  1. I can't help but have the feeling he could turn into a Gabe Davis type so I'm not ready to throw the towel in yet.
  2. I had a random thought whilst pondering this subject. We don't look so bad now, do we?....signed Doug Whaley and Russ Brandon. I'm sorry, I had the Brown's situation going on in my mind. Note to self, don't need a whole Gummy.
  3. I would think the question would be, if the complaints include unwanted sexual advances resulting in at least one woman brought to tears, does that constitute sexual assault? It would seem so. I would certainly expect the league would view that way, especially given the number of complaints. Are there simply cases of gold diggers?...more than likely, but one thing proven in each one is that Watson's one stupid dude.
  4. Tommy Boy wouldn't have gotten up clapping after taking this hit.....Signed Brett Favre.
  5. Not projecting future FA signings or draft picks, I could see Barnard, Milano and Spector as a very good to great 4-3 LB setup. No way in H they can be dumb enough to pay Edmunds 15+ per yr. .I'll shave my head if he all off a sudden makes game changing play(s) this year.
  6. Exactly! signed...Lyle Alazado, Bill Romanowski...What are PEDS anyway? Deer antler spray? Nugenix? B12? I would think anabolic steroids were 2 or 3 decades ago. Maybe I'm naive.
  7. I agree and my impression was that he had/has a good aggressive pass rush ability and actually like him better than Dodson. He looked to me like a solid hitter. JMO
  8. I think Lamar...regardless of what any of us think of him, needs an agent like Drew R. Like the old saying goes..."He who represents himself, has a fool for an attorney" ....and I think he can go farther than Murray. I also think that being used the way he is may be weighing on his mind as to how long he will last, and I don't blame him. I'll give Roman credit for what he's done, but it ain't sustainable. All I can currently fault Lamar for is lack of common sense. Ma Ma Ma Ma Mamma says.....
  9. No argument there as far as Thomas and and Hamlin, however I do not know the" measurables and athleticism" I was and still am intrigued by what Ed Reed saw in the kid to make those statements. I'm sure we'll get to see more of these guys soon.
  10. I think the Honeybadger deal would be the marker. I think 9 mil. per is ok. I would think a 2 yr. deal with the 1st being mostly a signing bonus, On the other hand, Ed Reed said Joquain (sp?) Johnson would be a pro bowler for years, so there's that. I just think this is not the year to break up the safety tandem.
  11. I think he can work the 20 yd. outs just fine. I don't think he's limited to a slot WR at all. He may not have the home run speed , but is said to be a very good route runner. Billswire comps him to Antwan Randle'el.
  12. Last year I don't think they had the original starting 5 for most of the season. I think Bates will be fine at RG and am thankful he'll be able to help work with Brown, who I Think will be just fine going forward. Morse, Bates and Brown pulling right I would bet to be huge. Bring back the counter tre. That was money with Thurman. My concern is if Saffold gets hurt, Mitch gets concussed and or Brown gets nicked. We will be back to musical lineman again. I'm hoping they found some gems in the UFDA pool. Alec Anderson may turn into a good guard. I actually read on Billswire that Tenuta's NFL comparison is Joe Thuney. Cody Ford should have been turned into a draft pick.....like Darrien Kinnard.(sp)? I bet the oline is next offseason's big priority.
  13. Yeah, IDK Taylor was the first to come to mind when I pictured Greg becoming more dominant, with the long, swimmy, bendy rush. Someone mentioned Peppers and that would be fine, I'd like to see more power. Maybe he'll push the 280 lb. mark with added muscle. He also may end up with his own unique type of niche. Either way, I'm expecting to see major improvement. He IMO did very good for a rookie to be in there from day one.
  14. Back in the day of 10 cent wings and 50 cent Cream ale drafts, between foosball games in a smoke filled bar with the jukebox blasting the Eagles, Fleetwood Mac or later Kenny Rogers, I didn't take a solid crap for 20 yrs. Could never eat that many wings again....or Cream ale. Now I can't ....nevermind...
  15. I'm kinda hoping they use Miller the same way they did Lorax....inside the DE...Groot. That was very successful and being the vet Lorax was , he was able to lead from there. If they're gonna play " we gonna rush four", they better be creative with line stunts at times, see above. I think Shaq needs to try RE with A.J. I like Boogie inside.....IMO. They have to have Groot and Miller on the field at the same time. Looking forward to the upgraded DT play.
  16. Wouldn't it be so cool to hear the national media heads saying.."This guys unstoppable!"...at the very least a larger, stronger Jason Taylor. That's what I'm seeing. He's not Bruce Smith, but he's got Bruce to teach him.
  17. I couldn't agree more. My 2nd concern would be starting MLB and my 3rd would be expecting Taron Johnson to tackle Henry, Taylor and any other big back. Hopefully, they'll have enough sense to go 4-3 and adjust to individual opponents.
  18. Well I feel Baker is a good enough QB to take a team deep into the playoffs. To me he looked like money against KC...until KC couldn't be stopped. If he has to suck it up and play hopefully he'll have Stephanski (sp?) on his side. I really feel bad for Baker.....signed, Carson Palmer, Tim couch and Akili Smith.
  19. I don't see why some team can't give a later rd. pick and get the Browns to eat at least 75% of Baker's 18 mil. If I were planning on Davis Mills or say...Winston, I'd be thinking of pulling this off before Wadson gets suspended. I'd think someone would at least try it. What's gonna happen if Baker has ( get's forced) to play when supposedly he lost the locker room? Enter the Hoodie...
  20. LOL, 3 time losing SB QB....One more loss and he will join the truly elite.
  21. Everybody seems to be bashing A.J. I would first consider just how many snaps he had last year and then I would replay the hit on Tua which was probably the best QB hit of the entire season. He...at least to me seems very fast and with the vet leadership, I'm willing to bet the tune changes a bit this year.
  22. I heard on the radio that the Chiefs are interested and odds are good that's where he'll end up. Seems like they have an unlimited cap. Anyway, I wouldn't mind seeing McD kick the tires on Kevin King UFA Packers. He was the 33rd overall pick in 2017. 6'3 200. played both safety and cb in college with plenty of accolades. He turned 27 last week. He has dealt with injuries and unstable, inadequate coaching. With our training facilities and McD's Gurutorship, maybe he could turn into something. One year vet min should easily get it done.
  23. I think he's gonna be very good as long as he stays healthy.
  24. That's for damn sure. ESPN stats: 70 solo tackles ( tied for 28th) 4 passes defended 1 int.( 108th). That's it. That includes playoffs. CBSSports.com has complete game by game breakdown. IMO there's no way he's worth 12.7 this year and will likely be gone next year. It's been 4 yrs. I'm willing to bet if we put Bernard out there, he'd put up better production. That 12.7 could get us (just as an example), a Quinton Spain, A.J. Klein and a vet CB. Conversely K.C. 2nd rd. pick (rookie) Nick Bolton basically had identical stats. and stood out to me in the playoff game.
  25. I know how we can free up 12.7 mil.......just sayin
