How many times did the Bills start off like gangbusters in the lean years only to implode later? A Bills fan of all people should know better than to making a huge deal about 3-0. You're going to have to really try hard to convince me why I'm supposed to be impressed by a team that barely broke 200 yards of offense against a decimated defense.

The way it's supposed to work is the defense that's on the field the whole game is the team that is supposed to be in trouble with fatigue. It was our own offense that it appeared to impact more, not Miami's D. It was hot. It was hot for Miami and their D was on the field for 42 mins compared to 18 for ours. That clearly should've worked in our favor, but it didn't.

Josh shouldn't be in the position of having to throw it 63 times in a game either. This was supposed to be the year we finally got a complementary running game to take some heat off Josh. Saw some flashes against LA, but outside of the long run by Moss today, I'm not impressed. Josh is incredible, but we can't expect perfection from him every week.

That right there is what gets this coaching staff in trouble. Against the Rams and Titans, we were getting pressure on the majority of plays just rushing 4. This coaching staff hasn't figured it out yet that if you're not getting good pressure with just the front 4, you're going to have to blitz a backer or something. Far too often they think they can get away with this and with a secondary depleted by injuries, you most certainly cannot.

I would need to see the replay to be sure, but I'm thinking he was not, which defies logic.

Not to mention allowing a deep completion on 3rd and 22 because you decided to only rush 3 and allow Tua to find the hole in our depleted secondary.

3rd and 22, 3-man rush. How do you allow a deep ball that wide open with 8 in coverage? That was the time to bring pressure. If your secondary is decimated, you don't give the opposing QB time to find the holes. That was the play of the game in my view.

Hopefully just precautionary. I was thinking he was just having hand cramping on the sideline while they were looking at him. There was no indication Keenum was warming up to possibly have to go in.

They may not be trash, but I don't think they are a great team either. 212 yards of offense. That's it. Against a defense decimated by injuries. I think the mistakes by the Bills were a much bigger factor in this game than anything MIami did.

No objective fan of football actually thinks Miami is a better team than the Bills. That's like saying Indy is better than KC. The better team doesn't always win.

Haven't watched any post game yet. Too disgusted. McD been asked about 3rd and 22 yet? Losing games like this is why we always are going to Arrowhead in the postseason instead of playing at home.

Man, after watching this game, I'm even more convinced this was our year and because of a couple dumb play calls we weren't in this game tonight.

STILL need to address the Run D. I don't know how many times this season, when we least needed it, we couldn't stop the run when we needed to. Our run D has seemed to be the Achilles heel of our D for so long I can't even remember when it was actually good. Probably have to go back to when we had Sam Adams and Ted Washington plugging up everything between the tackles. Pass rush also seemed to be lacking. Some games it seemed we had no pass rush to speak off. We should still be solid in the secondary when Tre comes back. Linebackers were just OK this year, IMO. Edmunds hasn't impressed me. I actually think we are better vs the run when Klein was in there. Haack is horrible. We need a new punter. Even when he's not shanking a kick, it seems like his ability to get it inside the 20 is lacking. Always seems to kick it in the endzone. His kicking motion is also so slow, I can't believe he didn't have more kicks blocked. I think we're fine on special teams and Bass is pretty dependable. Receivers: If Gabe can keep getting better and play like he did the end of the season, watch out. Teams will have a tough time deciding who to double cover. Combine that with Knox having a decent year, our receivers/TEs are some of the best in football. O-line surprised me this season. Allen took minimal sacks, even though some of that can be credited to his legs. I do wish we could get more of a running game out of our backs. Singletary seemed to turn it up a notch at the end, but having the ability to establish a legitimate running game from someone not named Josh Allen would be awesome. Coaching: I'm still salty from the playoff game. Our coaching staff has amazing moments and then some of the worst play calling moments at some of the worst possible times on both sides of the ball. Frazier: I was still hoping someone would pick him up for a coaching job and take him off our hands. #1 D blah, blah blah....a lot of that came down to teams we were playing and weather also was a factor a few games. I'm just not a fan of his playstyle. I think it's too conservative and against certain teams, the D just gets picked apart. The playoff game was one example and the Tennessee game was another. Being #1 on paper doesn't mean your D strikes fear in the other team's offense like a #1 defense should. Daboll: Good luck in NY, you're gonna need it. Got frustrated with his playcalling numerous times this season because it didn't feel like he was playing to the strengths of the offense. Playoff game for example...how long did it take him to figure out Mathieu was out of the game before we started letting Josh put serious pressure on their secondary? When he was dialed in, he was the best in the business. This season, he seemed to either not be paying attention to what the D was giving him or he was simply trying too hard. McD: I like him. Again, questionable play calls at times, but I put those on the coordinators calling the plays. The players like him and he seems to be able to get a lot out of them. Wildcard: Ken Dorsey. If he can keep Josh rolling along and keep a good thing going I think he can pick right up where Daboll left off and possibly be even better as long as he doesn't try to do too much too quick. Stay with what worked, dump the trash that didn't. Front office: Can't really complain there. We aren't in salary cap hell with a bunch of dead weight and I like most of the draft calls. If we tighten up the D, which seems to be an every year thing, get a legitimate run game going outside of #17, and keep these guys hungry, this team is the best in the AFC, if not the league.

