  1. I've got to assume Beas is going to get playing time this post season. Otherwise, there was no point bringing him back.
  2. Don't see a different outcome between the Ravens and Bengals than what we just watched last week. Not sure what's going on with Lamar. We may never see him in a Ravens uni again.
  3. I think there would be huge league repercussions if that somehow ever happened. McDaniel literally said today that doctors haven't cleared him to resume football activities.
  4. RIght, but I'd still rather see Beas or Crowder than McK.
  5. I don't understand what you're saying. Being medically cleared to practice is drastically different than playing a game. Ask Tre. He's in a non-contact jersey today.
  6. I'm sure he has, but all that changes once you start adding contact back into the equation. He'll have to gauge how he feels once that starts. From what I saw you posted, he's in a non-contact jersey today.
  7. Yeah, I don't think the docs would do that. If he's medically cleared, he is. It's just a matter of being in game shape, taking hits, and knocking the rust off.
  8. I recall he's been working out, but there's just nothing quite like playing in games. Make no mistake, I would love to see him back, but I just don't want to be seeing a whole bunch of disappointed folks if he doesn't.
  9. Man, stop jinxing us, lol. Especially against Skylar Thompson.
  10. Being medically cleared to return to practice and actually being in game shape and ready to play in a game are two very different things. Look at how many weeks Tre was practicing before actually returning.
  11. LMAO, if we brought Hughes back, we literally WOULD be getting the band back together. Texans would have to straight-up cut him though.
  12. Weird because you literally said I was telling people what to do.
  13. Don't disagree one bit with his toughness. As you just told me what to do. Gotcha.
  14. Not taking contact since September is a long time. I'm cautiously optimistic he's able to play and make a difference for us in this playoff run.
  15. Where did I ever say there's anything wrong with people hoping he plays? Do you have a habit of putting words in people's mouths? I simply said people need to temper expectations.
  16. Yes, he very well may, but people need to remember...what he's trying to comeback from is think maybe unprecedented to return the same season. He went down on Sept 24th. Being in game ready shape and ready for contact still remains to be seen. I'm just saying...people need to temper expectations here.
  17. If you understand what kind of problem he's coming back from you already know why.
  18. Right. While I think it's awesome he's made this kind of recovery, people need to pump the breaks a bit and realize this doesn't mean he will play for us in the playoffs. To go through what he's gone through and come back in the same season maybe unprecedented. Even if he is able to play, how effective would he be? We definitely need to temper expectations.
  19. That's fantastic news. The million-dollar question is how effective would they be at this point after being out for so long? I still look at both of them as next season guys. I'd love to be wrong though.
  20. Simpson ranks as the #3 prospect at inside backer. What makes anyone think he'd still be there by the time we're up? Supposedly he has a 40-inch vertical and runs a 4.4 at 6' 3" and 225 lbs. I'd be shocked if he was still on the board at the end of the first round. Our biggest needs going into this draft are WR and OL. We need to get serious about getting the face of the franchise the protection and weapons he needs instead of crossing our fingers and hoping for the best with an average O-Line and guys like Davis at WR2. If we are trying to get a legit WR2, we may have to look at FA or trade given our draft position, but who knows.
  21. Whatever they do, whether it's through the draft, free agency, or trade, we need to be constantly reminded we are in our window NOW and it's not going to be this way forever. Davis is not the guy at WR2 IMO and is more of a WR3 given his numbers and especially given how much we throw the ball. His numbers are more on par with Tyler Boyd, Cincy's WR3, than a WR2. Can we expect to get a legit WR2 out of the draft considering 6 WRs were already off the board in the first 18 picks in last year's draft? I see that same trend continuing. Would we be spending a first-round pick on what's not first-round talent if we take a WR there? Obviously, we won't know who could potentially fall to later in the first round until draft day, but we need to not use a first-round pick on a WR if it's not first-round talent. I would rather see them use it on OL there. Some folks in the thread have made some interesting suggestions that would be worth looking into from free agency. Whether Beane would consider trading for someone like Hopkins and what that would cost remains to be seen. OBJ is still out there too, even though I think that train has already left the station.
