I agree with everything you're saying there, but those other teams I think also had coaching staffs that were more willing to make the adjustments needed to iron out the kinks. I've pretty much lost all faith in Frazier at this point. He's stubbornly committed to only rushing 4 and allowing some fairly pedestrian QB's to sit back and pick us apart. Offense needs to figure out what is happening to them in 2nd halfs of games and Josh needs to make better decisions and take what the defense is giving him. While I think they most certainly CAN turn it around, whether that actually WILL or not is two different things.

If Hyde and Poyer Are Healthy, We're Undefeated

Don't see how you could make such an assumption when we aren't generating hardly any pass rush to speak of, and our offense has done almost nothing in the second half for 3 straight games now. -
Yeah, Dillion was a good runner, but he only played 3 seasons with NE and only rushed for 1K once. James White was the best back NE had because he was the best fit for their offense.

Who was the "primo" back the Rams last season? And Brady had "primo" backs? Since when?

Who has been the biggest disappointment?

Oh, how I long for the days where we got consistent production out of a receiver not named Diggs. This offense is clearly lacking the consistency and dependability of a Beasley-type player in that role. I personally think Shakir is the best made for that role, but once again, our coaching staff seems to think McK is the man, where he's proven more often than not, that he's clearly not. -
It's so bizarre. I've been going through other team's box scores to see if there's a trend with any other teams looking like a completely different team the second half. There is. The Vikings. Except in the opposite order and we saw that yesterday. The Bills had that stat going for awhile were they didn't allow a 3rd quarter or 2nd half TD. That's obviously gone out the window and now the stat is our own team not being able to score a TD in the second half.

One has to wonder what this coaching staff is doing at halftime. Our offense goes into snooze mode or even worse, turnover mode, in second-halfs lately. Few if any defensive adjustments where they realize they need to actually get pressure on the QB and start bringing heat instead of letting the opposing QB sit back there until receivers get open. I saw an interesting stat this morning that I thought to myself, "no way that's accurate". I had to go back and double check, but it absolutely is. The Bills have not scored a second half touchdown since the Knox game winner at KC. That floored me. That's just not going to cut it.

Most of that is due to the fact Frazier rarely blitzes and seems to be fine with rushing 4 and not getting pressure. Tells me he's scared to death of his secondary and thinks we need 7 in coverage every play.

Any other conclusion than this is on the coaches, is just wrong

Right, the D didn't play their best ball today, but they did put the offense in the position to win it. -

Irrelevant. The Defense put the offense in a position to win the game. When the chips were down, Josh unfortunately blew it today. No excuse for throwing that ball. None. -

Muted. Your football acumen is as bad as your attempted insults. -
Who said they weren't? Everything was going fine until Josh decided to force the ball.
-
Calm him down from what? He looked fine. He forced the ball. Simple as that. Same thing he's been doing since the bye. even if we did take a T.O. there's nothing saying he still doesn't go out there and force the bad ball.
-
Take a T.O. for what? We were moving the ball just fine. And even if they do take a T.O., so what? What says Josh still doesn't force that ball?

I'm not playing the hypothetical game with you. I'm playing the what has actually happened on the field to this point game with you. The Bills are 3rd in the Division, with an 0-2 record in it. For you to sit there and act like our playoff picture outlook hasn't gotten much harder now than it was before the Jet and Minn losses, is simply laughable. -
Most passing plays have multiple reads at short, medium, and longer distances. The underneath was open. The pass to Gabe was well covered. You never throw that ball. There was nothing wrong with the play. Josh forced the ball when he had other options that were open.

Teams need spectacular plays to beat us by 3
Billz4ever replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
So your take is that it's a total coincidence teams make big plays to beat us or is it more the case that we allow teams to make big plays against us? -
None of that matters when the game was ours to win. Plenty of time left, we are marching, and Josh forces a ball for no reason when the shorter routes were open.

Interesting logic. It's almost like you're saying losing in November doesn't make making the playoffs harder. You realize we're third in the Division now, right? -

Yeah, we give up a lot of 3rd downs but the game was ours to win today. D held them to a FG and we were marching. For whatever reason, Josh decided he needed to force the ball (again) and we blow it. Can't blame the D there. -

3 turnovers by Josh. How is this not on him? 2 INTs and the fumbled exchange in our EZ. Josh has looked like young Josh ever since this team has come back from the bye. Making bad decisions and forcing balls into coverage. Do the coaches need to take some responsibility for the poor play? Sure they do, but they aren't the ones forcing the ball into coverage when the shorter routes are open. He has to own that and learn to take what the Defense is giving him. This game was ours to win. The D held them to a FG and we were marching with plenty of time. Josh, again, forced the ball when it was completely unnecessary. -
The Chiefs are winning. We are not.
-
Something happened during the bye week. It's like he came back as a different guy. You could probably say the same thing about the Defense, but Josh forcing the ball like he has been the last several weeks just wasn't happening before. I don't know if he's cracking under the pressure of MVP or SB talk or what, but something has changed.

What's everyone's opinion here...does this loss to Minn impact OBJs decision and make him take us out of consideration?
