Pegulas selling 25% of the Bills, per Tim Graham
McDeerInTheHeadlights replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
Even billionaires make idiotic decisions. I mean, some may argue that owning multiple entertainment businesses in one of the most economically depressed regions in the country may be one of them. There is a remote possibility that some billionaire may bite for vanity purposes alone. However, it's much more likely that any such deal will have to include the possibility to buy a majority stake some time down the road. Yet another scenario would be buying the rights to build some corollary business around the new stadium, but that would also be an idiotic decision as outlined above. -
Do The Bills Have Enough "Elite" Talent?
McDeerInTheHeadlights replied to BillsFan130's topic in The Stadium Wall
That's the reality of this roster. It's Josh and the Kalahari desert after him. -
When it comes to soccer, as far as I can remember, not many European countries get soo much snow, and those who do, like the Scandinavian and NE European countries, follow different calendars to the central and southern European ones, having their championships starting around April and finishing before the end of November.

Sources say ZERO PERCENT chance McD is fired
McDeerInTheHeadlights replied to Brand J's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's quite the opposite, actually. It's people like you who believe that only a 3-time SB winning coach in his late 30s or early 40s would be an upgrade on this HC. No one is saying that our coach is trash, but as long as this team has Josh Allen, it will be relatively easy to improve on McDermott's constant blunders. It's ridiculous how he always seems to find a way to let this team down when it really matters. -
Sources say ZERO PERCENT chance McD is fired
McDeerInTheHeadlights replied to Brand J's topic in The Stadium Wall
The same people that are totally fine with McD's recurring blunders become the most demanding perfectionists when it comes to replacing him. -
Not sure if you are purposely playing dumb or just like to state the obvious. Obviously, no one on here knows McDermott from a personal life perspective. As a public figure, he sounds more and more like the ultimate hypocrite. Preaches accountability but doesn't want any, advocates a somewhat blurry concept he calls "the process", which I guess would imply continuous improvement, yet constantly shows he refuses, can't, or is too stubborn to learn from his own mistakes. I guess that's what people are growing more frustrated with, rather than what he does behind closed doors in his private life.

McDermott weird comments about Josh Allen
McDeerInTheHeadlights replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
That's not just a lineman. It's a LT, arguably one of the top 3 most important positions in a football team. The guy in charge of protecting the fella playing the "most difficult and important position in sports". -
McDermott weird comments about Josh Allen

If 'dogs' are what we are lacking, how about sending McBeane a memo. Less choir boys and more dogs when it comes to the draft and free agency. Or does this dog thing apply to Josh only? -
McDermott weird comments about Josh Allen
McDeerInTheHeadlights replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
Just to make sure I understand your reasoning. If, in your view, Allen deserves some blame for his real or perceived lack of commitment (in spite of perhaps needing some summer rest after playing somewhat injured most of last season), I guess you would have cut a guy like Dawkins a few years ago then. I mean, as a veteran player at a premium position, he has made a habit of putting in even less off-season work. -
McDermott weird comments about Josh Allen

Allen, who, by the way, is at an earlier stage of his career, is a better QB than Diggs is a receiver. End of subject. -
Someone should remember him that the "process" is about being "humble and hungry".

Fire McDermott - 12 On the Field INEXCUSABLE
McDeerInTheHeadlights replied to WEATHER DOT COM's topic in The Stadium Wall
He is a textbook hypocrite. Preach accountability but it's only for some, and never for himself. -

You simply can't get through the entire playoffs and win a Superbowl if you routinely fall short in clutch situations. -
Sam Cowart's was one of the most unfortunate injuries of my time as a Bills fan. He was on track to become a very special player.

McDermott answers why we stopped uptempo offense
McDeerInTheHeadlights replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Perhaps it is unfair, at least to a degree, but we have reached a point where more than ever he has to ponder every single word as anything he says (and doesn't say) can do little good and plenty of harm to his cause. The reason for that is very simple: with absolute power comes absolute accountability. The cute fairytale picture of McD being the poor little gardener who is only taking care of the magnolia tree is getting harder and harder to sell. -

Have you ever listened to his post-game speeches? He is killing the collective testosterone level in the locker room with that cringe beta a** s***. -
Not only that, but since Takeo isn't the first former player or Bill of the past they invite to a game, they could have asked the previous invitees for feedbacks after their visits and made improvements accordingly. I wonder if Takeo was a victim of circumstances, being this a season opening game in which an unexpected and larger than usual number of big shots turned up, or if this is SOP.

Agreed. I'm no NFL owner but if I were, I would definitely want to have these Bills greats in my suite and do my best to pick their brain on anything football related I could, even the ongoing game itself. Not necessarily to act upon or even agree on anything they may say, just to have a different perspective from someone who knows a thing or two about the game.

Bengals release RT La’El Collins
McDeerInTheHeadlights replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall
Given the situation at RT, I think Collins is worth a closer look, but with the clear understanding that he most likely won't be able to help this season.