I just don't see the hype around him. Yes, he's fast and has sideline to sideline speed and yes, he makes a lot of tackles. The problem is that most of the tackles I see him make are downfield on a RB or on a WR/TE downfield after a catch is made. Is that what we pay top dollar for a Middle Linebacker to do? I don't think he's very good in pass coverage and he's not a good run stuffing MLB that can shoot the gap or quickly fill the hole and stuff run plays. He's really one of those guys that's above average at a lot of things, but not great/standout at any of them. On the plus side, he's still young so if he stays healthy, he has a lot of football left to play. Depending on what we could get for him, I'd be open for a trade.

Nah, the Cowboys were just the better team. We knew it going in. They just ran up the score after the outcome was already certain. The losses where you know the Biils should've won and you honestly believe the Bills were the better team are the ones that sting more.

I think the last thing we needed right now is someone from the outside coming in and changing up the entire system. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. It would be nice if we were able to generate a better running game from the RBs. Of course Josh can run, but I hold my breath every time he does. Even a pulled hammy as he's going out of bounds could really screw this team.

Here's a question...Josh has several years under his belt now. I think Josh has grown immensely and has a good grasp of what plays need to be called based on what the defense is doing (recognizing coverages, blitzes, etc). Do we let Josh start calling some of his own plays?

We punted on a 4th and inches, which only changed field position by like 25 yards. Josh wanted to go and McD played it safe.

To me, this loss was the worst. Worse than wide right worse than music city miracle. We had this game won. It wasn't down to 1 play where things went sideways. This loss took a series of mistakes, starting from the decision to kick it deep, to letting receivers running wide open 15 yards downfield. You really have to try to lose a game like this and amateur hour play calling did exactly that.

Josh left it all on the field tonight. Minus the crap run, run, run play calls, who knows what he could've done tonight.

Poyer and Hyde, but they can only do so much.

Tre or no Tre same result. The defensive play calling was atrocious. Sitting back in a soft zone nearly the entire game almost allowing them to catch the ball and then reacting. We effectively shut down Mahomes earlier this year. For some reason, they completely abandoned that defensive game plan and just allowed Mahomes to pick them apart.

I'll never understand the play calling mindset that says, yeah, let's leave pro bowl receivers wide open 15 yds downfield, especially when the Chiefs still had timeouts. If they were out, that's one thing, but what we watched was inexcusable. That's amateur hour level coaching.

You jam receivers at the line, making it take longer to get downfield and throwing off timing. To let receivers run free and wide open 15 yds down field is simply unbelievable.

Why wouldn't we blame the D? We literally beat this same team early in the season by playing smart D and limiting PM's options. They completely abandoned that defensive game plan and dropped into soft zone all night just letting receivers catch balls and then reacting instead of clogging throwing lanes, jamming receivers and forcing bad throws like the game earlier in the season. Defense straight up laid an egg tonight.
