  1. That's not what Beane and McD are talking about. They said they're fine with him running, but he needs to not take unnecessary hits like where he lowers his shoulder and delivers a hit when just running out of bounds or sliding is the better option. Beane was on Green Light with Chris Long and specifically mentioned the Vikings game after he injured his elbow against the Jets. Docs said he'd likely miss 1-3 weeks. Josh said he could play that week and the Doc said he'd only clear him if Josh agreed to protect himself. Beane said 2nd quarter he's running, already had the first down at midfield and instead of sliding, lowers his shoulder against an oncoming Safety. Those are the unnecessary hits they're talking about.
  2. Yep, I kind of figured as soon as I heard Daq was out for that game we'd have issues against the run. Daq and Ford in the middle will make it much harder for teams to run inside against us, which was a true weak spot in this defense.
  3. Lower center of gravity and with that kind of weight will be hard for a OL to get leverage and move him out of the way.
  4. If you replace the statistically worst rated guard in the league doesn't take much to improve.
  5. Backup? He started 15 games for the Cowboys in 2022. He has a 93.1% pass block win rate compared to the disaster that was Saffold.
  6. Saffold was rated the worst starting guard in the league last year. Just having him not there this season is an improvement.
  7. The guy considered the best in the business (Travis Kelce) had 67 catches, 862 yards and five TDs, not to mention 4 fumbles (3 lost) his rookie season. Let's not place any unrealistic expectations on Kincaid please.
  8. Yep, look at the SB. That beastly Philly pass rush who led the league in sacks by 15 over the next closest team looked helpless in the 2nd half against the Chiefs. You're rarely going to dominate the Chiefs defensively. You just have to hope for some bad passes and key stops here and there and aim to outscore them. That's what we did when we beat them in their house this past season. The focus needs to be getting points on the board and not on trying to build a defense that's going to stop them because you won't.
  9. He's not a traditional TE and isn't going to be used like one in this offense. Comparing him to past Bills TE's who were traditional TE's doesn't really make sense here.
  10. I think a lot of Kincaid's (and Knox's for that matter) success or lack thereof this season hinges tremendously on Ken Dorsey. In an offense that creates the mismatches like Beane talked about and almost dictates coverages to the Defense, I think the sky is the limit. It's really up to Dorsey to make it happen. The O-line should be better than last season and with a weapon like Kincaid, some of the focus should be off Diggs.
  11. Beane already said they aren't in competition with each other. If Kincaid isn't going to be used on the line, while Knox continues to play the traditional TE role, Dawson still stays TE1 regardless.
  12. They're better at the undrafted guys than the drafted guys.
  13. That's the fun part. You have to then deduce from Beane's response what the question was.😅
  14. Tremendous value to get him in the second. Never thought that would be possible.
  15. Saw several mocks with us taking him in the first. Great value IMO.
  16. Great value. Many mocks had us taking him in the first round. To get him in the second is awesome.
  17. How is a receiver a luxury pick? We most certainly needed another weapon for Josh.
  18. It all depends on what Brown looks like. Maybe I'm wrong and the dude looks like a pro-bowler this year. I don't think that's going to be the case, but it's possible. Realistically, I just hope he's serviceable. Not lights-out, but not terrible like he was last season either. But if he looks more like last year's version, they need to be prepared. I don't know what kind of grade the Bills have for Bergeron, but from what I've seen of him, I'd be willing to trade up in the second. I think a rookie Bergeron would be better than last season's Brown, with the plus side that he gets better each year. This offseason, we knew what had to be done...Get Josh weapons and get Josh protection. I'm not convinced we've done enough yet on the OL.
  19. You hope for the best, but plan for the worst. While I hope a real offseason and training camp is all he needs, I'm not going to gamble the season on that being the case. Our schedule is brutal this year and unless we get better O-line play than we did last year, it's going to be a long season.
  20. So if he's the week 1 starter and by week 2, it's obvious he's not getting it done, then what?
  21. I think the gaping hole is at OT, specifically Brown. I'm not willing to bet the entire season and possibly Josh Allen's health on the hope that Spencer Brown figures out how to play. If we don't draft an OT or at least someone that can play OT, what are our real options if it becomes apparent a game or two into the season that Brown just isn't getting the job done?
  22. Are they willing to bet the health of the franchise player on him performing? There has to be a contingency plan in place. Otherwise, then what? We just have to deal with a huge liability there for the season? They can hope all they want, but it will become apparent pretty quickly once the season starts if this healing time and training camp we were told was all he needed is actually the case.
  23. Beasley was one of Josh's favorite targets. The slot role evaporated from the offense last season and it was evident. Beasley was the safe outlet who always seemed to be able to find the hole in the zone and be there when Josh needed him. He wasn't there this past season and we saw Josh revert to hero ball at times. I don't think Dorsey's playcalling helped the situation as I felt it fed Josh's bad behaviors at times and we didn't really use Knox as much as we should've either. If Dorsey can truly reinvent the Cole Beasley role that Beane talked about Kincaid being, just in a different package, we will have the piece back that was so glaringly missing last season.
  24. My preferences for Round 2 are Bergerson, Simpson, or Sanders. The problem is I don't see any of them still being on the board at 59.
  25. I'm optimistic, but not holding out hope. I honestly don't see Bergeron, Sanders, or Simpson falling to us at 59. If any LB went in the first, it probably should've been Simpson and later in the round.
