  1. The strange part is that at the beginning of the season, it didn't seem like that. If Josh went deep, good chance it was one-on-one coverage and the receiver had steps on the DB. As the season progressed though, it started feeling like Josh was trying to force the ball into coverage much more often, relying on his arm strength trying to thread the needle and rifle the ball into a window that just wasn't there. It's like he was having a relapse and couldn't resist the urge.
  2. This is true, but I also think Dorsey's playcalling plays into that. Just a year prior under Daboll, Beasley was one of Josh's favorite targets. This year, whether it was Crowder, McK, Shakir, or even Beas when Beane brought him back, seems the looks to the slot receiver were next to nothing. If Daboll were still running the offense, I just don't see that as the case.
  3. Agree with all. The biggest thing to me more than anything is we need consistency out of that position and Gabe is anything but. If we are truly trying to get a guy there that will pull some attention off of Diggs, it has to be someone that other team's actually have to worry about. Even with Gabe's big play capability, I don't think teams really worried about him as much as they would if he were a WR that was known for his ability to get open and then complete the catch on a consistent basis.
  4. I'm with you 100% there, but Beane didn't give me any warm and fuzzies the way he was talking about Gabe today. Seems like they're still of the opinion Gabe is going to start acting like a true #2 any day now.
  5. I hear you and I do believe Dorsey's playcalling seems like it feeds Josh's bad habits at times. I think Daboll would certainly do a better job with reeling Josh back in if he gets into that hero ball mindset. I saw this tweet and I found it interesting. Now I know there can be many different factors that go into this, but I can't help but believe Dorsey's playcalling was a major contributing factor here.
  6. Just playing Devil's Advocate... I see what you're saying, but if Daboll were promoted to HC, there's probably a good chance Dorsey winds up as OC anyway in that scenario. I get that Daboll would be there to oversee it all, but it could've worked out that way.
  7. I'm right there with ya, 😂. A real server meltdown 😂
  8. If you even hear Goodell's mouth start to say, "WIth the 27th pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, the Buffalo Bills select..." Defensive,... Linebacker,... Cornerback,... Safety,.... This place is going to spontaneously combust.
  9. Let me just preface this by saying that I don't believe McD will be fired and I don't think he should be fired especially considering I don't like the HC candidates that are out there. I'm curious though to hear what people think about where this team would be had drastic moves been made after 13 seconds...both McD and Frazier were let go, and Daboll were promoted to HC rather than going to the G-Men. Would the team have been better off this season and going forward? Yes or No and why?
  10. Seems like Dorsey doesn't use a lot of our players properly. I still don't know why the brought Beas back. Use of the slot WR was like night and day difference between Daboll and Dorsey. Very true. If they don't seriously address the O-line and do something to get attention off Diggs, nothing will be any different than this year and who's in the backfield will make no difference whatsoever.
  11. Sounds a lot to me like he's definitely trying to lessen expectations going into next season. I'm really hoping it's just a matter of him trying to play his cards close to his chest, but it certainly wasn't inspiring a lot of hope or optimism that they have the ability or the willingness to fix the problems this team has right now.
  12. Why would he have to say that? He could be just like you and basically claim we beat ourselves, despite the fact we were physically dominated (and out coached) up and down the field.
  13. Tells me they aren't comfortable with Tua's status going forward. We have no idea what's really going on with him. He could up and retire for all we know. Multiple concussions are not something to mess around with. Doctors may be telling him it's not wise to keep playing.
  14. Is the guy his nephew or something and we just don't know it? lol
  15. You're entitled to your opinion, but I think it's one that's clearly in the minority here. Beane himself today said he think the Bills are behind both Cincy and KC in the AFC.
