Just a side note... From 1990 to 1993 the Bills finished the regular season as the #1 team in the NFL only once, in 1993. Although they also beat the Cowboys in the '93 regular season, they also essentially finished tied with them at 12-4. I hate that we lost four straight Super Bowls, however, I am proud of what those Bills teams did. I respect the heck out of Philip Rivers...but I don't want Josh to have that similar noose hanging around his neck. Go Bills

Hard Knocks Episode 2: The Thread
dollars 2 donuts replied to DrDawkinstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
What I always loved about HK was the personal stories and the guys on the fringe fighting to make the team. I love watching my Bills, but they aren't really showing anything at stake...yet. -
Cook signed👀 - 4 / 48 / 30 mil guaranteed
dollars 2 donuts replied to JerseyBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Warrior, believe last year's oline was the best oline Josh has had as a Bill, and it showed. That protection and that blocking was the tide, besides Josh, that raises all ships. We had a lot of turnovers on defense, but had a Dickens of a time getting off the field on third downs. Josh's O, with that line, made up for a lot. My understanding was the larger, albeit not much larger, guaranteed money has the greater effect on other contracts than the APY. However, YD, I am a novice at best so that really isn't in my wheelhouse of understanding. -

Why? Honestly, I don’t know. I haven’t been listening to him talk about this. -

Glad he is in. would have preferred the 3 yrs 36, 24 guar. Just hope they have room for McGovern and Torrence next year. -
I checked the calendar and I can say with quite certainty it has been about 3 years since the debut of episode one. Hard Knocks should be everyday at about 10 pm.

Rams extend RB Kyren Williams - 3-year, $33 million
dollars 2 donuts replied to Big Blitz's topic in The Stadium Wall
I can't say I have read everything in this thread, but rarely have we been so thoughtful, versed and reasoned to a man in a single thread as we have been with this one. Everyone has made strong points and, forgive me for broad generalization, the suggested sweet spot seems to be between $11 million to $12.5 million per at max, and in a 3-4 year deal with more than half ($25 million?) guaranteed. I'm not saying the Bills are offering that, but if they were and Cook still doesn't sign I am not sure how we crack the armadillo after this to get both sides on the same page, I really don't. Go Bills -

Previously I had said low end 10 million per, 12 million per max. Honestly, this morning on the way into work I thought 3 years, $36 million, $24 million guaranteed. So, this contract is good news to that end. ...but nothing higher. I love Cook, but nothing more. -
Bills Mafia gained another angel in heaven.

I get sad at these and then I get angry. I know this is life, and this is the ultimate end, but... ...it is just wrong and it really bothers me. My condolences to the family. -

I hear you, Doc, but I am not really commenting about him, more so what happens when these guys become available. or at least how it seems. -

Christian Wilkins likely about to put ink to paper as either a Raven or a Chief because that is just the way it goes. ...even if he ends up getting bigger offers from the NFC. -
If it is a blue and an ice or silver I am going to be so all over this like flies on **** or me on a plate of pasta. Winter is coming and the North remembers.

ESPN acquiring the NFL Network and the NFL Redzone

It worked out so well for the NFL and EA Tiburon / Madden, as well. This is an absolute Deucenburg Suck-A-Thon. -

I don't understand, Jokeman. The world wide leader in slash and burn. The Titanic of sinking sports ships. The very guys who can't keep pee (and other stains) off the front of their pants, and coffee stains off their ties...are buying the NFL Network, and somebody in charge at NFL Media is OK with this?! -

Red helmets and standing Buffalo helmets confirmed.
dollars 2 donuts replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
Sweet. I can't wait for Josh to take 3 snaps under center with the Reddy on, including a 5 yard swing out pass. Everyone wants to see Mitch do 60 downs with that bad boy on his dome, along with 50% of the 2s ad 3s, on the final game of the season. Oh well, it will be good to see it again. Go Bills. -
Hap, thank you. We blow by this every year as a non-factor. Look, I am probably the biggest Bills fan on here. I literally weigh 490 lbs. * That said I just don't believe we are going to the Show if we are not home all the way through. In the 60 + year history of this franchise they have made it once on the road. I am not going into the analytics of it deeply, just the reality. 14-3 might do it this year. GO BILLS! (* When I'm holding 250 lbs in weights)

Al, it is a good team for him to be on. Both sides get the benefit. Even if he only has a limited/OK season it will help the Commanders out. The leadership he brings is so damn important, too.

Bengals 1st RD Pick could go back to College?
dollars 2 donuts replied to Big Blitz's topic in The Stadium Wall
I didn't know this. I agree with you, and him. Thanks Watty. -
I hear ya. Gregg, it is so weird. I think the division is a hot mess. At their very best I could see every team behind us going somewhere between 9-8 and 7-10...at their VERY BEST, to be clear. It really could be another year of locking up the division early.

Wilson on a good team with a good quarterback would be F'n bonkers. No way EVER should talent be punished at contract time because those around him are bad. Kid, you earned it. Let's hope the team does right be you under center...eventually.

Are Fan Expectations Too High for Keon Coleman?
dollars 2 donuts replied to JohnNord's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think it sometimes stifles or arrests the talent that you do have. I also think that there is potential for it to be inorganic or unnatural. In other words it can seem forced. Additionally, although it is disciplined I still think it neuters Josh's individual superlatives at times. I very much like Josh having the knowledge of what has happened lately, but I am also a big believer in "Let Josh Be Josh." -
Predict Most improved/Most likely to regress

He is going to BALL this year, Augie. Oh he wants it so bad I am not even sure a river of demons could stop him from the second last thing* on his check list: hoisting the Lombardi. (* Children) -
Are Fan Expectations Too High for Keon Coleman?
dollars 2 donuts replied to JohnNord's topic in The Stadium Wall
Era, even before I saw this thread I thought 51 grabs, 3 a game, would be reasonable for him. Along with your yards and TDs I think it could be perceived as a successful second season in a team where everybody eats.* (* Personally, I am not a fan of the "everybody eats" mantra) -
Predict Most improved/Most likely to regress
dollars 2 donuts replied to Ethan in Cleveland's topic in The Stadium Wall
Improved: Coleman, Kincaid and Milano in maybe in his last great LB year. Regressed: You guys are gutless...it is Allen. He has been lights out awesome for so long like an inhabitant of Mount Olympus. Normally I would say the meta-human keeps it going, but...he is married now. As one of the great boxing trainers of all time, Mickey, said, "Women. Weaken. Knees." If he is able to keep us and Mrs. Allen happy in 2025 his image should be carved into Football Mount Rushmore in time for an unveiling next March. Go Bills!
