  1. Sammy had so much potential.
  2. Beane drafted a running back, traded for a running back, and made calls about two other high profile running backs (McCaffrey and Kamara). Does that sound like a GM that blames the offensive line and thinks the running backs are completely fine? I don’t think so. He is clearly looking to improve the RB position, and I think you’ll see further proof of that when Singletary is not retained after the season. When I go back and watch the All-22, I’m often yelling “ahh, there was a huge cutback lane there!” Its less about what Singletary does do, and more about what he misses. You’re right that the offensive line is not good at run blocking, but there are still opportunities every game for cutbacks that he just doesn’t take. I don’t know if he lacks the vision for it, or if he just understands his limitations and knows his lateral agility and speed would not be able to make the move necessary. Either way, it’s a problem for the Bills offense. Take the following video of McCaffrey for example. You and I both know that Singletary would have plowed right into the hole in front of him for a 4 yard gain (the one McCaffrey originally takes), instead of taking the cutback that netted 20 yards. That will not change with a better offensive line. Singletary is who he is.
  3. Not only that but he is very risk averse of high draft pick trades. Mike Florio made this comment yesterday on his show and I think he is right. He said if the Bills spent the 2nd and 3rd round pick that the Rams did to acquire Von Miller last year, he thinks we make those 1 or 2 defensive stops we needed against the Chiefs in the playoffs and the Bills have a Super Bowl trophy right now. Would you trade James Cook and Terrell Bernard for a SB trophy right now? I would. And that’s nothing against those players. They may end up being very good players. But SB trophies are so hard to come by, that losing a could good players to capture one, is worth it. I know the 49ers gave up a mini-haul for McAffrey, but it may end up being worth it. He is already taking over their offense. Beane values draft picks very highly, and I can respect that when you’re building and maintaining a team, but when you’re *THIS* close to a Super Bowl, I wish he would just say “eff them picks” one year, like the Rams did.
  4. Agreed. Just posted this photo in another thread but I suppose it belongs here as well. You HAVE to catch this. Allen put it right in your bread basket. We sure could use Crowder right now.
  5. For me personally, it's not just the loss, but HOW we lost. Allen throwing directly to defenders, both lines getting mauled at the line of scrimmage, and Gabe Davis dropping balls that hit him right in the hands or chest. I can feel good about a hard fought, tough loss, when we play well. I have a harder time feeling good when we lose to an inferiro team while playing so poorly and its the second game in a row. Mike Tomlin said that two games is a trend in the NFL. There are only 17 games. 2 games is over 10% of the season
  6. I only do that because this site doesn’t let you upload videos or images above a certain mb of space. It would be impossible to show this video without it. I didn’t hide that it’s my Twitter, so i’m not sure why it would be a problem or what the alternative would be.
  7. Yeah I’m the tweet poster. It was near the end of the 1st quarter.
  8. Oh wow I missed that. He is one tough guy, so it wouldn’t surprise me if he just doesn’t say anything to the training staff. Yeah watch not only the hit but also how his head snaps back when he hits the ground. Potential to be ugly.
  9. Im not good at detecting sarcasm. Did this actually happen yesterday or did I miss the joke?
  10. I have no proof to back it up, just speculating. Do you think it’s possible that Allen was concussed on this play and it has been affecting his play? I know he popped right back up after the hit but we all know Josh is one tough SOB!
  11. Gabe Davis. I thought after that breakout KC game he would take off this year. Instead he has cost us many drives (and even a TD) due to his drops. He can’t be relied on as a true #2.
  12. Some posters really don’t take negativity well.
  13. Good thread. The loss doesn’t bother me as much as the concern that this slump will continue. It does indeed feel like the aura of this team has gone.
  14. Titans defense is putting on a clinic. I thought our D was incredible against KC and somehow the Titans D looks even better.
  15. I’ve never heard that before. I hope you’re remember wrong because that’s a bit scary.
  16. We are averaging less than 1 point less per game than last year.
  17. Titans defense is just mauling the Chiefs so far.
  18. I felt we were closer in 2021 than 2020. I know we were not in the literal sense, but better team and only the Bengals in front of us had we beat KC.
  19. Yeah I was super hopeful that Gabe was going to step up this season and become that legit 1b threat he was in the Chiefs playoff game. Instead he has dropped so many passes that he just seems unreliable as even a #3.
  20. 55% catch percentage for Davis? My goodness.
  21. The guy who’s been on the team for years now?
  22. I didn’t notice that at all today. Both INT’s we’re on shorter passes.
  23. Josh is my favorite player (perhaps ever - FJax is in the running too), but Mahomes does seem to have stinkers a bit less often. Allen has had 7 multiple INT games in the last season and a half. Mahomes has 4 in that same time period. Not quite half as often but close to it. Allen also had 9 games with 59% or less completion percentage in the last season and a half. Whereas Mahomes has 4 such games. I still wouldn’t trade Allen for Mahomes though. Allen is Western NY through and through and I love m that. .
