Levi Wallce buried on depth chart; if he's cut...?
Sierra Foothills replied to boyst's topic in The Stadium Wall
All true but same general idea... as an undrafted free agent Levi wasn't supposed to be a 4 year starter for the Bills. He was never supposed to be the guy. -
Trey Lance never played for the Bills.

Levi Wallce buried on depth chart; if he's cut...?
Sierra Foothills replied to boyst's topic in The Stadium Wall
Fair question. Well-constructed post. Tre White was starting to be used in press coverage more frequently before his injury. Elam is a press corner too. I believe that the transition from Frazier to McDermott will include the Bills playing less off coverage. If he came back for the veteran minimum I'd be fine with it but I doubt Levi would think that coming back to Buffalo as a depth player would be a good career decision. There were other replacement attempts... Kevin Johnson, Vontae Davis, Phillip Gaines if I recall correctly. -
I worked in fine dining in the 80's... before their was a foodie movement... before the Food Network, etc. I'm actually a pretty accomplished cook but those were destitute days and believe it or don't, i could stretch a tight grocery budget. Yeah Dinty Moore is one step up from dog food but if you know how to cook, you can actually make it palatable. ๐

Skimmed over the linked listing... it looks like the assessed value is only $570K and monthly property tax payments are $3200. Edit: Redfin has property taxes at $2900/month.

Ditalini is the pasta used in Pasta Fagiola. I used to make a similar meal with Progresso Lentil Soup and Ditalini. I also did a rice dish based on Dinty Moore Beef Stew... add water and rice, a few onions and simmer it covered until the rice is cooked... good makeshift bachelor food from the college days.

McDermott "officially" calling D plays

Can you send us an audition video? Also an audio recording with a decibel meter would be helpful. -
This should be fun. Mike Clay:

Who's upset? In the second half of last year the Buffalo News reported that Davis was playing through a thumb injury... FWIW. -
Bills claim DE Kameron Cline off waivers from Indy
Sierra Foothills replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
He beat Luke Tenuta on the play simply by lining up wide. Tenuta just couldn't get there and his hand fighting was too late. Thanks for posting. -

Isaiah Simmons might be an answer for the Bills at MLB
Sierra Foothills replied to gjv's topic in The Stadium Wall
Isaiah Simmons? I've heard of him!!! (sorry... couldn't resist) -
Exactly... there's no way Kincaid isn't a better blocker than 95% of the slot receivers in the league just based on being a good athlete who is 50 lbs heavier than most of them. A better question would be is if he's a better blocker than Gabriel Davis (our best blocking WR who is big for a wideout).

Nick Foles...Better Backup or Keep the Bromance
Sierra Foothills replied to Wizard's topic in The Stadium Wall
And I disagree with the OPs premise that Foles is big and strong. He is tall though. As mentioned upthread Foles would cost more and this team is tight to the cap. I'm skeptical Foles would justify the greater cost. It depends on how many games he misses. Agreed. -
At least in short yardage and goal line situations this would be nice. I recall fondly the days of Ted Washington and Pat Williams.
-
Not to mention he slowed down at the end of the play AND, he's wearing football equipment. Kincaide's other recurringly mentioned attribute is his run after the catch ability.

And as much as we joke about Belichick being the wizard of compensatory picks, the Ravens are the actual masters of that. Even though they didn't have any this year they still have the most compensatory picks (55) since the system was instituted in 1994. It's so funny to me that so many still harbor this dream. That is interesting. Good point. ๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐ Funny stuff guys... thank you.

Belichick Screws Jets on Draft Day
Sierra Foothills replied to bobobonators's topic in The Stadium Wall
Wow. The specific allegation is that he could have gotten a 3rd for the swap but took a 4th to screw the Jets. LOL. What is your definition of "admirable?" Yes, Belichick benched Malcolm Butler (the hero of the Super Bowl 2 years earlier... the Russ Wilson goal-line INT) for Super Bowl LII after Butler had played nearly 98% of the snaps during the regular season and 100% of the snaps during the playoffs. Apparently Belichick and Matt Patricia had a practice disagreement with Butler during the week. The Cheatriots*** subsequently lost to the Eagles 41-33. Good job Bill... you showed Butler. -

RD 2, Pick 59: G OโCyrus Torrence, Florida
Sierra Foothills replied to SDS's topic in The Stadium Wall
Thankfully he's not "one of those guys." From "The Beast:" ... weighed over 420 pounds when he started high school and completely changed his nutrition and life habits to carry a comfortable weight... A massive but lean-muscled blocker Also it's pretty obvious from still photos and video that he's not fat. https://buffalowdown.com/2023/04/28/buffalo-bills-2023-nfl-draft-grade-ocyrus-torrence/
