  1. I am convinced that we will never be able to take that out of him. It’s simply interwoven in his DNA.
  2. Absolutely no reason for Allen to jump into defenders there.
  3. The only offense they have right now is to run. And we are having difficulty stopping it.
  4. Welp, there is a reason why Poyer had little market. We just saw why.
  5. This Jets defense is no joke. So we can’t throwing up hail mary’s when you have room to run.
  6. Allen had 1 guy to beat and he would have had a 20+ yard gain. Ouch.
  7. I’m starting to believe it is a coaching issue. We have had this issue for years with players refusing to run straight and losing ground.
  8. I can’t believe that Spencer Brown is the best RT on our team.
  9. They just spent 10 minutes talking about the Jets and about 1 minute talking about the Bills. Wow.
  10. 1 great pick washes away a lot of draft sins.
  11. Mentioned in another thread as well, but I think it is clear that the coaching staff is not high on Elam. He is probably the 5th CB after Tre, Benford, Taron, and Dane. We drafted him knowing that he has never played a down of zone and then threw him into a zone-heavy offense. And I believe that affected him mentally as well. In fact, during an interview a few weeks ago he said: "I stayed up nights trying to figure how to make plays playing zone" last season. It’s unfortunate because in the draft we acquired Elam, KC traded in front of us to acquire Trent McDuffie, who looks like an absolute stud so far. I know there are people who don’t believe we would have drafted McDuffie even if he were there. I hope that isn’t true, because he clearly was the right choice.
  12. Sal, speaking on WGR, just said that he spoke to Meteorologist Pat Hammer, and was told that rain could extend to halftime.
  13. There was also a concert on the turf on Friday.
  14. No worries! Our equipment staff has us prepared for all situations.
  15. I was highly impressed with the lack of lag. Those who watched Amazon Prime's first streamed game may remember the lag they had to work on. YouTube handled it seamlessly. One portion I did not like - There was no easy way to flip back and forth between games. No "previous" button. So I had to reverse back to the home screen, then pick another game, and then have it load. Took about 5 to 10 seconds each time I switched games.
  16. I agree that he is not hopeless as a football player. But it's possible that he may be hopeless in *this* system. We drafted him knowing that he has never played a down of zone and then threw him into a zone-heavy offense. And I believe that affected him mentally as well. In fact, during an interview a few weeks ago he said: "I stayed up nights trying to figure how to make plays playing zone" last season. It also appears that the Bills were honest with Elam this off-season about where he was struggling. He mentioned in that same interview that he tried this training camp to put on film that he is getting better on all the areas that "the G.M. and the head coach wanted to see from me".
  17. Active or not, I think it is clear that the coaching staff is not high on Elam. He is probably the 5th CB after Tre, Benford, Taron, and Dane.
  18. Looks like a rainy day in Jersey, but expected to clear up by the 2nd quarter:
  19. I will be parking in Lot 2, but look forward to walking over to the TBD tailgate and meeting some of you.
  20. Agreed. The Dolphins offense has the potential to be lethal and they showed it today. They put extreme pressure on the outside with two speedy receivers in Hill and Waddle. Then when a defense adjusts to bracket the outside, the Dolphins begin to exploit the middle. They played this cat and mouse game with the Chargers all game long. Tua, while not a top five quarterback, has the one skill that is essential in the offense that Mike McDaniels (Dolphins head coach) runs. Accuracy! He is also *just* mobile enough to be annoying. Thankfully, the Dolphins achilles heal from last season showed no signs of being any better. The defense. The addition of Vic Fangio made little difference today, as the Chargers racked up 433 yards of offense. Hopefully this continues.
