So turning a franchise of lovable losers into true SB contenders for three years straight and counting is worth more than the opinions of fans on TBD? Blasphemy.

I understand they also wouldn’t want to exit the vehicle underwater, nor could they with the pressure. But something about literally being bolted in from the outside adds to the terror of this for me. And, if the thing just used buoyancy and ended up breaking the surface, I assume that it doesn’t let air in at that point and still needs the bolts removed?

This is absolute nightmare fuel. I couldn’t imagine many worse ways to go. At this point, I’m hoping the thing just cracked and the end was quick for these 5. However I’ve read that of all the ways the thing was duct taped together, the hull was one thing that wouldn’t fail. Also, was watching an interview with a guy who had been on this death trap last year. He said it wasn’t uncommon to lose communication for 2-3 hours at a clip. So he said that it was likely many many hours before anyone called the coast guard or for any other help.

I think many are forgetting about that last point. We had a scary good defense last year that was bit by the injury bug. With guys healthy again, plus the additions made on the off-season? The defense has only gotten better then. And depending on when Von returns, it got markedly better. I feel like McD will lean into the “break and break hard” style vs Fraziers “bend so much you give a 20 yard cushion on 3rd and long in the ***** playoffs.” We’ll likely give up a few more big plays along the way, but in the whole, I’d bet a good amount we hold teams to fewer points per game this season.

Oh, I agree. I’m also of the mind that we would have gotten crushed in the first Cinnci game, but I don’t think I’m allowed to say that. I was just going on the rumor mill, and it seems feasible after the game was out of hand that Stef got pissed that Josh didn’t do everything possible the night before to be prepped.

And all of this is because (one of the theories) Stef is mad that Josh wasn’t ready for Cinci because of his relationship issues? Well, it almost makes sense. Josh saying it’s not football. Coach being “blindsided” by it. Stef realizing Josh’s night of craziness cost him one of his last shots at a ring.

Whenever I see these old clips I struggle to remember: was the score really not always on the screen or are these just cropped to not show it? I was two years old for this particular game, but even as I start remembering my first games, do I recall that we had to wait for the score to show up if we missed parts of the game?
