  1. Man, Ari, he'd have that money even with his bad 4th quarter if that wr is just able to reach out and grab that pass at the end. He had nothing but green in front of him.
  2. Based upon what I researched and saw last year, and this deal, by the end of 2016 he will have made 51 million dollars playing football. Considering where he started, seriously, not bad. As I have said on previous occasions, this is a guy whose services are going to be in demand, primarily as a back up, probably until his late 30s. Even if he is overly mediocre this season, he should be able to earn 3-4 million as a back-up for the next few years...if he wants.
  3. The Jets will not sign Fitz. They will have a horrible season. ...and the Jets will have Chad Kelly as their opening day starter in 2017.
  4. Ya know what...this. I think this is fairly accurate. Additionally, Yolo said it well, too, concerning the place for this in college and high school. This game has become so big that there is just something very passe about cheer leading in the pros.
  5. The team that is the furthest driving distance away in the above scenario (which I've always loved), Cincy, is still closer the closest rival in our current division. I'm for this because it just seems like the division we should be in. I actually can envision possibly going to all division road games in the same year.
  6. This still makes me laugh. What has it been, 20 years?
  7. For those of you who weren't around to see that Bears defense trust us that did...wow. It was wow.
  8. RIP to Buddy and condolences to the Ryan. Minor point, which I believe most around here already know, that Buddy was on the coaching staff of the first UB team that received a bowl bid, after which they turned it down. EDIT: I stand corrected, they turned down the bowl bid in'58 and Ryan did not arrive until '61.
  9. Actually they are 24th in income. They are last in value.
  10. Still remember the 80s, when the Ottawa Rough Riders made all the way to the Grey Cup with a 5-11 record...and I rooted for them like crazy. Moon and Eskies were just too much.
  11. For me, 290 to south on the NFB. A little bit of a drive, but worth it to me. Thanks, rags! NOTE: I have forwarded that article to a few people. Nice for people to have handy whether they are visiting or just locals.
  12. Request from BPA and the rest of you. Do any of you know of any sub places around here that have: 1. Shredded Lettuce, and 2. Oil that tastes like something a little more than oil...like if they add malt vinegar to it? Been years since I've had the "perfect" sub, assorted, stake or otherwise.
  13. I've been counting down since we were behind the Royals and Blue Jays. I knew awhile go that Number 122 was ours for the taking.
  14. I still wish he would have bought the team for 1.2 billion. I know he is a billionaire, but for all the plans he may have in place for downtown Buffalo, or a new stadium elsewhere, I wish he had an extra 200 million in his pocket. Edit: 1.2 being a seemingly sufficient amount ahead of the other bidders.
  15. This is such a beautiful post...it truly is.
  16. Glad that he is signed. More importantly: that shirt is AWESOME!!!
  17. Say what you will, CBF, but you can not knock our consistency.
  18. Gotta tell ya, it is pretty darn tempting.
  19. A 28 year old Bruce Smith would be getting no less than 6 years, 102 million dollars, with 60 million guaranteed. ...no less.
  20. a 30 year old Jim Kelly in 2016 is getting no less than 5 years, 100 million, with 50 million guaranteed. ...no less.
  21. Tyler Eifert was a nice pick-up for the Bengals.
  22. This is the bonus of having fairly wealthy owners.
  23. I threw-up a little reading that. Nah, just kidding...I threw-up a lot.
  24. Well said, Mark. We've been beaten down and disappointed, by the outside and ourselves, that it is difficult to remember being optimistic. Gone are the days (if you remember them at all) when we would say with confidence, "other teams rebuild, we reload".
  25. This. Jags were "terrified" they weren't going to get their receiver. I have always been comfortable with blaming the Jags. I respectfully disagree, to a degree, with those who say he wouldn't have been the Big Ben we know now. He may not have been as successful, but he would still be our same qb today after 12 years and we would have made the playoffs at least once or twice.
