Wall
Homefield advantage is nice but did the Chiefs have a single false start, delay of game, or even miscommunication on offense? I can't stand Mahomes and Reid but they were ready. I know there's more to it than that but the Chiefs didn't seem phased. -
I'm trying to decide what kind of deal/situation I'd even take him back on. WR in round 1 plus a 2 year $10M deal. I could probably handle that. WR's are Diggs, Shakir, Rookie. Then Davis as the #4 deep threat/blocking WR. Steep price for that player and he'll get more than that but that's about all I could handle for him to be back.

I would say 7 new starters out of the 22 next year. 1-2 on offense and 5 on defense. Only guys on defense who definitely have a role IMO are Oliver, Milano, Bernard, Douglas, Benford, Johnson. It's possible some guys will be back and starting like Floyd or Jones but it's going to be tough to do that and upgrade WR and bring in the necessary depth.

Josh has to play a perfect game for the team to have a chance in the playoffs. Even then it may not be enough. He's going to have to find a way to be even better.

Divisional Playoffs - Chiefs at Bills - Post game thread
stlbills13 replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
I know it would have still required a miracle offensively but disappointing our defense couldn't force a 3 and out on the very last series when you knew the Chiefs would run the ball 3 times. Really didn't even put up a fight -
Like I've said in other threads. These were the last 3 plays once we got it down to the 28 yard line 1st down - Cook 1 yard run *2 minute warning* 2nd down - incomplete to Shakir 3rd down - incomplete to nobody really Not running the ball with Allen on any of those 3 plays was a mistake. You could have made for a shorter field goal while also taking time off the clock or forcing KC to use timeouts. You could have picked up a first down and drained the clock further. You could have made it a manageable 4th down. Whether it's Brady not calling a designed run or Allen just not taking off, I just don't understand not letting your best player make a play using his legs which the Chiefs hadn't stopped all game.

Divisional Playoffs - Chiefs at Bills - Post game thread

It sucks that Allen has to play a perfect game just to win a divisional game at home and even that may not be enough. -
Anyone else more low-key about this loss than you thought you'd be?

I replayed moments in my head all night. Hardly slept. The hardest part for me is just that the season is over. Devastated. But ready to do it again next season. -

I think he got hit but I still don't disagree. My main point was I would have used Allen's legs the rest of the way. It was successful all game. And yes Josh could have just run it himself. I think the inability for the defensive line to get an ounce of pressure on Mahomes and the Diggs/Sherfield drops cost us the game so I don't want to put too much on those last 3 playcalls. -

Once we got to the 2 minute warning (and the play before), the only play I may have called was a Josh run. Worst case scenario is it drains clock and/or forces the chiefs to use a timeout and gives Bass a shorter field goal. Best case wss he continued having success and drained the clock leading to a game winning TD. Or I throw a simple short route to Kincaid Joe Brady called a great game but I didn't love the last 3 plays -
I didn't love the James Cook run on 1st down that led to the 2 minute warning. The chiefs had stopped that play a few times. And at that point the ball stays in Josh's hands for the rest of the game for me. I also think we didn't use Kincaid enough
