  1. Don’t get me wrong, Lamar is a great QB. 30 teams would love to have him. He just has a playoff problem. He had like 5 TOs on the season and 2 in the playoffs. His career TD/TO ratio in the postseason is less than 2.
  2. They voted around Thanksgiving. at that point, the MVP debate was alive and well.
  3. There’s something comical about “it’s just two turnovers” when that’s like the 2 biggest plays of the game? No one good should be afraid of Lamar in the postseason. He’s no higher than the 3rd best postseason QB in his own conference.
  4. He did that last year.
  5. It was written by ChatGPT
  6. Some fans lack perspective. There’s absolutely a contingent of Ravens fans who think Harbaugh should be on a hot seat. And just like McD, it’s not because he’s a terrible coach, but because they feel something needs to change and ignite the team. Especially when they are probably have the most talent compared to their contemporaries, the Bills and the Chiefs, but can’t beat either in the postseason.
  7. Because there’s a lot of red flags surrounding him the same reason Joey Bosa had to take a moderate 1 year deal
  8. He is going to be cut next year imo.
  9. Lamar Jackson plays much worse than Josh Allen in the playoffs. It’s not even a comparison.
  10. “Still almost blew it?” Could you imagine writing those words about a McD Super Bowl? ”They almost lost (but didn’t and actually won.)” bah
  11. He barely made the team
  12. ??? Lawrence was nasty in college and won the Natty his first season starting. he hasn’t been consistently great at the NFL level, but he delivered in college. Arch has a long way to go to get to Trevor’s level it appears
  13. I was never the biggest fan of his game. He was like a Jamal Adams lite. I think he has value used correctly but I’m not banging on the table for him. I’m not sure his skillset is what we are missing. imo, the Bills need the FS they can trust in the center of the field.
  14. They extended him week 1 of 2023. He never came close to hitting FA. which is the larger point. Chris Jones was never available to get. If your point is “I’d rather have Chris Jones than Micah Parsons,” my counterpoint is that I’d rather have 26 year old Aaron Donald riding a unicorn than either of them. But the choice was never Chris Jones vs Micah Parsons, the choice was what we have now vs Micah Parsons.
  15. Teams with Pro Bowl QBs don’t trade them away because they aren’t Josh Allen.
  16. It’s not drafting well lol. Knox, Samuel, and AJE have $10M more of a cap hit than Micah does this year. We paid Diggs top end WR money and expected him to be here Josh through 2026. How were we planning to do that? It’s frankly absurd at this point. We can’t afford DK, we can’t afford Micah. The reason we can’t afford any other stars that become available is because we prioritize spending that money on 4 quarters trying to make a dollar. We give guys like Larry O $10M. And who knows. Maybe the Bills are right to do it that way. But please stop pretending that was the only option.
  17. You seem to think it’s luck that the Packers didn’t give Watson Shakir money. I’m saying it’s the trade off. Sometimes there’s a benefit to keeping your powder dry instead of throwing every last dollar at every single depth piece at the first opportunity. the Packers could’ve signed a couple Josh Palmer/Joey Bosa/Larry O, Michael Hoect tier FAs this offseason. They had the money to do so. They did not. And they had the space to make a Parsons move. That’s just a fact.
  18. They gave Zach Tom an $88M extension this offseason. The real difference if you want to get into the nitty gritty is they don’t have a bunch of bad contracts eating up their 2025 space. Knox, Samuel and AJE basically cover Micah’s 2025 cap hit with about $10M to spare. Which is a big yikes, but nothing you can do about it now. Anyway, I don’t agree that it’s luck. The Bills chose to give Benford, Bernard, Rousseau and Cook extensions this offseason. They did so because of the benefit of getting them potentially cheaper than when they were going to hit FA. In return, they sacrificed their financial flexibility to add a player like Parsons if they ever shook free. That’s how it works. Once you extend a Rousseau, you HAVE to pay him. They could have chosen not to, and they didn’t.
  19. The GM is paid in part to predict the NFL landscape. We spend every offseason discussing options of names that may be available. Somehow, the Packers GM managed to sit on his hands enough to have the space to absorb Parsons. The downside to extending all those young dudes earlier was that we tied up all our finances to make a move like this next to impossible. That’s a choice the GM made.
  20. Honestly I think it’s because teams do everything they can to cut down access to protect their brands. The NYG offseason Hard Knocks was the most interesting in a few years at least, and it got made fun of so much on social media that it will never come back.
  21. Any player could get hurt. Josh Allen could get hurt and never return to form, but I don’t think paying him was some gigantic gamble. There’s gonna be expectations, and we’ll see if they can live up to them, but I don’t know where “blowing up in their face” exists. They are a solid team with a good QB and good HC, with or without Micah, and that’s good enough for about 90% of their success no matter what Micah does.
  22. We could have, just would need to get creative.
  23. I would have done Oliver, 2 firsts and a second.
