  1. For what it's worth he played 9 games with 5 starts last season before being placed on IR.
  2. Weird chart. I see only 8 cornerbacks league wide rate higher but what is the unit of measure? He's at .07 what? Jackson seems like an excellent tackler too. Hmmm... agree that Taron is excellent and one of the best at his position but that discussion begins with the recognition that Taron is a slot corner. It's kind of a different position. Care to cite your source? The link states based on "40 minimum coverage snaps." I assume this implies that there are numerous snaps where the QB chose not to throw towards Benford.
  3. I'm an early riser and a big NFL fan. For non-Bills games that start at 6ish am, if I'm not tuned in right at kickoff it'll be shortly thereafter.
  4. Does Shaq's status atop Rousseau's status impact the decision to play Miller?
  5. With regard to our household, you're wrong... at least this week. Shaq Lawson? How about beer and rice krispies? There's a 945 out of 1000 chance that he will play. What's so strange about that? 😉
  6. I agree that it's not a football play and that it's pretty ugly. It came up for rules discussion this past offseason and I was surprised it wasn't eliminated. That could be. If it wasn't part of the play design it showed his excellent football instincts because he didn't have too much time to think about it.
  7. The latest on the subject is that the Giants attempted a QB push play on Thursday against the Seahawks. Not only was it unsuccessful, but two of their starters were injured on the play and did not return to the game. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/giants-attempt-at-qb-push-play-resulted-in-injuries-to-two-players "Both center John Michael Schmitz (shoulder) and tight end Daniel Bellinger (knee) exited the game. They did not return."
  8. Re the Bills post-Josh Allen, who is to say we don't find another all-time great QB? However, it's not only his excellence on the field... the thing that makes Josh a unicorn is his playing style, his character, and the way he passes every litmus test. As a player he's like a super-sized Brett Favre. Fearless and courageous yet fun-loving. Athletic and cerebral. As a person he seems too good to be true. Guys want to be him and girls want to be with him. Because of these things I think there's a connection many of us feel towards Josh that we likely won't feel towards our next great QB.
  9. Why don't you go and hang out with someone your own age... like @Old Coot...
  10. Assuming I'm alive after Josh hangs up the cleats, I'm pretty sure I'll still be a Bills fan but it will be like living in a world without color. Joe Gibbs won 3 Super Bowls with Theisman, Rypien, and Doug Williams. Parcells won 2 Super Bowls with Phil Simms and Jeff Hostetler. Parcells was a great coach but I give the nod to Gibbs.
  11. Thanks for the breakdown. I really appreciate your analysis. I still find it difficult to force myself to watch line play. There's no question that Brown is a young player who's improved. I just wonder how much better he'll get.
  12. When it's too warm for them... wait... that's not how it goes... Koho? Squish the Fish!!!
  13. Probably an easier transition to Labatt Blue Light. They call us the blurry generation... too many Canadian beers. The main culprits were the Johnny Labatt's Extra Stock and the Molson Brador
  14. Yes, anthropologists believe that this behavior is pre-columbian... back to when football was played in loin cloths. One long ass game? Also he's too commercialized. Go back to sleep... we'll let you know when the Bills win the Super Bowl. Too much information dude. Clanging and banging? Football players are attired in plastic shells, not suits of armor. You're an Old Coot... you don't even know what an RPO is. Act your age.
  15. Luckily boyst is a Ham Radio operator. Those guys know lots of abbreviations and acronyms. Yes, can someone please tell us how to feel?
  16. Two features of modern day sports packages that I particularly despise are people who feel it's necessary to physically gesticulate and/or mime the action... and those who can't speak at a normal volume and think that by shouting, they're somehow more convincing.
  17. eball, it's a matter of degree. Sports is sports because sometimes the underdog wins. It happens SOMETIMES. That's why they play the games. The fact of you making an absolute statement "doesn't happen" (bolded above) makes you wrong because of the exceptions to the rule. Witness the week 3 loss by the Cowboys to the Cardinals. After losing in the first two weeks to the Commanders and the Giants people were saying that they were tanking so they could draft Caleb Williams. The Cardinals were an 11 point underdog. They beat Dallas by 12 points. Said Dallas Star Micah Parsons, "The last two weeks we were on fire and today we came out and we got lit. … We got to take on every game like it’s the Super Bowl. We got to play up to our standard. We can’t play down to (our opponent), and that’s what I felt like we did today." There are absolutely trap games where a team underestimates their opponent. It doesn't happen often but it does happen occasionally.
