  1. Yep, he's the #1 RB on most boards and to think he falls to almost the end of the first round is a pipe dream. I'll say it now...the only way we get him is if we trade up and that would be ill-advised considering what it would probably cost and what little draft picks we have this year as it is.
  2. That's why we need a strong WR2 across from Diggs.
  3. Rasheen Rice is my first choice in receiver and there's a much better chance of him being there than Robinson. Robinson is the #1 RB prospect in this year's draft on most boards, so doubtful we are the first team to take a RB at #27, especially one of the talent you say he is. We can improve the O-line and sign a back like Raheem Mostert for cheap to share time with Cook and our backfield is fine. Our WR corp is not and any of great FA WRs are going to cost more than we can afford.
  4. We are primarily a passing offense. It makes no sense taking a RB in the first round. A true WR2 would make Josh that much better. Teams roll coverage towards Diggs and always have a safety over the top of him because they don't respect anyone else and others not named Diggs have a problem getting open. Our line was absolutely atrocious against Cincy and Miami was bringing heat almost the whole game with the box stacked, so don't know what you expected Cook or Motor to do. You're pretty much making my point for me.
  5. Downs is a talent but he's really a slot guy though. Not sure we need that. If none of the top guys are there, I'd rather trade out of the first and get more picks.
  6. I see plenty of good OL outside the first. There's but only a couple elite O-line this year, so there's plenty of talent to be had in the second and even the third.
  7. Seeing him first round in many draft projections. Him or Rice are my preference there. Outside of those two, all the other top prospects are really slot guys and I highly doubt any of them would drop all the way down to us in the second.
  8. Help for Josh opposite Diggs is a must. I'd like to see a lot of Rice or Boutte opposite Diggs and Shakir in the slot next season. If all the top prospect WRs are gone when we get to #27, I'd rather trade out of the first round and get another pick or two and maybe get one of the higher ranked OT's or perhaps a linebacker with one of these picks assuming Edmunds walks. Torrence is potentially Poyer's replacement and with Damar's future up in the air, we need help at Safety. Wooden is to replace Oliver, who I'd rather seen traded for whatever we can get for him. His salary vs production is ridiculous. Turner is simply some more help for our Corners since we have questions with Tre and Dane is not the star Romo thinks he is. Would love to see us sign Mostert and have him and Cook in the backfield.
  9. I'd much rather have Mostert than Perine. Mostert has impressed over the last few seasons (especially against us this year) and he's an extremely hard runner who breaks a lot of tackles and has breakaway speed. Perine has been in the league since 2017 and really never showed me anything. I'm actually surprised Mostert's value is listed so low. If we can get him between $2M to $3M, that would be a good move, IMO.
  10. Nothing in the Bills run game changes until the O-line changes. Behind a better line, Cook is more than a serviceable player. Using our first-round pick on a RB makes no sense for us. We need a true WR2 opposite Diggs and Shakir in the slot.
  11. Sanders would cost us more than Motor would. Sanders also runs behind Philly's #1 ranked O-line.
  12. Yep, and Brady, the MVP of the game, made quick work of the Chiefs D.
  13. I'd rather see a WR in the 1st to be honest but if all the first-round WR projections are gone, it might be an option for us to try and trade out of the first round and pick up an additional pick or two. I'd rather do that than have them reach on a pick for no reason. Lots of O-Line talent to be had beyond the first round.
  14. 1. The way both Beane and McD talked, I'd be shocked if Dorsey didn't return. 2. Agreed 3. Assuming Dorsey is back, we need to incorporate the slot position and the short to medium pass game back into this offense. The lack of throws to the slot, which were a staple of this offense under Daboll with Beasley is glaringly missing and that was always a dependable outlet for Josh if he had to scramble. And just as you said, we need to get the backs more involved in the passing game because right now, they're an afterthought. 4. I'd prefer to get one of the top prospect WRs in the first round (Rice or Boutte) for a true WR2. Plenty of good O-Line to be had in the second and later.
  15. Roger that. Yeah, it is. Still not sure if he falls to us.
  16. Nice write up. So where does the draft fit into this? What says we have to fix the O-Line through FA?
  17. A lot of fans aren't willing to be patient. The FO and HC are. Their opinions are really the only ones that matter here.
  18. The lack of use of the slot/shorter to mid routes like what we came to know for so long with the Josh to Beasley connection is probably what surprised me the most this season. We became almost a feast or famine offense in that regard since that aspect of the offense all but vanished.
  19. If he thinks he can get Roquan money he should go for it, but at the same time, not expect to play for the Bills next season.
  20. Most people (including me) were fine with Dorsey taking over after Dabs left because we all thought he was a Dabs clone and they wouldn't skip a beat. What we thought and what we actually got were two completely different things. Hope he can figure it out soon.
  21. Bills nostalgia causes many people to not stay focused on the present and the team we actually have. This all stems from the 90s Bills with Kelly and Co., back when we actually had an O-line and a running game that other teams feared.
  22. Will the Bills new stadium have this new, "cutting edge" turf I wonder? Heard they are trying to go with natural grass, which is a mistake, IMO. Games like the one against Cincy, where it's just above freezing and there was wet snow/slushy conditions on the field, will turn it into a muddy mess, not to mention the obvious in rain. I
  23. So that was a breakdown of Cincy's D then. Still not seeing how that's a ringing endorsement of NE's D when they gave up almost 450 yards, 22 points, and allowed Cincy to hold the ball for almost 37 minutes. Again, we scored 10 points and Cincy held the ball less time against our D, so it wasn't a matter of TOP. It was a matter of us not doing anything with the ball when we had it. Cincy ran more plays (78 to 71), had more yards (442 to 412) and had a greater TOP (36:48 to 33:54) against NE's D than against ours, so the claim that we somehow win that game (with the reason being TOP) if we had NEs defense against Cincy rather than our own is just not supported by anything.
  24. Kyle Brandt was trying to talk Josh into going, but Josh said he had other stuff going on and mentioned golf, but he'd think about it. Sounds like he didn't have to think long. 😂 Sounds like most players (the good ones anyway) would rather stay home and wash their cat than go to this thing now.
  25. Gotta keep that string of taking defense in the first round intact I guess, eh?
