Velariums were used in round "stadiums", which is a big engineering difference than rectangular, and they covered the entire seating area (Not a portion of it - like the Seahawks).

I answered his question. Why did we change from gap to zone? I think it was because Daboll wanted to feature more RPO's in the offense. At the pro level, it is typically easier to run RPO's with zone blocking than gap. Which is why most teams do so.

I don't blame Allen for a single one of the interceptions. INT 1 - Ball was tipped. INT 2 - Allen threw it to a spot, but Beasley didn't get to it because he was interfered with. INT 3 - Ball was tipped. Not a single one of those interceptions were bad throws. If one chooses, they can nitpick his decision making to throw *at all* on the first INT. But I will not. He has scored or gotten first downs by making that exact type of throw on so many occasions, that I'm not going to throw the baby out with the bathwater.

He's also put the ball on the ground 3 times this year. 1 fumble, 2 muffs.

I'm not an engineer but I have a hard time envisioning a partial roof that covers most of the stands without it being nearly enclosed in full. Rain/snow doesn't fall straight down. It comes at an angle. For this reason, Seahawk fans still get soaked in the rain. EDIT: A quick google search revealed that it's pretty hit or miss. There are certain rows and sections that are better covered than others. Eek. Lets hope. .

I agree. Diggs had the CB beat and I am more than okay with Allen taking that shot. A better pass and that is a touchdown. As it is, Diggs still got his hands on it.

Thanks for pointing one out. Any others? He did have Knox for a 2 yard pass that likely would have turned into a 6-8 yard gain. There were 2 Falcon defenders 8 yards from Knox (waiting at the 1st down line).

Have you ever been to Minneapolis in the winter? It has a glass roof that is literally designed for tons of snow.

I have historically been anti-dome for similar reasons. Traditional domes feel like a crypt. In the modern era, domes are not like this. There is so much natural light that you feel like you are outside. Examples:

I disagree that 10% of the stadium being empty is “great”. Ever.

The corners are full during the warm games. I can show you photos, if you’d like. Do you feel that 90% full is a good thing?

The entire upper deck had large areas of empty seats.

That 2007 Patriot team is the greatest team in NFL history. In a winner-take-all one game matchup, i’d choose them over any other team. Oh how I enjoyed the Giants beating them. Thankfully it wasn’t a series, because the Patriots would have easily won that.
