I thought the same thing, but i’m conflicted how much of that is due to him being under center and how much of it is due to playing a much easier defense.

I’m convinced that the Jets are just this teams kryptonite. Dallas walked right down the field against that defense.

Yeah. He made a comment this offseason about how he would stay up nights stressing about how he could make plays in a zone defense. And I think mentally he gets in his own head. Good memory. I think the strong value that culture plays on this administration was really drawn to Elam's sales tactic of bringing his notebook to the combine and he drove it home with that playbook on the plane comment.

The worst part in my opinion is that the Chiefs jumped in front of us to pick Trent McDuffie. Who looks like an absolute stud. GunnerBill and I have debated whether the Bills would have taken McDuffie had the Chiefs not jumped us, but regardless, it’s a bad look. So, either: 1) Beane wanted McDuffie but let the Chiefs outmaneuver him. or 2) Beane had Elam in front of McDuffie on the draft board, which is probably even worse.

Yeah, I think it’s obvious that Elam is a bust as far as this team is considered. Maybe he can resurrect his career with a team that runs more man.
