New stadium cost goes up from $1.4 billion to $1.54 billion.
Einstein replied to cba fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Source? Don't think that happened. You might be able to find money going towards improvements of roads, or tax credits - but I see no evidence of the government giving Walmart billions to build stores. Again, source? This is much much much much different than cash. Getting a tax credit to reduce the tax burden on a businesses land to incentivize them to come or stay, is way different than handing them a check for nearly $1 billion dollars. -
GOAT debate related to era Montana vs Brady
Einstein replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
Brady had won 3 Super Bowl’s before the DB rule change occurred and before the league began to crack down on QB hits. Thats the most impressive part. Brady won SB’s in BOTH era’s. Remember when Nate Clements knocked Brady’s block off? One of the most savage QB hits in memory and Brady won the SB that same year. -
GOAT debate related to era Montana vs Brady

Nothing against Montana, but anyone downgrading Brady is just hating. His sustained excellence for 20 years will never be seen again. -
This. He's not good. lol. Close! One of the lowest rated LB's in the NFL last season. Mostly because he is terrible as a pass defender. Doesn't fit our defense at all.

Lamar Jackson wants guarantees that exceed Watson contract
Einstein replied to SCBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Lamar has been rebuffing the Ravens attempt sign him for YEARS now. At the end of the 2020 season, the Ravens tried to negotiate a contract with Lamar and he wouldn't do it. May 1 2021: DeCosta (Ravens GM) says he’ll “work tirelessly to get a deal done,” and that, with the NFL draft over, “we’ve got other things now on our plate, and Lamar Jackson is one of those things.” May 26 2021: At organized team activities, making his first comments since the 2020 season ended, Jackson says he’s spoken with DeCosta about a contract extension. June 16 2021: Jackson then switches it up and says he’s “not really focused on [negotiations] right now." Lamar could have had a contract the last 2 years. That's why everyone keeps bringing up the last 2 years. This former NFL agent says the same thing: -
Lamar Jackson wants guarantees that exceed Watson contract
Einstein replied to SCBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
I genuinely don’t think he understands. He keeps talking about how Lamar will make more on the transition tag this year than Allen, ignoring the previous 2 year payday. Ravens offered Lamar a huge deal in 2021. He also says Lamar’s deal is independent of Allen’s, despite the Ravens offering Lamar a contract worth more than Allen’s. He also compared Lamar’s strategy to Kirk, which isn’t the same as Kirk played under franchise tags, not transition tags, which is a large monetary difference, AND Kirk wasn’t being offered the second largest QB contract in the league and turning it down. I genuinely think he is just ignorant in this particular conversation. -

I can’t tell if you genuinely don’t understand this concept or if you’re just trolling, so i’ll just let it go. -
Lamar Jackson wants guarantees that exceed Watson contract
Einstein replied to SCBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Because that money is already lost. Even if he signs a monster deal now, he can’t catch up because even if it’s $40M more than Allen’s, that just breaks him even, and he’ll be under contract for 2 years longer than Allen because he dragged his feet. His best case scenario is he breaks even with what he could have gotten (assuming a $40M offset), and doesn’t hit free agency until 2 years after the other QB’s in his draft class. -

Which would be still be nearly $40M less than if he had signed. There is no way for Lamar to catch up to where he would have been. It’s impossible. -

He’s lost tens of thousands of dimes. -

The money he would have made if he signed in 2021. ”Jackson was eligible for a new contract in 2021. He instead earned $1.77 million that year. Last year, under the fifth-year option, he made $23 million. That’s $24.77 million total over the last two years. Just look at Josh Allen. Even at the maximum allowed rate of three percent, he has received $64.214 million over the last two years. Jackson has received 100 percent of $24.77 million.“ https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2023/03/11/will-lamar-jackson-hire-an-agent-now-probably-not/amp/ -

I'll be shocked if you can't find good tickets for "cheap" at kickoff, even with the new stadium. Too many brokers buy entire rows. -
He can't sign with the Jets... he's a Packer.

300-500 per game? where? you can buy CLUB tickets for $130 on gameday right now. People slash tickets as kickoff approaches. Thats what I wait for. Not to mention, season-ticket holders are on the hook for injuries, crap teams, crap coaches, bad luck, etc. Allen gets injured in Game 1 (God forbid), and all of a sudden you have 7-8 useless home tickets. Bills hire the next Dick Jauron? You can have 3 years (25-26) useless home tickets. -
Rodgers won 2 MVP's with Hackett as his OC.

None of this changes the fact that the majority (or even half) is not coming from Pegula’s pocket. The crux of your argument is that Pegula is gauranteeint the payment without seeing the PSL money (but that’s every stadium/owner ever). And that Pegula could have moved the team. Neither one of those points changes that Pegula is NOT paying for half of the stadium. There is a reason why economists call this one of the sweetest and most team friendly stadium deals ever. https://www.si.com/.amp/nfl/2022/04/12/business-football-bills-stadium-deshaun-watson-contract -

Einstein replied to cba fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
We have already been over this, and NO, Pegula will not come close to 50% of the stadium costs. He will be closer to 20%. A massive portion of the $550M is coming from PSL’s (not Pegula’s money) and the G4 loan that is tied to the VISITORS cut of the ticket sales (again, not Pegula’s money). So essentially, the taxpayers are paying for the taxpayer funded part. And the fans are paying for most of the Pegula portion. From the Buffalo news article on it: https://buffalonews.com/business/local/explainer-how-the-pegulas-will-leverage-seat-licenses-to-pay-a-big-part-of-the/article_a96b0e12-02de-11ed-8398-67952b630e33.html -
Yeah this was my main point. Agreed.

Personally, I think thread merging is just a bad idea a lot of times. Not always, but many times it is. No one can keep track of a 30+ page thread with information buried in it. It seems like the rules of common human engagement just gets tossed out of the window when talking online. Imagine talking with a friend in real life and then suddenly a powerful being tells you to stop talking because there are 50 other people already talking about a similar topic. Then he snaps his fingers and your conversation is now part of this huge other conversation and this new massive conversation is not at the same place (topic wise) that yours was and this new massive conversation has already devolved into side topic that you weren’t talking about with your friend, etc. It’s a mess.

I don’t see Spencer’s issues being fixed with time, because his issue is slow feet. When he gets beat around edge, it looks like he’s running in sand. I just don’t see how time fixes speed.

This should be posted in massive bold font all throughout the Bills locker room.

Genuinely surprised at how many people still fall for April Fools!

I also didn’t include comp % down the stretch (which was bad), y/a, etc. You want a full breakdown of every stat. How about the splits? Want those too? If you want to include his 3 rushing TD’s, go for it. But it doesn’t change anything. Listing every stat is pointless when we all know he didn’t play well down the stretch. Unless you think he did?
