  1. You said Cook can't break arm tackles then claim Mostert is in the same mold. You've clearly never watched Mostert play and it shows.
  2. Yep, huge disconnect between Beane and Dorsey on that front. The GM is drafting and trading for players that he describes a dual threat and notes their receiving capabilities, but then the OC doesn't incorporate that into the offense whatsoever. Which leads to the greater question...how can a GM draft weapons for this offense when he and the OC are so far apart? You never answered the question and it's obvious why.
  3. You're denying our offensive line was God awful and ranked near the bottom of the league? So tell us..how many carries is a rookie RB2, playing in a Ken Dorsey offense, on a Sean McDermott team supposed to have per game? I'm going to keep asking this question until you answer it. I'd love to see them sign Raheem Mostert.
  4. Between the two of us, it obvious I'm the only one that actually has looked at his game stats and there's literally not a single game where he had 2 carries for 18 yards. The only game he did was the Bengals game, which didn't even count. So tell us..how many carries is a rookie RB2, playing in a Ken Dorsey offense, on a Sean McDermott team supposed to have per game?
  5. Name these games where he had 2 carries for 18 yards to "juice" his ypc. You're just making things up as you go along now. Our O-Line sucked. It's literally ranked in the bottom quarter of the entire league.
  6. Cook was a rookie playing RB2 in an offense with a rookie OC, who clearly had a pass first philosophy, under a HC who has shown a reluctance to play rookies on a consistent basis. Cook's playing time steadily increased as the season went on and he did fine.
  7. Trying to compare QB rating to yards per carry for a RB is a laughable comparison. You said he was a bust and you provided nothing to back it up. You therefore literally have no argument. Nobody said anything about him going to Canton so great job killing that strawman.
  8. In what world is 5.7 yds/c a bust?
  9. Players like him with elite talent who just flush their careers down the toilet make me ill. I know he was getting older, but to go out the way he did was just ridiculous.
  10. All I know is I would hate my parents forever if they named me after cheap cologne.
  11. Yeah, hard pass. He's like a Doug Flutie without the Doug Flutie, lol.
  12. He lets the ball get into him. Instead of catching the ball clean with his hands away from his body, he catches it closer to his body, where it's more likely there will be interaction between the ball and his body/pads. His fundamentals are lacking. I don't know what Hall has been doing with him, but that needs to change. On high balls, he also waits for the ball to come to him, catching it with feet on the ground instead of going up to get it at the highest point he can. That allows smaller DBs to make plays on the ball. Gabe is 6' 2" but doesn't hardly ever use his height advantage.
  13. The Bills need to focus on building players from the draft. High-priced FAs or trades where they take on high salary guys just isn't a sustainable model. We can address some positions from FA, but those would be fairly cheap compared to what we would have to pay Donald.
  14. I think Rice is realistically the best we can hope for there that actually addresses a need. He definitely won't be there in the Second and if we are looking for a weapon who can potentially contribute immediately, he's probably the best bet. Plenty of OL to be had in the following rounds.
  15. We don't rely on him to run the ball. His running ability is part of his identity and has always been going back to his high school days. You take that away, you no longer have a Josh Allen. You simply have a pocket passer with a strong arm. Josh's threat as a runner is what makes him the wildcard he is and one of the hardest QBs to gameplan against because he's a threat to beat you with his arm or his legs. Most of Josh's runs are not on designed runs. They're him scrambling after either pass protection breaks down or not finding an open receiver. Give him the protection he needs and the weapons he needs to throw to, and he doesn't have to run as much.
  16. How is it that you don't think the Bills can get one of the top O-line or WR prospects but can somehow get the #1 ranked RB in the draft at #27?
  17. How is Marv Levy, a HOFer, #10 with a .615 winning % and four consecutive AFC Titles? And Bum Phillips #1? He never reached the SB and was 82–77 (.516) in the regular season.
  18. How about we just hire the ghost of Buddy Ryan as our DC and bring back the 46? 😂
  19. Yeah, every board I've seen. I didn't want to claim every because there would be that guy who would find one he wasn't and say I was wrong, lol. I'm not denying how good he is. In fact, if he does somehow fall to us, Beane is going to have to think hard about it, but in no way should we trade up to get him like you said.
  20. I'd like to keep Hines because I think he'd have a place here, but not for what he's making. If he was willing to take less, I be all for it.
  21. Yep, he's the #1 RB on most boards and to think he falls to almost the end of the first round is a pipe dream. I'll say it now...the only way we get him is if we trade up and that would be ill-advised considering what it would probably cost and what little draft picks we have this year as it is.
  22. That's why we need a strong WR2 across from Diggs.
  23. Rasheen Rice is my first choice in receiver and there's a much better chance of him being there than Robinson. Robinson is the #1 RB prospect in this year's draft on most boards, so doubtful we are the first team to take a RB at #27, especially one of the talent you say he is. We can improve the O-line and sign a back like Raheem Mostert for cheap to share time with Cook and our backfield is fine. Our WR corp is not and any of great FA WRs are going to cost more than we can afford.
  24. We are primarily a passing offense. It makes no sense taking a RB in the first round. A true WR2 would make Josh that much better. Teams roll coverage towards Diggs and always have a safety over the top of him because they don't respect anyone else and others not named Diggs have a problem getting open. Our line was absolutely atrocious against Cincy and Miami was bringing heat almost the whole game with the box stacked, so don't know what you expected Cook or Motor to do. You're pretty much making my point for me.
  25. Downs is a talent but he's really a slot guy though. Not sure we need that. If none of the top guys are there, I'd rather trade out of the first and get more picks.
