Thinking about it again... I have to change my answer to two possible dates, both tragic days. Jan 27, 2001: Oklahoma State basketball played in Boulder, Colorado against the Buffaloes. The game ended and the team took 3 charter planes back to Stillwater. One didn't make it back. It took the lives of 10 staff members, players and coaches. Shook the OSU community to it's core and still has a huge effect on the school and even state. Team managed to make it to the NCAA tournament that season after what happened. Nov 18, 2011: Oklahoma State v Iowa State football in Ames, IA. The day before, another Oklahoma State plane went down, killing the girls head basketball coach and lead assistant (along with the pilot and his wife). In Stillwater, the kids who are athletes... they are all close. Mens basketball, football hung out with the womens sports. Mainly basketball. OSU went to Ames undefeated (10-0), ranked 2nd in the country and Brandon Weeden was the lead for the Heisman. Two wins away from the BCS Championship game. The Pokes were up early, but it slipped away. Lost in OT. Justin Blackmon (who I know his family really well) said that the entire team just walked through the game. No emotion, almost played depressed. The game cost OSU the National Title shot (we would have won) and changed college football into what we have today (CFP).

Dude is a bad ass, but not sure if Knox can't be a top 5 TE. Just need to get him the right plays. I saw Mayer play live when I went to the Fiesta Bowl in 2022 to watch ND play my Cowboys. I was so frustrated (but extremely impressed) with him. I thought he was first round potential back then. Was surprised when he came back.

I don't hate the SEC at all. My youngest daughter goes to Ole Miss. I pull for them and Arkansas (close tied to Oklahoma State) all the time. I've been to a half dozen Ole Miss home games the past 2 years. I'm not a fan of Alabama or Saban... after ESPN allowing him on the air during a 44-3 beat down in Bedlam in 2011 so he could cheerlead why Alabama (who didn't win their DIVISION) should get to replay LSU in the title game over Oklahoma State. Alabama to me are college football's Patriots. Sick of them. SEC is the best conference, hands down, in college football and has for a good decade + Don't hate them at all. I guess I have to suck Stark's **** or I hate the SEC? Okay dude. LOL Your cluelessness about Big XII football is pretty glaring. Looking at all your posts about Quentin Johnston, which there's A LOT tells me you have something personal against the guy. Again, you must be a Michigan fan. Sour grapes.

If you actually quoted me correctly... would give you more creditability. That said, the SEC (aside from UGA) has been on par with the Big XII defensively the past couple of years. Lets get real. EXAMPLE: Oklahoma State had a top 2 defense in 2021, only 2nd to Georgia. While the Cowboys were playing games where they allowed like 2 touchdowns in the 2nd half all season that year, Florida was giving up 52 points to Samford. I was at PLENTLY of Ole Miss home games where it would get into a ridiculous shootout (like the Ole Miss v Arkansas game in 2021, 100+ points scored). Don't act like the SEC is a defensive conference anymore. THEY ARE NOT EVEN CLOSE. You have Georgia, maybe Alabama (even though they've had games were they looked like trash on defense). That's about it. SEC is not any better than the Big XII defensively overall anymore. Neither are Big 10 level.

Oklahoma State v Oklahoma - 2013 - Stillwater OSU came into the game, just a year removed from the Big XII title and Fiesta Bowl BCS win (should have played LSU in the National Championship game, not Andrew Luck and Stanford). OSU ranked 6th, OU 18th. The game is for the Big XII Championship. The Cowboys are up 24-20 with about 1:51 to play. OU had the ball... and on an OU pass, cornerback Justin Gilbert for OSU intercepted the ball. Caught it in the air, was flipped onto his head and hit the ground with his elbow... ball in his arms. Ball popped out and the officials called it incomplete. Blake Bell (yea, the backup TE for Kansas City) managed to drive down the field and scored with a few seconds to play to give OU the win. It was a HUGE roller coaster game... earthquake in the 2nd quarter (during an OSU FG attempt, which he actually made), the back and forth and then what I "thought" was a game winning interception. I'll never forget my 11-year old little girl jumping into my arms out of pure joy of watching her first Bedlam football win only to see her crying at the end of the game. It. Sucked.

Funny... I watched him play at TCU for 3 seasons. He managed 163 yards against Michigan in the CFP. How many games did you see him play in? Besides the CFP games. He was the LONE WR on that team. Every team doubled him and he still had games where he just looked unstoppable. BTW: Defenses in the top 30 last season? Big XII: 4 SEC: 4

Brother, THANK YOU!!!! I went to the link and over the next several days, finally got access to my account last night. Was getting frustrated because I would enter the code they emailed to my email and it would continue to say "YOU'VE TRIED TOO MANY TIMES", so I'd have to wait 24 hours. I about gave up, waited 48 hours and did it again... allowed me to get into the account last night and finally changed it back to my name. So again, thanks a BUNCH!

I live in the small town that Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani (my future wife) lives in here in Oklahoma (Tishomingo, population of 3200). A friend of mine, who I went to school with, is on the Oklahoma supreme court. He was appointed by Kevin Stitt (Oklahoma governor) who is a frat brother of mine from Oklahoma State. We lived in the house together from 1993-95. That's about it.

I've had Direct FOREVER. One issue, I live in the sticks in Southern Oklahoma and can only get satellite TV and internet. I'm waiting on my Starlink equipment and as soon as I have it installed, I'm cancelling Dish and going with YouTube TV. I'll save like $200 a month total.

I've fallen in love with lobster mac and cheese (good for you too if you want to gain 54 pounds overnight). The recipe is from Capitol Grille... I always get this when I stop to see my oldest at BoCo at Berklee in Boston. 8 ounces of lobster (bake 3-4 lobster tails, cracked open and exposed... easiest thing to cook. 375 in the oven for 8 mins. Take out and put butter on each tail, then bake again for another 8 mins). 1 lb of cooked Campanelle pasta, or any "tube" pasta that will hold the sauce/cheese 1 cup of Marscapone, 1 cup of Grana Padano (or parm if you can't find it), 1 cup of Havarti 1/2 cup of white chedder 4 tablespoons of parm, 2-3 tablespoons of butter and 1/2 cup of panko breadcrumbs 1 quart of heavy cream Cook the lobster, you can let it cool when you make the rest. Dice it into chunks once you can grab it and handle it... Cook the pasta. In a deep pan/skillet... pour the cream in and let it simmer under med heat. Once it starts to simmer, add the mascarpone, grana and havarti cheeses. Let that melt and thicken up. Add the pasta, cheddar and 3/4 of the lobster and mix it together. Once the cheddar melts, pour all of that into a baking dish. Melt butter then add the parm and panko. Spread that on top of the lobster mac. Bake in the over at around 400 degrees until the panko is browned.

It used to be 4.8"?!?! How did our great grandmothers pop out 16 children working with that? lol

But they didn't read the paper for 7-8 hours a day (like we do with our phones).
