Greatest Individual Season in Buffalo History
stevestojan replied to Mango's topic in The Stadium Wall
Hasek. Damn near an individual accomplishment. And something we will likely never see again in the nets. Not saying the man acquitted of double murder wasn’t a great football player. But I can’t put any player above a position that has so much individual pressure. Hasek is top 3 goalie of all time. And I’m only half kidding when I say John Tavares should be considered in top 10 if we’re OK including all Buffalo teams. Completely dominate in his field. -
Exactly. I moved out of Buffalo 20 years ago. I’ve lived in 7 different cities (for work) since then. Every time I go back to Buffalo, I love it. But I love it because it’s still “home” for me, the people are great and the food is “Buffalo great” (let’s be honest, we have the best Pizza - and one of the places I’ve lived was Hoboken, so I had NYC pizza regularly) but WNY doesn’t have truly excellent cuisine, with few exceptions. I love Buffalo for those reasons. But I go home once a year - for thanksgiving week. And every time I’m reminded of yes the cold, snow, and slush. And none of those bother me too much. Why I’ll never be able to move back is the gray. The gloom. That week in thanksgiving puts me in a funk as the overcast gloomy gray kills me. And that lasts for 75% of the time from early October to march-ish. That said, I’m 43, married, and don’t have tens of millions of dollars. If i was 31 with more money than most and I had no real connection to Buffalo, I’d be calling the Raiders, the Dolphins, the Rams, the Chargers, the 9ers (I was in SF two weeks ago, believe me, it’s not all the 10 blocks of the Tenderloin district that they always show on tv), hell, even the Broncos. He’s still young and despite being married to a monster, has to be considering where we really wants to live and the lifestyle those areas bring.

Shakir Training with Moulds

@Deadstrokeyou used the “eye roll” emoji. Can you explain why? This is a perfectly reasonable post. -
Nice use of whomever.

Trevon Diggs trying to get his brother in Dallas
stevestojan replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
No worries. If he leaves, we have….. *****. -
Well this is concerning. Hopefully it’s just a break for the off-season or maybe a nice vacation. Hope you’re well, Yolo.

At least Cam Lewis isn’t on there. -
You ever sit and wonder when you’ll turn into the grumpy old man we all promise we’ll never become? At least your moment is time stamped.

F5. Ground up and in the Freezer. Retatta.
-
Wow. Handed the game.
-
Only way Eagles stand a chance is letting them score and praying for a 1 minute TD drive to go to OT.

Why not go for 2 there, up by 7 after the score, could have been 9. Now it’s still a one score game.

Stefon Diggs - “I watched the game five times”
stevestojan replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think the injury happened on the 2nd to last play in week 8 against GB so yeah, the timing matches. But I can’t confirm if that’s the same week the entire offensive line quit, or if it’s the same week Gabe Davis decided to start hating footballs. -
Stefon Diggs - “I watched the game five times”
stevestojan replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
Exactly. We have both the best receiver we’ve ever had and the best QB we’ll likely ever see. How there is discussion of anything other than a WR1b to support Diggs or OL to protect Josh is beyond me. -
So sorry to hear brother.

Joe Buscaglia’s Early Thoughts on the Bills Needs Going Into 2023
stevestojan replied to JohnNord's topic in The Stadium Wall
So sick of hearing how we “overcame so much.” The Hamlin situation, got it. Awful, and kudos to all involved; not referring to that in this post. But the team was in a downward spiral well before that. Snow storms, injuries, and having to sleep in a hotel on Christmas all suck. But my god could you imagine if we heard Chiefs fans using these excuses if they lost? We would be laughing, and laughing. Allowing Frazier to destroy this defense for another year is criminal. Allowing him these lame ass excuses is worse.- 85 replies

Top 10 Greatest Coaches That Never Won a Super Bowl
stevestojan replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall
Problem is, Marv is also the main reason we don’t have a ring. I’ll never get over this stat line from SB 25: Thurman Thomas: 15 carries for 135 yards, AVG 9 yards a carry. Even removing his longest run of 31 yards, he’s 14 for 104 or 7.4 yards per. He was running at will against them. Couldn’t be stopped. Im not saying he would have ripped nine yards per carry if we ran it 35 times (Belichick would have adjusted), but 20 carries? 25? That loss, in my opinion, will always come down to that “strategy” or lack of willingness to go away from Jim’s arm when Belichick was begging us to run with 2 down lineman. -
Cheers to the GOAT. He’s immediately walking into a 10-year, $375MM contract with Fox Sports. He won’t be going anywhere.