  16. Thanks for that. I'll find it on Youtube and watch it in a bit. "Sees the Bills as now behind the Bengals and Chiefs in the AFC"...at least he's not in denial and knows he has work to do. If he's willing to give Edmunds what he'll demand on the open market, he's basically doing a defacto Von Miller signing. Was Brown the only O-line position he talked about because they've got a lot more problems than just him. Sounds like Dorsey's job is safe, unless there's something we don't know. I hope he doesn't confuse thinking Gabe CAN turn it around with Gabe WILL turn it around and not take that into consideration going into the draft. That's the exact kind of thinking that got us into trouble with Gabe this year...thinking he's something he's not. Is he willing to burn another year of Josh's career to find out? How much more time does Gabe need here, seriously? We don't need a receiver that makes big plays sometimes but is not dependable the rest of the time. We need a consistent and legit WR2 that can take some of the attention off Diggs. Nothing about Frazier? Again, thanks for the rundown.
  17. At the end of the day, whether you want to attribute it to coaching, talent, weather, or just luck, the Bills were beaten and beaten badly on both sides of the ball. The final score isn't even a good indication of how bad they got beat and if they played again tomorrow, I'm not expecting a different outcome because the Bills are still more than likely to get owned in the trenches again. I have no reason to believe otherwise.
  18. Rodgers is still a good QB and I don't want the Jets getting him, Brady, or Lamar.
  19. So you're saying they have more coaching talent than we do? If so, that's as big a factor in winning or losing as physical talent is. Taking the totality of the two, it was clear to me at least that Cincy is the better team.
  20. Yes, there is a problem with that. To push a conspiracy that basically says, "we never say Damar's face, so he must be dead", besides being ridiculous, is extremely hurtful and disrespectful to him and his family. You're also calling them liars. And based on what? You couldn't see his face? Seriously?
  21. Is coaching talent not just as much a part of the game as physical talent and is a factor included in the evaluation of a team's overall talent level? Do you think the Bills would've been basically unanimous favorites coming into this season if those people making those calls though our coaching staff were a bunch of idiots? It's all factored into that grade. The Bills were also dominated at the LOS on both sides of the ball. When the Cincy defenders were getting pressure with just a 4 or even a 3-man rush, that's more than just getting out coached. There's physical talent involved there. When our defensive line is getting blown off the ball and we can't stop the run even when we know they're running it, that's not just being out coached. There's a physical talent factor there. Ditto with not being able to get pressure on the opposing QB. As McD said, this game starts with the trenches and when you are losing that battle badly on both sides of the ball, it's not just coaching.
  22. Good post. Use the regular season for what it's for...to punch your ticket to the post season. Play your best and get the highest seed possible because the higher the seed, the better the perks, but never confuse regular season success with any guarantee of anything in the postseason. The 16-0 Patriots didn't win a championship. If they fall short of their expectations in the postseason, try and determine why they did, factor in (like they have to with Cincy) what weaknesses were exposed and try to correct those things to the best of their ability. Cincy and KC aren't going away, and we've got other teams not far behind who are looking to knock us off the top of the division.
  23. LMAO, whatever that's supposed to mean. I think you're wound a little too tight there, fella.
  24. I think Cincy laid bare the problems this team has on both sides of the ball. It all comes out in the wash regardless because it would all come down to playing them or KC to win the Conference anyway. Those teams were still going to be there standing in our way regardless. I think that we need to come to the realization that we aren't the most talented team. We are a very talented team, but not the most talented. We just got thoroughly beaten by a more talented team and it showed. If Miller and Hyde were on the field in that game, would they have been a factor? Probably, but I think we still lose. We were getting dominated at the LOS on both sides of the ball and I don't think Miller or Hyde changes that. I don't recall ever seeing the hype around this team going into the season essentially as unanimous SB favorites and frankly, I don't like it. Yes, it gets them talked about relentlessly on the sports opinion shows, but I rather us get less mention, be low key, and just go on with taking care of business. It's all just added pressure they don't need and just leads to a bigger letdown when it doesn't happen. We'll never know about what might have been, because that's how this game and life in general works. All you can do is take what you have and do your best with that. Unfortunately for the Bills, their best this year wasn't enough. Now we are at the point where they try to figure out what went wrong and try to make the right improvements so they can hopefully take it to the next level next season. We all have our opinions on how that should be done, but in the end, the organization needs to figure that out for themselves and do what they think is right and what that looks like, just like they do at the end of every season.
