  1. That's basically the opposite argument though. Bengals got hot at the right time last season. We'd be having to talk about how the Ravens were hot right now and they certainly aren't. They backed into the playoffs and Cincy beat them fairly easily last week.
  2. Reports are he had surgery Monday but was out of practice today as most people would assume. Not looking good for Sunday. I don't know how effectively a RB can play with 1 hand in a cast anyway. Wouldn't have to worry about him catching the ball and can only really carry in one arm. Would be ripe for a turnover.
  3. Yep, the Bills beating themselves is the only way the Fish have a chance here. Bills are clearly the more talented.
  4. Not saying the fish won't be able to run because they certainly were able to last game, but if Mostert is a no-go, that's better for us. Wilson is a capable back, but not the same IMO.
  5. I didn't mean to imply that meant playing for any particular team...just being able to return to the field period.
  6. All depends on what version of the Bills O shows up. If it's the one that struggles to get the ball in the endzone, or worse, keeps turning the ball over in the redzone, they certainly are beatable. If it's the Bills O that has looked unstoppable at several points throughout the season, you're going to need a Mahomes or Burrow there. The return of the long ball last week looks very promising.
  7. I don't know what's going on with Lamar. Maybe he's decided he's done with Baltimore. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2023/01/11/report-lamar-jackson-not-looking-good-for-sunday/
  8. Yeah, all Wilson really did there really was effectively manage the game and manage not to lose it for them.
  9. I think you've been sneaking some of that N2O @teefhas saved for after the game.
  10. If he's in a non-contact jersey today, I see the likelihood of that being pretty low. Not saying I wouldn't welcome it though.
  11. Teddy might be available, just depends how available. Probably expect Skylar to start with the possibility of Teddy being emergency QB or depending on the finger, come in if Skylar lays an egg. Says he's working to be available. https://www.cbssports.com/fantasy/football/news/dolphins-teddy-bridgewater-working-to-be-available-vs-bills/
  12. Noooo!! My nerves can't handle that, especially against the fish and backup QB, lol. Get a nice lead early and give our starters a break. Best possible outcome.
  13. That's the best possible scenario right there, but I'm going to assume that doesn't happen so I can be pleasantly surprised if it does.
  14. I think a lot of that depends on if Mostert is able to play. He had surgery on Monday from what was reported and was out of practice today. Wilson is a capable back, but I don't think he's necessarily in the same category as Mostert. I'm sure they'll most likely start in their base Nickel and see how it goes.
  15. I'd be praying for a miracle and cheering my butt off for the Fish (yuck)!!! And the league gift wrapped them a bye so I don't know what they're on about.
  16. Man, ya'll seriously trying to jinx us, aren't ya? LOL
  17. All depends on what we can get him for. Chase and Higgins share the vast majority of catches in Cincy (both over 1K yards) with Tyler Boyd at WR3 putting up basically what we get out of Davis. I can imagine they'd want more than we could realistically offer, but like Beane said regarding OBJ, he always takes a look, so I don't count anything out until he says flat-out says they're out.
  18. To be fair, I believe the Doc that cleared Tua was fired after that mess. I don't really blame the coach if the docs told them he was good to go.
  19. Any updates on Waddle? I'm assuming he plays. No matter who's back there at QB, it only takes one catch for Waddle or Hill to score on any given play if they find an opening. That's why I'm not underestimating this game.
  20. Oh, by no means did I mean to infer you were, but the temptation is certainly there. Cheers to the lucky underwear. But how lightly exactly? Pounds? Ounces?
  21. Makes sense to me. On all the 3rd down passes for a first, I remember very few that were right at the sticks. Seems they were always at least a few yards past if not more. Could be by design. The defense knows were the line to gain is, so if they are potentially looking at receivers making cuts there to pick up the first, they might be getting caught a little off guard when they go past that.
  22. All the more reason to not take the game lightly, IMO. We don't need to be on the wrong side of Monday morning headlines.
  23. Not expecting him to have to hit anyone just isn't realistic. Covering and hitting go hand-in-hand.
  24. And they go through contact in training camp and in the preseason. Hyde hasn't been hit since September and had neck surgery in October. How much time elapsed between Tre being activated and him playing?
